I think so. The WiFi is only payable if you want to connect your phone to it in the car.

The infotainment data is limited. If you want an internet connection you have to pay for it. Use the hotspot on your phone. My android auto in the car doesn't mention wireless at all so I don't think it's an option. To be honest I'm not sure why people are so keen to have it. Ok useful for a 10 minute journey but anything longer I want my phone plugged in so it's not dead when I get there.

You'd imagine so but I think it would be easier to just go for a dashcam wire kit. It's kind of on the wrong side for us in the UK anyway...

If it's a decent road I'm not sure I'd expect too much noise at that speed. Not like the engine is working too hard or anything.

Here's an irritation of the software. Pressing the heated steering wheel button brings up the AC menu. Really annoying as you then have to reach over to turn it off. Voice activation seems sensitive too so had to turn off the target word so hopefully that's sorted that.

I've seen this issue somewhere else. Ended up having the light fitting replaced. I realised yesterday I've messed up getting the MK4, purely because the wife has a Mk8 golf so we're both going to have the same issues 😂 Luckily none so far. But seeing familiar comments between this forum and the golf MK8 one.

Bizarre. My car did seem to log my out today and took three times to log back in. Not helpful.

The lock/ unlock via app seems to require approval from Skoda/ the dealer to register you on the skoda connect system. I've asked me dealer to approve me at the weekend

Love the LED headlights on mine but I did get the vRS which has the matrix ones. I think the basic headlights are reflector lenses still. Had electronic handbrake and autohold for years now and wouldn't go back.

We're you able to test drive the car fully? If not you might have a 14 day cooling off period? It is possible to reject a car but I don't think it's easy. With modern cars there are always going to be electrical issues in some. The golf 8 is full of them apparently.
