What happens to the warranty if one does this kind of adjustments? Corner lights option is really cool, especially in round-about situations. When I was selecting options for my Octavia, I went for this, but then when I was placing the order with the dealer, the option was not available any more. It was about 150€. Maybe I go and check how much do they charge for activation.

I had 30000km service two months ago when I got some major update. After the update, parking sensors and camera fail in 50% cases when I switch to reverse. So annoying. Before the update there was 5% probability of failure. I am wondering what is the experience of the people with fully equipped car? I have no front parking sensors, no blind spot detector...

People turn to this forum when they have some problem, unless they are car enthusiasts... My car had some minor issues, black screen during few background updates and Internet issues two times. All of that has been resolved on its own. And, I have to say that a number of Octavias is rapidly increasing on the streets of Gothenborg (Sweden)...

I think that I didn't not have DLA when I bought the car. However, a few months ago there was an update and suddenly I got a message that DLA was enabled or installed. I though that I had to buy it in the Shop, but got it for free. I am in Sweden and still have not tested if it works or not...

This morning everything looks fine. The most likely it was some sort of update related issue...

Hi, I have Octavia 1 year so far, and there were 3 ocassions when the screen went crazy. Normally after an update, but there was some flickering background illumination and I was able to use voice controls. After one or two car restarts during the following 24h the problem would just dissappear. A few days ago there was some serious update, followed by one or two minor. And then my screen just died few days later. I cannot use voice control, radio, parking sensors and of course rear camera. The only thing working is ACC and line-assistance. And it has been 2 days dead. Now I have to deal with service... Anyone had similar experience? ps. Will keep u updated

Once I saw a lady in VW SUV that had some unbelievably strong lights when going reverse. You can literally illuminate probably 3x3 basket court. It did not look like some external add-on typical to Scandinavia, but who know. Not sure if it is even legal..

I would dare to say that you dont start driving the car before the system properly starts. Especially do not shift to reverse which shows rear camera on the screen. These are the situations when some of the assistance systems report errors in my case. Also, this may happen if my windshield is partially frozen blocking some of the sensors. Mist also makes sense...

Yesterday I managed to log in a a primary user after probably 4-5 months of sporadic failed attempts, as I reported previously. What happened and why, I have no idea...

If you send an angry email, I am quite sure you might get an extension for free. I need app to start aux heater since the car is parked 350m from the apartment behind 5-6 rows of buildings, thus the remote has no range...

Thanks for the tip. After the hard reset (as suggested), I was getting familiar message Sorry, cannot load your settings. Ok, thought it is not in the infinite loop any more. However, next time I sat in the car, it started with the loop again...

Here the same. When I select primary user profile, it rolls Please wait, if I start driving it stops due to Safety reasons, stop car it contunues and so on... This situation persist since May. I try from time to time, wait max 20min, and then just give up... Would be great to know WTF it is loading that takes eternity...

Related somehow: Since I got internet back ca. 4-5 weeks ago, I cannot log in as primary user. The moment I type in email and password it starts rolling Please wait, and then If I move car, it recalls Safety. This safety thing should be due to some update, at least this is my experience so far. As I do not want to sit in the car with engine on longer than 15min, this is going on and on... Tried 6-7 times so far, and every time is the same. BTW, update should be done in the background, so I am actually confused here... What was the longest time you waited for the update/log in? It is too bad that there is no ETA or progress bar...

Hi, folks, just to report, internet suddenly showed up few moments ago. It was quite a long period (2 weeks maybe), 3rd time since mid February when I got this car. This was actualy by far the longest No Internet period. I was tempted to go face-to-face to the dealer (here in Sweden), but as I need car these days, I was postponing the visit.

5th day with No Internet. Will give it 2 more days to sort out on its own as the last few times... If not, then the fuse approach...

Same problem again with me, plus cannot load primary user... Probably, this is some Skoda server issue, as some other forum members suggested in some ither threads... Let see when it starts working again

At the moment, the app is unstable. Yesterday the last week was synced, but there was no current data. Now is the other way around, have data of yesterday but the rest of the week is gone again. I expect that all will work eventually...

I had the same problem for one week. Today works again, required no action...

Let's hope that the software problems will be fixed soon enough. The irony is that the more you pay for the car, the more problems with the software as you get access to more options.

Here is video of my black screen although it happened 3 times since I got the car (2 months ago). Maybe you can do the same and show it to the dealer. That was my intention... Video has a time stamp, so if there is a log in the car cpu, then it is possible to investigate...In theory... Title_1.mp4

Honestly, this is what I heard, was lazy to check the details, so it might be not true. Skoda sales guys told me that in the case of Kia after every year some of the components are not under warranty any longer. For Skoda it is the full warranty 5 years, for a little extra money. Maybe they tricked me... Do not know for sure. After that I ditched Kia and went for Octavia without going to Kia center...

1) the most spacious car for the money 2) upgrade to full 5 years warranty for extra 800€ (Apparently, KIA gives 7 years, but it wears off rapidly) 3) decent consumption 1.5TSI

As my parking place is 500m away from the appartment, it is not possible to turn on auxiliary heater by the separate controler as WiFi cannot reach the car. So, the only way to defrost windshield in the morning is by switching auxiliary heater via app. And it works. Sometimes I check if I locked the car or not, unless the app starts bugging. Did not try to lock using the app...

This is quite regular in my case, happens every 2-3 weeks. Very annoying, but still beter than the screen glitches I am experiencing from time to time...
