Hi a few weeks back the brake wear light came on, on the last mot it referred to brake discs rusty and pitted so I thought I’d change everything which was done by a mechanic mate. He said the brake wear sensor wire had been cut and jointed so not the fault, I have checked the joint and it’s good done all the other things mentioned on this site like fluid level, it’s the orange circular with part circular rings either side. Any help appreciated

Hi I have a 2007 mk2 Skoda fabia 3 both my windows packed in strangely after changing my battery, checked door over and found at least 7 wires broken these were repaired and the windows worked while I still had the door panel loose, once it was refitted they did not work. Just had the panel off again to check the wires all ok (it’s now raining so had to stop) just wondering if this problem could be related to the repair you are advertising, I will put it back together once the rain stops if they do not work and you think the repair would fix not a problem sending it to you or having an exchange unit. Regards Daniel

Water in spare wheel well
Chickenlickin replied to montecarlo's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Hi no idea of part no’s but the silicon sealant will do the job if you clean everything first and if I remember rightly on mine someone had pierced a hole in the grommet at the bottom of the wheel well, found one on eBay the right size. All still working fine hope it goes well cheers -
Resetting Service Indicator
Chickenlickin replied to MadEddie's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
I know this is an old forum but I’m trying to find the answer to the same problem 2007 Fabia3 mk2 service indicator will not go off tried all the possible remedies listed on the internet but it will not reset. Does this mean I have to pay Skoda to reset ? -
You have to remove the bumper to take the old sensors out and drill the hole out from the rear, no relay required just snap connector too reversing light wire. the new sensors then just push fit into the drilled out holders.
-
Very easy the only problem if you can call it that was the old sensors clip out of the holder glued to the bumper, so once I’d removed the old sensors I used the hole cutter supplied with the new sensors to cut the hole in the front face of the glued holder to the correct size did it from the back kept it central by rapping tape around the cutter until it fitted the back part it kept itself central. Hope that helps. Regards

Water in spare wheel well

I know this is an old post but I have the same problem on my 2007 mk2 Fabia found out yesterday while fitting rear parking sensors, there was 2” of water in the boot, just wondering about the rear vent don’t remember seeing the cover above it ? did you just pour water over the rear when trying to find the leak. -
Hi Keith that’s great as I ordered a set of those yesterday nice to know there ok thanks again.

Hi all I have the problem with my 2007 mk2 Fabia Done 120,000 miles I get 2 tones when put in reverse but no parking noise, I’ve tried all the recommended tests even brought a replacement sensor (not cheap to buy) and tested each one with the bumper off with no joy. My idea now because of the cost of taking it to a Skoda dealer and get them to fix it, is to just buy a off the shelf reversing kit that is just wired into the reversing light and fit it. My question is does anyone know if doing this could course a problem with the car’s electric setup. Regards Danny

Rear parking sensors
Chickenlickin replied to Chickenlickin's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Hi thanks for the reply the only checks I have done is the one you mentioned putting on the ignition and trying each sensor however I get no sound out of any of them, with regards to the Amundsen + the adapter was fitted but I’m not concerned about not getting a display if it does great I just want the sound, prior to fitting the Amundsen I used to get a short tone followed by a longer tone now I just get the short tone when I select reverse. So I’m assuming if I get a VCDS OR VCP they will tell me what I need to replace ? -
Rear parking sensors

Can any one tell me if I get an auto electrician to plug into my car can he tell me what’s wrong with the sensors, or can I electrically test them with a multimeter ? -
Rear parking sensors
Chickenlickin replied to Chickenlickin's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Hi thanks for the reply it’s a shame if the sensors are glued or moulded into the bumper as this will extend the time it takes to fit new ones, I was already under the impression that the rear bumper had to be removed so I guess I will need to get a 2 pack glue for fixing. When I first had the car I purchased a small quantity of paint to do a repair so matching the sensors should not be a problem, my last lot of sensors came with a cutter the correct size for fitting them I think it’s about 19-20mm do you remember how big the hole in the bumper was once you had removed the old ones. Hi my 2007 Fabia mk2 1.4 the parking sensors have not worked since I’ve had it purchased in July I use to get a short tone and then a long one I tried all the checks listed on this site with no luck, then I upgraded my radio to the Amundsen with sat nav and now I don’t get any sound. My thoughts are why play around with it when you can buy a rev kit complete (which just gives a tone when your near something) for the price of one original sensor, fitted one of these to my last car a valve c70 and it worked fine paid £16 off eBay. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Danny

I thought it was referring to the car being in cruise control, my radio is a Amundson +, Is it just saying that’s the type of radio ?

Sorry for being a pain I’ve just checked over my connections again and one of them was not making a connection rectified it and now it’s switching with the ignition, should the map dim when you put the lights on seems to make sense. Thanks for the help appreciate it. Regards Danny
