  1. I'm not sure it'll fit a car that doesn't have it as standard. Where are you based? I'd be interested in seeing it it'll fit.
  2. Mine was "fixed" in August but I'm still getting it. I'm told there have been further fixes since then that I need to book in
  3. It's the SOS error. Well documented
  4. True but not everyone will use it. It's fixed by a software update that will fix it when it goes in for a service I guess.
  5. I guess the big question is if new cars have this issue? I agree it's not good enough that these haven't been fixed but they're never going to recall all of the cars and fix them, it'll cost too much. Better to deal with the issues as they arise.
  6. It was an airbag control module. It still has the SOS pop despite everything being super up to date. It's a great car but I'm questioning if I want to own it outside of it's warranty.
  7. Apparently it had loads of errors when they plugged it in
  8. Yeah mine have been good. They advised recovery so I'm currently in a seat Alhambra. Not the worst car I've ever driven. Just missing my roof bars to carry my canoe...
  9. So after the ambient lighting upgrade that wasn't an upgrade I contacted Skoda and requested a refund. Purely out of principal. The next morning, possibly out of coincidence I get loads of errors. Pictures attached. So it's being recovered to the garage today. Hopefully a quick fix 🤞 More errors
  10. Yes you only get more colours. No extra moods that's I can see. Lights are no brighter either. I was hoping for more
  11. So there's 40% off ambient lighting upgrade making it £25 in the shop. So I thought why not give it a go. Thought I'd post before and after pictures here so people can make up their own mind. This is the only menu that's changed and this is the before picture.
  12. It's the latest one 1896 I think. Rang Skoda and they've another car in this week with the same problem
  13. So my car was in for software on the 19th and still has the SOS error. Got wireless Android auto though 😂 Really not happy that after being without the car for two days they haven't achieved anything!
  14. Mine had the new hardware part for sos error today. 50 updates applied!! Now showing 1896 and wireless Android auto 😁 Big drive tomorrow so will see how it goes
  15. Mine is generally around 35mpg. I can get to 40mpg if I'm being careful. However why on earth would you buy a petrol vrs if fuel economy was a high priority.
  16. Crazy isn't it. My local garage, indy not Skoda, charge nothing for plugging my car in.
  17. I'm with sneal. Doesn't have the automatic high beam like the wife's golf but they are adaptive matrix lights.
  18. I prefer longer bars as well. The plus side is when I change the car it's a £30 foot pack not a new set of bars
  19. Most previous flush rails have still had fixed positions where as these don't. I'll be checking regularly in future. I just feel like it goes against the point of this style of bar as a fit and forget sort of thing. Bars look good though.
  20. If the Yakima bars are like mine and tighten using red wing nut type things check them regularly. Just done 300 miles with 2 canoes on the roof and the rear bar had slipped! On checking the front they weren't as tight as I'd done them previously. Might have you add a second nut or some thread lock on them.
  21. Thanks. It's coming up saying SOS error on the dash. Drove quite a distance today non stop so the battery should be Ok? Will give them a ring in the morning and see what they say.
  22. Just had the SOS error after 16000 miles and about 16 months of pretty faultless ownership 😟 Going to ring Skoda/ dealer tomorrow but loathed to do a 40 mile trip to get it diagnosed before they order any parts. Any advice appreciated on that one. Android auto seems to be playing up now. Not sure if there's a link there?
  23. Yeah I had notification via infotainment. Bit annoying that they're removing it before replacement is available. Am I right in thinking it's nothing accept aesthetically pleasing
  24. Haven't noticed and scratches on mine. I don't take the bars on and off though.
