My Passat used to have the foot rest both sides. Shame Skoda didn't think to do this.

I'm using a Garmin mini one. Nice any tiny. Doesn't have a parking mode though

It's a shame you have to visit the dealers to get the update. I likely won't get this done until January for that very reason.

Our local vw do a check after 1000 miles. I asked Skoda about this and they don't. Never had it on any other cars either to be fair so I'm not worried about it.

Never had an issue. Apparently my car doesn't do the lock/ unlock via app though.

Including the temperature being synced? Mine stays the same except for the sync option which always resets. It is frustrating

I've had mine since January and done 3000 miles due to lockdown. Minor niggles with infotainment that are easily fixed, the joys of something so modern really. Had to do similar on my Passat which I had previously. Forums are always going to be filled with problems, it's why most people find them after all. Living the Octavia otherwise and I'd certainly buy it again even though I loved my Passat.

That screen needs a clean 🤣 The warning triangle is just warning you of the fault you already know about. Electrical gremlins, hopefully you'll never see it again

The problem with dealer updates is mine is a good half hour away and generally they don't book cars in for updates. They'll just do it when it goes for a service

Use Google. Press speech recognition and call.

Depends what you need but I think everything has crept up with covid. Angled USB c was hard to find

I like it but I turned mine off. Useful but annoying in most situations

I love my Octavia. No real issues to be honest and certainly no more than and other new car.
