Columbus Map Update 2024-2025 (MIB2 HIGH)
Well based on Google the AI answer is as below but thats an AI answer, a proximate quess I reckon for a mib1... the word "likely". Naughty AI systems. Skoda didn't give much.

Columbus Map Update 2024-2025 (MIB2 HIGH)
Hadn't come across anyone trying to install a mib2 high only download on a mib1 columbus. I'd have thought it would just rejected it. But as you say if its a mib1 high then you got to go back to those older releases that were dual compatible. Mib2 high we remain to see whether we have reached the end of the road. I'm hoping an Audi file will pop up somewhere.

Columbus Map Update 2024-2025 (MIB2 HIGH)
You can your bounce your finger across the SWDL menu and you can get it to do a re-install or go back to previous releases but it does need continues power to the unit whilst doing that. Some retrofitters just keep the door open. Not that I have ever lost power to the unit whilst doing it. BTW this is the newest thread @MartiniB like the posts on the right one although it did look like you had picked up the file from that 410. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/532458-columbus-map-update-2025-2026-mib2-high/

Columbus Map Update 2024-2025 (MIB2 HIGH)
When you said "reset" did you mean a long hold on the on / off switch till it comes up with the logo ? Or some other but that says reset. The first always clears anything stuck. There is a zoom level button which you press untill it has the outline around it which means its on auto zoom. You can override that by twiddling the right hand button. That should make it zoom in and out. If its dumb to changing the zoom level and that long hold on the on/off doesnt make any difference then something indeed has gone wrong in the update. I always update via the developers swdl menu so if I was doing it I'd force the process again, go back to a previous map etc. You need a coding device to unlock the developers menu if you use swdl and keep the door open or shut and closed at 15 min intervals or keep the engine running. That is the right map for your region ?... not sure what happens if you load up the wrong region on a mib2 high. Mib2 standard you get a broad country outline but nothing else.

Yes I was hoping to reach out to you since you had the site last time. Suspect we might be using that file if it's released. Fingers crossed 🤞.

Columbus Map Update 2025-2026 (MIB2 HIGH)
I've answered a post here about the November 2026 mib2 high release with some pointers. No sign of it yet. I know we have found the pre release for Audi before. It's these Audi files that we might be using if the well has dried up. Pre just means its run off by Audi not that its really pre I reckon. The signatures were just assembled differently in the file but same material for the UK. The one I checked in the past. 430 would be the next one. A Russian site and a British subscription map site had the links previously to these compatible Audi files. So yes. I trust we are keeping our eyes open for these on Vag servers and elsewhere.

& it was this Russian website that had the early release of Audi compatible files for mib2 high in the past *russian site link removed, given current geopolitical issues do we really want to send web traffic to known cyber security risk countries? Thanks, Briskoda admin Another one to keep an eye on if the release doesnt appear through official channels. In their tables they show June and December. May be Audi run a month later for December. I must admit I'm getting slightly concerned that VW have pulled the plug on publishing updated map files so we might be scrubbing around in the future. @MartiniB references the legitimate files off the brands file servers. In the future to keep up todate we might have to checkout other places 🫣. There was also in the past a subscription British site that contained links to the early releases.

Well it will be 430 based on previous mib2 high releases. They go up in units of 20 on the seriel release at six month intervals.

Which ones ?. Mib2, 3 or 1... 1 ones were Audi files that took you to 2023. That you would suspect could be released again if Audi perceived a market. They were never free to Audi although you did get 3 years of them. These however could be used on other Vag brands P106 from memory. It is reference on this board, works with Skoda and Seat mib1 units but may need the latest firmware update for that.. 480 or there about. 3 well that is still rolling out 2... as in mib2. Now thats an interesting question. Mib2 Standard (Amundsen) 2026 was released way back in the summer. See @MartiniB threads above. To me it was released early as if to get it out. So I dont reckon you'll see that since you already have it off their file servers. It might not be wrapped with a web page. The mib2 high (Columbus) I'm hoping there will be a release and I suspect @MartiniB and others are busy trying to sniff it out. That would probably be 420. However if production has finished on that 5 year cycle then @pcbbc said that the Audi release is likely to go on longer since the mib2 high unit was still fitted in Audi TTs some two years later from my memory. Previous years early Audi released files for test purposes had found their way out on servers. Whether the November release in this form is available, I'm not sure. Russian web forums had the link to this previously. It did tally with what was finally released but prepared differently but useable. Just signed differently but same cartography files as the VW / Skoda one. Was useable. I guess if the end of the road for mib2 high Skoda, Seat and VW files has been reached then as @pcbbc said the Audi one will go on, just a question of finding it. Like the mib1 there could be an out of period update. Paid SD card which is how the mib1 standard one was released.

Mib3 Map Updates 2024.06
Well I think the mib3 units are well sown up for user tinkering from one region to another. There are files about that go one way to another but if you take a route of a file that isnt documented you might end up stuck. Retrofitters with authorised VAG equipment can do these tasks. The knock off files that have been liberated from Vag systems may leave you with a problem. Basically hackers are locked out of these units now. Obviously people are updating the firmware on a standard route may be successful. Mibsolution.one site folding / becoming unreliable indicates the situation. You might find a Telegram group ?.

No they dont have an update button. Its a wait and see once plugged in. Why people like the USBs with a LED light on them to measure activity on the port. If you get the presentation of the files wrong, unzipping etc then nothing will happen. Mac you use CleanMydrive once copied over. That was a common error with mib2 high updates by some people, it got them with firmware updates as well. Correct file presentation and you shouldn't have an issue but there seems to be some firmware where there are reported issues on the early releases. You press the ignition..... in the PDF instructions. I have posted all the Vag mib3 one for completeness on the SeatCupra site. All the same. If all goes well it should do it in 40-60 minutes with the map year changing. If you turn the car off walk away it uses a roll back process and will restart again from a point and continue. Why some people do a few drives around to work and home and find its done it. You can cheat the process which Ive gone into, in the past just to keep the unit live. Anyhow where the USB with a LED Light is useful.

Well if the USB is correctly formatted and the files unzipped and placed in the correct position on a blank USB... if like mib2 high you'd hit Start. It would examine the contents, do the signature check. A 5 or 10 second delay, then progress to another menu. If its not doing that may be presentation issues or the menu not working.

Mib3 Map Updates 2025.02-06
That might work but the complete reset might have deleted something that hasn't been put back. You are thinking, its still thinking that its on 25.06 may not be. @MartiniB hadn't been able to do any map updates for a bit, I got told that on a DM but from the above it seemed to work. I know some people have updated their firmware. I believe early mib3 firmware didnt allow user map updates. By updating the firmware it fixed it. Its that SWDL menu that I reckon is in mib3 but you are locked out of it. Mib2 high its that menu that allows you to upload any file into the system over writing what is there. Maps, POIs, firmware. Its that which you want which was on the developers menu of mib1 and mib2. Had to be enabled in mib2 and I reckon thats a no go area in mib3 unless ODIS gets you into it via enabling it ?. Obdeleven gave you an option in mib2 but everything is locked down now... least my understanding unless you are Vag licensed.

Mib3 Map Updates 2025.02-06
But as we found once on one or the other you can't change and you haven't been able to update in anycase due to technical reasons. I trust nobody has a way of updating from those 25.06 versions ?. No menu the same as swdl that forces an update. Perhaps they had a shambles in the files used for the update so the original P153 was old data or missing entities and they have corrected it. But if true from the last poster you can't update to P154 then you are stuck on it till a higher release expressed in MM.YY. I'd say that is true unless someone has found a way to force an update in the engineering menu ?. Other than that you need trusty SWDL which I reckon normal mib3 users will be locked out of. So if not on 25.06 and a lower release use the newer file. If already updated using P153. Hard cheese (English expression for tuff) unless there is any advance on forcing an update. Or the text on the first page means its been solved ? >> < edit 2025.09.28 > red ECE failed load in to Mib3 Amundsen of Škoda Superb Mk3.FL 2023 green succesed, thanks to @wolfr4ge < edit OFF > << Hmm its working 💪 for @MartiniB now since they corrected something but not for @wolfr4ge I think... I dunno. The old one if it went in before you cant change it but if it failed and its been corrected then it will load ?. It will all become 🤣. I guess nobody who had 25.06 already installed has been able to re-install it but if you haven't then you may be able to. Possibly the old part number thing they hadn't engineered the update for all units leaving a part number out. Vag was always doing this for the user POI import.

Mib3 Map Updates 2025.02-06
Probably wont since it already has you on 25.6. It will be a simple comparison of whether you are on that release already. The 154 code wont come into it. On a mib2 high swdl menu you can overwrite but I'm pretty sure you can't get swdl in mib3. All locked down. They dont want you messing internally in the unit.

Mib3 Map Updates 2025.02-06
Using the technique that a kind sole gave me on here some months ago that file should give the same date of release as the one posted up, excepted it's incremented by 1... perhaps some fix ? The technique to read these for the technically minded is this: Technical Note - Derivation of the YY.DD as shown on the Infotainment Screen I have now been told how to read that YY.DD date off the files after putting out my request for some time for a bright spark into these Mib3 files. It's been delivered. If you don't want to load up the file you can look up what year the and periods the files relate to. It's important with MIB3 files you don't alter the contents because you can't they are signed and they will refuse to load. So no tampering with the files like mib2 standard maps. Anyhow, this is how you do it thanks to C34 on the Briskoda site... only two posts popped up to tell me. You need to install DB Browser for SQLite. This has an extension in it to read the NDS Associate files, the normal SQL Lite brower that is popular won't. Install the MSI of DB Browser for SQLite in the link above. We now use C34's text... In this example on the file Update OI_P119_EU_202425_Offline_Update.zip contains data from 23.12 (YY.MM)... in this instance 25.06. That was a cut and paste job. Thank C34 again. You can check this for example in the MIB31_EU.ROOT/3D/PRODUCT.NDS file. This is a SQLite database, you can find this information in the updateRegionTable table. Probably only @MartiniB and myself plus a few others would check. It resolves what the file period is.

Amundsen MIB1 maps update ?
Have a look on the link. Did send you a PM. It came up with another Skoda poster. They went quite. So I assume it worked for them. The other way is to buy it on SD from Ebay by googling 8V0060866S that's the official part number and card. Its an Audi release that has uses outside Audi discovered by others.
