  1. Out of the two I do prefer the Yakima. Especially as a fit a forget person myself. They do look good and changing the feet is cheaper than Thule. I do quiet like the look of Atero signo bars but they seem to be out of stock everywhere.
  2. Yes they do. I had the Thule wingbars and found those weren't silent either. I now have pads on the whispbars which helps. It is a nice system. I think Atera make a set where the rubber strip is separate to the T track which like pretty cool.
  3. I've got the to Yakima whispbars. Good bars but a pain in the backside to fit, they're a fit and forget bar. Where as the Thule ones are easy to remove. Feet are cheaper to upgrade than the Thule ones though when you do change the car. Must be honest though I don't find any of the quiet bars quiet.
  4. Didn't see the free trial before. Thanks for that, just done it
  5. I didn't renew either. The location tracking settings were nice but not worth paying just for those really. Only really used them to reassure me when when I go on camping trips that the car hasn't moved while I'm away from it 🤣
  6. Just do it 😂 Guaranteeing your car at 12.5k for the year is good. Sounds like they're desperate to get some sales. Will you regret keeping your current car more than not going for the new one?
  7. Just had an email saying I need to renew my online stuff. Don't think I'll bother
  8. Think it has to revert to normal following all the emissions scandal stuff. Annoying but I haven't seen a way around it in here
  9. No idea what it is. In the UK?
  10. I've never had anyone try in all the years of owning cars that don't do that. Just means scrotes that want to steal your car need to create an accident so the doors unlock.
  11. Because it's bloody annoying. Why would you want it on?
  12. Yeah I've noticed this. It stays synced to the passenger side. Using the drivers breaks it again
  13. More colours on individual profile. Can you have the centre a different colour to the doors? Not sure I can see anything worth £44
  14. Mine did it briefly. I think it basically thinks you're abroad. Tapping the accelerator gives it permission to over take... Although it clearly thinks it's undertaking. The concern really being that it will undertake without thinking about it as the car sees it as overtaking. Mines done it a couple of times that in aware of then returned to normally on the next journey.
  15. I think they also dip when you're closer to another car so it's not shining into their car.
  16. Depends how is stored I guess. If you're streaming then it's reliant on data etc. Just a thought when you go into Bluetooth settings what options are selected on the phone? If I remember rightly there's one for phone calls and a separate one for media playback. Might be worth a look
  17. You do, although a few people with most up to date software are saying wireless works. It's not hard plugging the phone in to use it though. Mine works over Bluetooth if I use YouTube music though.
  18. Can't help you but I wouldn't be paying for diagnosis on a car that's new.
  19. Go and test drive it. I'm sure you could change things if you don't like it. I can't remember the last time I drove a car with the sales person anyway. Not sure why them being alone matters.
  20. Yeah mines the vRS so all the toys really. Except leather seats 🙄
  21. Mine has a switch on top of the stalk to adjust distance. To open the doors put your hand inside the handle and pull. Touch the outside to close
  22. If you're in the UK carwow is always worth a look. Got a good discount on mine last December. Glad I got mine when I did
  23. First thing that dealer told me on my first dsg was be careful with the stop start. On a manual it's not an issue but on the dsg he pointed out that when you put your foot down expecting to pull out of a junction it can cause a delay. The Octavia's system seems better than my previous car but honestly I'd turn it off given the chance.
