Which Bilstein shock?...
What build code does your car have between 0YA and 0YH ? This is needed to help identify the rear springs, along with the 1JE that you have already provided. Is your car a hatchback or estate? Build code K8B means hatchback and build code K8D means estate. Also, 5E3 means hatchback and as 5E3 is shown on your white build code label, you have a hatchback. You will have build code 1X0 and not 1X1 because the VRS is front wheel drive. Build code to show hatchback or estate K8B = Notchback (hatchback) K8D = Station Wagon Variant/Avant (estate) Build code to show front wheel drive or four wheel drive 1X0 = Front wheel drive 1X1 = Four wheel drive It can sometimes be useful to know the date of production, although if you are going for aftermarket parts this often isn't needed. The date of production will be shown on the full build code sheet, ie. factory options sheet.

Which Bilstein shock?...
One of your build codes is G07 so you have front shock absorbers with OEM part number 5Q0413031FP. I suspect 5Q0413031FP is similar to 5Q0413031FN (from the VW Golf MK7 GTI) so you could try searching for Bilstein front shock absorbers using that OEM part number. A similar thing happens with the Superb MK3, where Bilstein haven't listed suitable shock absorbers for that car, yet owners have successfully fitted Bilstein shock absorbers that are listed for the similar Passat B8. 5Q0413031FP Front shock absorber G07 (from Octavia MK3) https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/OCT/753/4/411/411006 5Q0413031FN Front shock absorber (from VW Golf MK7 GTI) https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/vw/RDW/GOLF/746/4/411/411004 If you search for Sachs front shock absorbers using 5Q0413031FP, you will see that these Sachs front shock absorbers are also listed for 5Q0413031FN...which would indicate that they are interchangeable. Ride height after changing front struts
Maybe the Sachs 317 575 front shock absorbers are causing the increase in the front ride height? This of course shouldn't happen, because Sachs 317 575 is generally regarded as a quality brand. However, Sachs 317 575 is sold to replace a huge number of different OEM part numbers, so might not be a close match to 1T0413031HN. Although if it increased the ride height Sachs shouldn't be selling it to replace 1T0413031HN. Did you check it really was Sachs 317 575? With online sales, sellers get a lot of returns and so it's quite common for the wrong item to be put back in the box. Maybe try Bilstein B4 22-183729 front shock absorbers instead of Sachs 317 575? One point in favour of Bilstein B4 22-183729 over Sachs 317 575 is that this Bilstein model is sold to replace a lot less OEM part numbers than this Sachs model so it might be a closer match. But like I say, Sachs shouldn't be selling Sachs 317 575 if it raises the ride height...so it might not be this that is causing the increase in front ride height. What size wheels/tyres will fit to Superb III
Snow chains aren't an alternative to winter tyres, they are in addition. In many European countries it's compulsory to fit winter rated tyres in the winter. If there was a road sign in the Alps saying that snow chains were compulsory along that section of road, saying to a policeman that you were exempt because you had winter tyres on would not cut the mustard. Your Skoda approved tyre and rim sizes will be on the CoC (Certificate of Conformity), not in the owner's manual. The Skoda approved tyre sizes might also be on the inside of the fuel filler flap.
-
What size wheels/tyres will fit to Superb III
Skoda doesn't approve any rims bigger than 17" for the fitment of snow chains to the Superb MK3. Skoda only approves 6.5Jx16 ET41 with 215/60R16 and 6.5Jx17 ET41 with 215/55R17 for the fitment of snow chains. The details are in the owner's manual. Therefore, if a 280PS needed rims bigger than 17" to clear the front brake calipers, no one with that car could go on a skiing holiday to the Alps...as I've heard snow chains are compulsory to get to the slopes. The Superb MK3 can be fitted with 16" rims on all models except the 272HP/280HP 4x4 models, which need at least 17".

MK1 Octavia Laurin Klement wheels value?
The OEM part number of those alloy rims appears to be 1U0601025Q 1Y2 with a specification of 6.5Jx16 ET42 5/100 57.1 as shown in the chart below which show that these alloy rims were sold specifically for the L&K model. 205/55R16 suits the car, and helps to give it a good ride. Changing to 17" will mean that comfort levels suffer as lower profile tyres won't be so good at absorbing the bumps. 205/55R16 is Europe's most popular car tyre size and for good reason. There's also a matching 6.5Jx16 ET42 5/100 57.1 steel rim available, would could be useful as a spare wheel. 12 1U0601025Q Aluminium rim 6.5Jx16 ET42 5/100 57.1 4 L&K 1U0601025Q 1Y2 black/chrome https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/OCT/252/6/601/601050 https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2002-252/6/601-601050/ Alcar 9680 6.5Jx16 ET42 5/100 57.1 steel rim https://www.oponeo.pl/felga-stalowa/alcar-kfz-9680#20122757 205/55R16 is an economical and comfortable tyre size. Mk3 Octavia wheels on a Mk 3 Superb?
The outside diameter of 225/50R17 is only 1.1% smaller than the 215/60R16 tyre. 215/60R16 is the entry level tyre size for the Superb MK3. The 215/60R16 uses a 6.5Jx16 ET41 rim, so if you were selecting your own rim from scratch for the 225/50R17 you might choose 7Jx17 ET44, ie. almost identical to 7Jx17 ET45. 225/50R17 should have noticeably more cornering grip than the narrower and higher profile 215/55R17. I'm a big fan of Vredestein Quatrac 6. However, Vredestein don't make this model in sizes bigger than 16" diameter, except for 225/45R17 and 225/50R17. So by choosing 225/50R17 instead of 215/55R17 you too can experience this excellent and economical all-season tyre. It's one of the few all-season tyres that has longer tread life than the Michelin CrossClimate 2. One review claimed 43,000 miles for the CrossClimate 2 but 46,000 miles for the Quatrac 6. In cold, wet weather, the Quatrac 6 has about 5% more grip than the excellent CrossClimate 2. So if you don't get much snow, but gets lots of cold rain, the Quatrac 6 could be the better choice. Vredestein Quatrac 6 225/50R17 98V XL (Euro label C B 71dB) (3PMSF) (all-season) https://www.camskill.co.uk/m140b0s8019p221178/Vredestein_Tyres_All_Season_Car_Vredestein_Quatrac_6_225_50_R17_98V_XL_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_C_Wet_Grip%3A_B_NoiseClass%3A_B_Noise%3A_71dB The below rim is from the Kodiaq, and with its ET40 offset would give the car a slightly wider stance compared to ET45. 7Jx17 ET40 5/112 57.1 Ratikon (from Kodiaq) https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/alu-kolo-ratikon-17-kodiaq/p/565071497A+8Z8

Ride height after changing front struts
One possible option, is KYB RH3553 which KYB sell to replace 1K0411105AQ. You can see on the autodoc listing that KYB claims that the length is 349mm and the wire diameter is 11.75mm. Carpartsinmotion are listing them on ebay for just over £24 each including shipping. If that doesn't work, perhaps look at the rear springs to see if they have started to sag and need replacing. Ride height after changing front struts
Bilstein 36-241583 is sold to replace both 1K0411105AQ and 1K0411105HJ, so might match 1K0411105HJ rather than 1K0411105AQ. The reason that I suggest that it might match 1K0411105HJ rather than 1K0411105AQ, is because 1K0411105HJ is a heavier duty spring, and usually an aftermarket brand won't sell a softer spring (or shorter spring) than the actual spring that it is being sold to replace. This makes sense, because it could be dangerous to fit springs that are too weak for your car. There are plenty of aftermarket springs that are sold to replace only 1K0411105AQ from brands such as Kilen, Lesjofors, KYB, Sachs, and many others. So there really was no need to compromise with a one size fits all Bilstein 36-241583 spring. It would appear that the 1K0411105AQ should have a wire diameter of 11.75mm. If you measure the wire diameter of Bilstein 36-241583 you might find that it has a thicker wire diameter than this, perhaps 12.25mm. You could also weigh the Bilstein 36-241583. It would appear that the 1K0411105AQ should weigh about 1.65kg, but the Bilstein might weigh about 1.85kg. Which again, would indicate that the Bilstein 36-241583 is not a 1K0411105AQ spring. Downsizing 18" wheels to 17"
You could try 215/65R16 on 6.5Jx16 ET43 5/112 57.1 steel rims. 6.5Jx16 ET43 5/112 57.1 is similar to the standard 6Jx16 ET43 5/112 57.1 Karoq rims but 0.5" wider. This would help with your requirement for good handling. 215/65R16 is commonly used instead of 215/60R16 in some countries that have poor roads, on cars such as the Yeti and Karoq. Body roll is controlled by the springs and anti-roll bars, not the tyres. 215/65R16 won't have quite as much lateral grip through the corners in summer conditions compared to the lower profile 215/50R18. However, Michelin CrossClimate are excellent through the colder winter months, so you will actually have more grip in cold weather than your current Goodyear UHP (Ultra High Performance) summer tyres. In the UK, we aren't limited to Skoda approved tyre and rim sizes. That's for some EU countries (such as France and Germany) where they can only fit tyre and rim combinations that are listed on the car's CoC (Certificate of Conformity). The one downside that he mentioned was that the 235/55R17 wheels felt heavier than the narrower 215/65R16 wheels that he used for winter. For less weight, he could have used 235/60R16 instead of 235/55R17, as 16" rims tend to weigh less than 17" rims. Change of Alloy Wheels on VRS
The rim width and offset of those alloys on ebay is different from the Skoda approved sizes. It's also clear from their appearance, that they are non-standard rims. It's unlikely that your standard wheel bolts could be used because aftermarket alloy rims are usually machined to accept conical wheel bolts. VAG wheel bolts use a ball shaped seat (aka spherical/sphere shaped seat). You would need to inform your insurance company and they might increase your insurance premiums because if an insurance assessor saw them they would stand out like a sore thumb. From an insurance point of view, it's probably best to fit something that looks like it came out of the factory that way. If you were to sell them at some point in the future, it's likely that you would get a much better price and quicker sale with popular VAG alloy rims. With the VAG OEM part numbers, it's also much easier to search online for VAG alloy rims, compared to aftermarket rims.

Change of Alloy Wheels on VRS
The below alloy rim is sold under two different OEM part numbers, 5E0071498G and 5E0601025AK...although it's the same rim. The xxx071xxx format OEM part number is from the Skoda accessory catalogue, and is often less than half the xxx601xxx price. 225/40R18 is normally used on this rim, but you could use a slightly bigger 235/40R18. The bigger tyre will help protect the rim from kerbing damage, as well as providing 4mm extra sidewall height...which is always useful when you hit a big pothole. For road use, the Michelin Primacy 4+ would provide a quieter and more refined ride than the Michelin PS5, and because it's wide and low profile will still provide loads of performance. With a 91W load and speed rating, it's also not over specified...which again helps the comfort and refinement. Michelin Primacy 4+ 235/40R18 91W (Euro label C A 69dB) https://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s322p213489/Michelin_Tyres_Car_Michelin_Primacy_4%2B_235_40_R18_91W_RG_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_C_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_B_Noise%3A_69dB By using VAG alloy rims it should be easy to purchase a single replacement rim in the future, if one gets damaged. Bear in mind that rims with low profile tyres are easily damaged, so it's quite common for single replacement rims to be needed. Also, tyre fitters can easily damage rims, so that's another reason why a single replacement rim might be needed at some point in the future. 7.5Jx18 ET51 5/112 57.1 alloy rim GEMINI 5E0071498G (Octavia MK3) (5909CZK is about £210) https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/alu-kolo-gemini-18-octavia-iii/p/5E0071498G+FL8 7.5Jx18 ET51 5/112 57.1 alloy rim GEMINI 5E0601025AK (Octavia MK3) 4 5E0601025AK Aluminium rim 7.5Jx18 ET51 5/112 57.1 GEMINI 5E0601025AK FL8 Black metallic https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/OCT/805/6/601/601080

Changing from 225/45R17 to 205/55R16 or 195/65R15 tyres, with suitable rims, will improve the ride comfort. 195/65R15 will give the best ride comfort and slightly better fuel consumption, but 205/55R16 will give slightly better cornering than the 15" option. There's an ebay seller that can supply all your build codes for about 3 Euros. Improve handling 1.5 petrol manual Estate
You could try changing the 205/60R16 to wider 225/55R16. That should help the car feel a lot more planted. Your current 16" rims might be 6.5J wide, and it's best to use the slightly wider 7J rims for the 225/55R16 tyre size. If this doesn't make enough difference and your car doesn't have DCC (electronic suspension control), then Bilstein B6 non-DCC shock absorbers (which are a quality mono-tube design) should complete the transformation. Rear Beam Axle failed - need guidance please
There might be a minimum time period that the vehicle needs to be registered in your name to be eligible to apply for a scrapping grant, ie. perhaps 6 months. You would also need to be on certain benefits, to be eligible to claim the grant. A third problem is that there's only so much money and I expect they will run out soon. I haven't read all the rules, so do your own research to check all the details on the TFL website.

Article from Parkers' about diesels in the upcoming London pollution zone (ULEZ)
What's crazy is when TFL puts a ULEZ camera up at a set of traffic lights that causes all the non-compliant cars to take a detour past the local primary school in order to avoid the camera. What the Mayor should be doing, is first putting a ULEZ camera outside the primary school to prevent a rat run, and only then putting one up at the local traffic lights. Children deserve clean air outside their school, not a rat run for dirty diesels.

Changing from 21inch to 19 inch wheels
It's not only a standard Skoda approved tyre and rim option for the Enyaq, but it doesn't increase the car's performance. So not only is it not a significant modification, it's not even a modification at all. If you're worried, check the CoC (Certificate of Conformity) to make sure that the 235/60R18 fitted to an 8Jx18 ET45 rim or 235/55R19 fitted to an 8Jx19 ET45 rim is listed. If it's listed it's not a modification. Also see inside the fuel filler flap, to see what tyre sizes are listed. On the Continent, it's very common to fit smaller diameter rims for winter tyres but from sizes that are listed on the CoC. The Enyaq owner's manual only lists 18" and 19" wheels for use with snow chains. So owners with 20" or 21" wheels won't be able to use snow chains.

Tires 175/70R14 driving characteristics-experiences
See this thread, where I suggest 195/60R15 on standard 6Jx15 ET38 5/100 57.1 rims for the Fabia MK3 and Rapid. However, you might want to try 185/65R14 on your current 5Jx14 ET35 5/100 57.1 rims. I've tried both 185/65 and 195/60, and although the 195/60 has more grip than the 185/65, the 185/65 rides better and still has plenty of grip. Because of the better ride, I prefer 185/65 to 195/60. Compared to 175/70R14, 185/65R14 is not just 10mm wider but has a 5% lower aspect ratio, giving quite a big improvement in performance. I'm not surprised you are a little disappointed with the performance of the rather narrow and high profile 175/70R14. Another option for the standard 5Jx14 ET35 5/100 57.1 rims, is 185/70R14. Part of the problem with your current 175/70R14 tyres is that they might just be past their best, and perhaps not particularly good in the first place. The big advantage of 185/70R14 over the high performance 195/60R15 is the ride quality and to some extent a small improvement in fuel consumption. Wider tyres do increase the drag, hence the increase in fuel consumption. 185/70R14 is even a standard tyre size on the latest Fabia MK4, although most markets seem to be choosing the 185/65R15 tyre size as the entry level for factory ordered Fabia MK4 cars. Kamiq Spare Wheel Set
The following space saver rim with OEM part number 1J0601027M could be used with a 125/70R18 tyre on the Kamiq/Scala, etc. This OEM part number goes back a long way...at least 1997 when it was used with cars such as the VW Golf MK4. Some of the used ones sold on ebay have very old tyres that are over 20 years old. However, if a full size wheel fits in the spare wheel well with the carpet flush, there seems little point using a skinny space saver. 3.5Jx18 ET38 5/100 57.1 steel space saver rim 1J0601027M
