  3. I have no abs. 10 miles? i have driven about 70 miles, and one and a half hour (mostly highway) about a yeqr ago that i got a broken belt. I was thinking to remove PAS fuse at highway to save power. Will it damage something to drive like thay?
  4. Hello I am 250kms away from home and the bolt of the belt tensioner (the pulley) just broke. The battery is fully charged and in good state. I remember, a year ago the belt broke and i drove 100 kms without problem. But now i am 250km I think a diesel car has less electrical consumption than a petrol one.

Hi, thank you for your response, inner, (the one next to the gearbox) regarding the service oil light, my previous engine used to have serious oil consumption, and was frecuent to run low in oil, when the engine oil was too low the low oil light came on and the service oil message too, when i put oil in, the low oil light goes off but the service oil needed to be reset, that happened me three times (with the old engine), run out of oil, low oil and service oil.. this time i suspect with the vibration and shaking due hitting the metalic part, maybe.. i dont know...
  7. HEllo ! well.. the cv joint is fine, it ended up being the inner joint, the homocinetic? the part arrive today so i am waiting to replace it... BUT i want to share something yesterday, while removing the whole axle to inspect it, when installing back, the mechanic had to hammer several time the center to pull it, (i dot agree that hitting any part of the car is the way...) when i turned on the car i receive a service oil message.... could the hits make loose the oil sensor connector and maybe a false contact trigger the alert? i checked the oil level, all good, and no oil leak after axle installation. what sensor or wire or connector should i inspect?

That is a point why mostly buy used in this country, most Fabias are petrol, diesel parts are not easy to get new, they are unexplained expensive. but there is something i need to know, cv isnt the same in petrol than in diesel, in this case? because some local stores here just ask me for the part, they dont ask if the car is diesel or petrol.

Hello guys, my car has been working fine lately (despite the constant speed joint noise when straight after several hours driving and uphill) but i have a friend with a similar Fabia in pristine conditions and i found the hose connection is different than mine, an di suspect mine has the hose connected in the wrong places. can somebody upload a photo of the hoses of the brake vacuum , the hose that goes from a small black cylinder y the driver side(RHD) and that has 3 or 4 outputs , some of those hoses goes to the vacuum pump, other to the brake cylinder other to the airbox filter.
  11. Hi, have you ever heard the sound of our fabia when no ai intake duct is installed? there is two additional sounds, a deep one and a bubble one, whel i hear the bubble one now but only when the car is warm.
  12. Hi, thanks for the answer. Yes, what you mention is a good point, but i used of reference the same vehicle. Whe my car was reading 0.3Lph at iddle, the AC [with the same configuration] only drawn 0.2 extra Lph, but after inyection pump adjustment (to the right parameters, according the computer), the car was little.more efficient at driving speeds but less efficient at idle and the AC drawn 0.3 extra instead 0.2 when the car was idling at 0.3.

The car now is working fine, too little or none black smoke, very efficient consumption at highway( 2.7L per 100km at 80-85km/h), BUT when i am no moving, at idling, i found the consumption little high, about 0.5L per hour when i have seen others with 0.3L per hour. And when i put the AC goes up to 0.8 when the ones that runs at 0.3 goes up only to 0.6 when they turn on the AC
  14. Good morning guys! The black smoke is almost completely gone, the pump IT IS in time, it i what the mechanic says and what it shows the computer. The car start fine and promptly, the engine sounds beautiful But but.. I notice the black smoke come back after the engine is well warm up, after several minutes or couple of hours of use or after 60kilometers... But this is the other weird part, or could be the clue to find the cause, if i turn off the engine and turn it on again in some minutes and continue my trip the smoke is gone. Yesterday i had a 4 hours commute in my city, the temperature outside was 35celcius, lot of atop lights, hills, lot of traffic, the car was black smoking after hour of use, then i did a stop of 10 minutes, and when back the smoke was gone. That happened twice. Then at 3pm i traveled to another state, a two hour highway speed, after 40 minutes i had black smoke if i accelerate hard, then i did a stop to eat something, and when back t the road, the black smoke was gone for another 40 minutes... What was that?
  15. Which bolt, the tensioner? Only up to the mark What other part i should test too?
  16. I have another question. Doing a general revision of the work the mechanic did.. one of the three bolts of the injection pump NEEDED JUST A LITTLE BIT OF TORQUE,Just a little bit. I did it and everything alright... That was last night (yesterday) Today, i do notice the car idling with 0.4L per 100km instead of 0.3...anything to do?
  17. Hello. Just inspecting the car i found that the timing belt is tight between the pump and cam pulley, but it is loose etween the pump and water pump. Please check the video. https://youtu.be/FvvEGtc-4Qw Is this OK?
  18. I think there are two problems. The spring could be an issue, but enough to cause that camber?, it is just some centimeters lower than the other side and the other side has ot ghat camber even when there is loat there
  19. Hi. Since i got this car i noticed a negative camber and a lower height in the left side (driver, side LHD). Shock is not bent, neither the hub, neither the lower ball joint (both ball joint the same)
