Bilstein B6 DCC shock absorbers available at last
Your shock needs to be leaking below the cup to be replaced under warranty.

280 Sportline - drive mode chasing highest gear
I ordered mine directly from DTUK. Check their site or there’s a section at the bottom of this forum takes you directly to them. I paid the extra to get the Bluetooth connected version, so I have control with an app. Not sure it’s really needed though, as once you find your happy spot you won’t need to adjust it again. I have mine set in sport with no + or - settings. It means I only have to feather the throttle in normal driving conditions and has removed the lag completely, and in my opinion makes the car so much safer at junctions or moving into traffic etc.

280 Sportline - drive mode chasing highest gear
If you leave the map and dsg as it is and add a pedal box, it’ll transform the drive of the car. The lag in mine without the pedal box is horrendous.

If you ring pro car in carryduff N.I, the grumpy bloke that answers the phone will sort you out with a set. Not sure on how great postage is at the minute though. 028 90 817187

Water in spare wheel well.
Boot seal, rubber grommets especially if towbar fitted. Tail lights around seals would be usual suspects.

312mm to 340mm discs - 2.0 TDI 4x4
I find cars with the auto hold function turned on wear the rear discs and pads at a much faster rate than those with it turned off. There’s plenty of choice with brakes, you don’t need to use the EBC stuff. I do it out of habit as I’ve used them for years without issue. Generally when replacing OEM pads and discs I’ll fit the yellowstuff pads and something like the BSD discs. My last set of pads had 50k on them and the fronts wouldn’t have been half worn, when I sold the car. I’m not hard on brakes though.

Do you use the auto hold function? I always use EBC yellowstuff due to how well they work and how long they last.

Recirculation mode still gets outside odour
The recirculation function should transfer all incoming air through your pollen filter. You can replace the filter to one with a better quality of filtration. Something like the Mann frecious plus range to aid with removing smells. This type of filter will need to be replaced more frequently to keep the cabin air filtered to a higher standard.

Octavia 245 vs Superb 280 Engine Comparison
Some internals are strengthened in the 272/280 unit. Pistons, exhaust valves and seats. Different cylinder head and cams. Fuel delivery system is uprated, including injectors. I’m sure there’s other bits but that’s probably some of the main ones. In the Golfs, the is38 unit doesn’t seem to suffer from the same end float I’ve seen in the is20 unit, and the same goes for timing chain issues.

Dash squeak / superb 2019
Yep. Welcome to Skoda superb ownership. As quick as I can fix dash rattles, new ones appear. That trim should be on with speed clips. Remove it and pad behind it, then replace the trim again. Although Skoda cover it under warranty for 6 months or 6000 miles from new.

Logged boost pressure via ODB Eleven, is this overboosting?
If you still don’t trust it, then just have it removed and get a revo agent to install theirs Instead. Then drive away at it and forget about logging and checking parameters or you’ll have a nervous breakdown.

Bluetooth transmitter
No sign of the transmitter as yet. I’ll let you know when it’s here and set up. Postage not magic for obvious reasons. But I did get my headphones updated to the newest version. I know the Bose and even the Sony have better spec sheets but I just like the comfort and the sound from these.

Post Your Reflection Shots
- Bluetooth transmitter
They have a really nice sound to them. Very natural with most music I listen to. The clarity from artists like Lana del Rey or Florence is intense sometimes. only mistake I made when buying them a few years ago, was taking them in Natural colour. It doesn’t age well!! Thinking of changing them for similar but newer and in black this time. Just not sure yet what to look at as an upgrade. ive ordered the Aventree transmitter, so hopefully be with me in a few days.- Bluetooth transmitter
Wow, what a response. Thank you. I’ll get a read at the links later tonight when I’ve my homework’s done and the dinner sorted. I had looked at some of the Anentree units as they were highly recommended on the AV forum. I’m using my B&O H9’s at the minute with a QED jack to jack, as I just couldn’t make my mind up on transmitters, and I didn’t want to risk disturbing anyone, as I can’t just keep relying on my Kevlar pyjamas to keep me safe when I do turn in for the night.- Superb vs Kodiaq
Yes. Both DCC. I think it’s probably a personal thing. I just found the seating position in relation to the pedals and wheel more comfortable over distance.- Superb vs Kodiaq
I found the Kodiaq slightly more comfortable than the Superb when I drove them both. I think for me it was helped by the overall seating position compared to the Superb, which boosted comfort levels. The ride in the Kodiaq was also more compliant and less crashy. The only reason I choose the superb was the lack of 272 variant in the Kodiaq. The pick for me if I’d been staying diesel would be the VRS Bi-turbo unit. Overall visibility was a lot better in the Kodiaq as well, which I find leaves me more relaxed during a journey. Personal preference though at the end of the day.- Recently Cleaned Thread
My better half came back to the car a few weeks ago to find some idiot had scuffed it and drove on. So I’ve had to sand it back and remove the 9H coating and replace it all over again. Just relieved the car didn’t need paintwork.- New Landrover Defender are you up for one?
Coming home last night and a recovery unit passed us with “Santa’s” sleigh on the back. My 9yr old shouts out from the back “look daddy, Santa’s been sponsored by Landrover” Cant think where he gets it from 😂.- Sunroof maintenance questions
- How To Stop Our car being stollen throught OBD2 port ?
I’m not sure. You would need to check their site and see if anyone in your area fits it. it does work really well. I’ve seen it in use when fitted to more vulnerable vehicles, such as Focus RS, Range Rover’s etc, that are more common to being taken using the RFID technique.- How To Stop Our car being stollen throught OBD2 port ?
I just assumed the OP wanted to secure the car to a higher standard than factory for peace of mind. No harm in that as far as I can see. the ghost secures it very well, even prevents keyless entry issues at night when your asleep.- How To Stop Our car being stollen throught OBD2 port ?
Auto watch ghost.- Dash rattle
Good chance it’s the anti roll bar bushes. - Bluetooth transmitter
