  1. Hi All, I have a 02/2021 Kodiaq which I must say drives very well and I am totally happy with the car. As of now have done 51,000Kms with it. Recently I have noticed a noise coming from the engine. Not sure what it is but sounds like something to do with the belt... Please have a listen to the attached video, foreground is regular engine noise but listen to the background noise and you will hear a constant squeaking. Appreciate any insights on what it might be before I take it to the dealer service. kodiaq_engine_noise.mp4
  2. This is clear and was the primary reason for asking. I got a call to bring my car in but got an appointment in September. Want to check how to differentiate because if it is a recall then I will push for a much earlier appointment.
  3. Recently Skoda had a recall/service campaign as below. Does anyone know how to identify whether this is a recall or a service campaign?
  4. In my experience until now. Using MIB3, MY21, Columbus, right hand drive car: connect AA wireless to car (using smartlink). AA Maps shown on center console now start navigation to destination in center console AA maps with directions shown in center console In VC you will have two options (on op of voice announcement coming from center console maps): turn by turn announcement (text display) in Skoda map shown in VC turn by turn announcement (text display and visual display) in reduced mode (screen which shows only range and speed)
  5. @Billywizzo I had the same problem. lights setting are correct - left hand traffic selected. But when on ACC car slows down even when I am overtaking from the right (am in Cyprus so we drive on the left side of the road). restarting infotainment did not alter the result. Have a MY21 with MIB3... Did you get any solution?
  6. Thank you @Billywizzo and @DaveMiller Maybe one day Soka can rename them to: 1. Driving on left side 2. Driving on right side 🙂🙂
  7. I live in Cyprus where we drive on the left of the road (similar to UK). Yesterday night while driving the car suddenly popped up a message stating lights adjusted to right hand traffic. The message got me thinking... So today I decided to check this option in vehicle - settings - lights - travel mode. It has two options: 1. Left-hand traffic (this is the selected value in my car now) 2. Right-hand traffic And now I am confused as to which option is the right one if "we" drive on the left hand side. Is the setting relative to oncoming traffic (seems so to me as light direction is governed by oncoming traffic) OR is it relative to the side of the road "you" actually drive on? Tried reading the manual but it does not help with any description.
  8. Had exact same problem couple of days ago. Restart the infotainment (long press on on/off button till screen restarts with skoda logo) and problem is rectified. Hope this works for you too.
  9. Thank you @ZacDaMan72 It's clear for me that forum members provide far better and coherent responses compared to dealers...
  10. Have couple of questions specific to MY21, 5-seater with canton audio. Wonder if someone with these specs can answer. 1. Is it possible to raise and lower the boot floor. In mine it is not. 2. How many baggage hooks do you have in the boot? 2 or 4? Mine has 2, but I believe for 5-seater there should have been 4. By the way wanted to mention how superb the kodiaq is
  11. Happy to know it helped. Enjoy the car
  12. And for this they will charge a premium 😂 Best time to buy from stock in May/June and get a hefty discount on 2021 model because 2022 IMHO does not seem to be something that warrants a wait of several months.
  13. Does a delivery date have nothing to do with allocations? I am relatively sure dealerships and countries would have allocations which then also control the lead times. I am based in Cyprus, ordered my card early November 20, car was at dealership by mid-January 21. That is about 9-10 weeks from order to delivery. Considering the shipping times I think this is super! But I guess some like OP got stuck in their luck.
  14. Yes, it truly is...no wonder they also named the setting "individual"
  15. Right on. Prior to the Kodiaq we had a Passat 1.4TSI bought in 2009. Overall a fantastic car, but I never really liked that the turbo kicks in very often and the revs are pretty high especially when accelerating from standstill or overtaking at highway speeds. This was one of the reasons why I decided to skip the 1.5TSI engine in the Kodiaq and go straight up for a 2.0TDI.
  16. Kodiaq MY2021 / MIB3 / Columbus So after bit of playing around I landed up at the following settings for canton Equalizer. Will continue to tweak but this was what my ears liked... What is your choice of EQ settings? I think if we all post then future car owners (and maybe some of the current) can be helped by giving them a set of starting points.
  17. Yes, that is true. 2.0TSI is off the table at least for now
  18. If the turn by turn directions shown in VC are exactly the same as those shown by google maps, then does it not mean that somehow the google map feed is being taken by the native maps? And if the directions are "true" then why does it matter if the VC shows native or google maps? will check tomorrow and post..
  19. Here is what I got. Before navigation start After navigation start - view changes from consumption overview to map. The turn by turn directions are given in VC too. After navigation start - as seen in minimal view of VC. Only information about next turn.
  20. Well surely any facelift car will not be delivered to customers in Europe earlier than July/August 2021. So if you can wait for a new car until then, then it may be a good idea to cancel and wait. But if I were you I would go with the current car because for me there is no gain in waiting for a facelift with minor changes and that too ones which I dont really fancy.
  21. OK will do that. Though I do not have waze installed so it may be second priority.
  22. Google maps on both as far as I can tell. Infact my VC default is set to showing the consumption overview between the two dials. But as soon as I start navigation in google maps it switches to showing the map in the VC (instead of consumption) and that is a great solution for me. What is for sure is that detailed map with directions OR turn by turn directions is surely coming from google maps as at a time I activated navigation only on google maps (in fact ever since I got this car I have not used the native map even once). Correct. More so in case of Samsung devices it is part of the OS even for Android 10 (IIRC this is the case for Samsung + Android 9 onwards). Specifically AA version on my phone is 6.0.615334 in case this is of relevance to anyone.
  23. Predicted release in H1/2021 (exactly when is not known AFAIK) Earliest the manufacturing will start should be in June 2021 (MY22) - my guess! So I think customer deliveries somewhere in late Q3/early Q4. btw if you check the renders nothing great has changed (front grill, headlight design and rear boot lid design) o may also be a good time to get great deals on stock MY21.
  24. I think OP meant the facelift
