I have not scanned the car for any error code. Should I?

The most bizarre lighting issue
I have my new Octavia 2013 elegance for almost three weeks now. I have a weird boot open warning issue with the car. How this happen: -> If one of the interior lights are on (top front or rear or glowbox) and then someone open the boot door (and boot lights are turned on), after closing the boot door, a repetitive boot open warning is displayed on maxidot and it beeps as hell when you drive. I have read all the forum related topics which says if one of the lights are led, this can happen. However, none of the lights are led. The only LED light was the reverse light which I even change that to normal bulb. I also change all the interior and glowbox bulbs to normal bulbs (even all the same brand) I bought from halfords (https://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs/ring-pro-501-w5w-car-bulb-twin-pack-439846.html). The only way to solve it is to take of the boot bulbs The previous owner seems to be fan of LED bulbs (as he had fitted the reverse with LED and I also found a spare LED bulb for the front lights in the boot). Also, I guess the boots light had been fitted with LED bulbs and then he replaced back to normal bulbs as the boot bulbs were quite loose. The car has auto light. Might he have done coding for the LED lights? Thanks a lot for your time.

Returning Lease Car - missing books & Service question!
But, then a wrong service guide would be passed to the next owner which is not good. Just be honest and pay the charge (if there is any).

Fault code
I have the same model (2013 Elegance hatchback) bought roughly the same time as you. The error could be an intermittent error from that pressure sensor. Scan the errors time to time with ODBII every now and then. Most likely the sensor is faulty and shows up in a specific temperature.

Flashing coil alert on dash
Most likely DPF sensor fault. Best check would be get the DPF app for your mobile and monitor the differential pressure at idl and when you drive. I believe it should be around 5 at idl. If this does show higher number or it is zero, then something is wrong with DPF. Also, checking with ODBII would show the DPF pressure sensor fault. I had a similar fault on a car with similar tdi engine.

2014 VRS Infotainment Swap
Yep, taking the display and unit without the keys is a no go. For coding, it need someone who has done it before. For the camera you can find many information on the topics in the forum. Many people have done it successfully. Don't think it needs any coding unless you want the wheel line direction works.

2014 VRS Infotainment Swap
Seller has only removed CP. At the end of the ad they have mentioned about VCDS coding as well.

2014 VRS Infotainment Swap
I think you need to scan your current unit with VCDS and write them back to the new unit. The seller does not have access to your car specific equipment. These are the wholes you need to insert the keys in the above link (amazon) in them.

2014 VRS Infotainment Swap
But I think what you have bought is a MIB2 unit (5Q0035874) with Amundsen display (5E0919605M).

2014 VRS Infotainment Swap
If you put a photo of the unit and display labels, people can guide you better (no part number mentioned in the ebay advert)

MIB1 infotainment screen is dying
Thanks. Yeah, I saw that. It is the whole unit though and the price for the screen only is higher than my budget. Thanks btw. If I can find the LCD, I can change it myself.

MIB1 infotainment screen is dying
My Octavia Elegance 2013 has and Amundsen MIB1 infotainment whose screen is dying. There are several dead pixels on the screen which I noticed they are increasing (below photo). Is it possible to change only the LCD (not the screen)? or better question is the LCD available to buy (if it is available I can replace it. myself)? The screen itself is available to buy, however the price is very high and it is not really worth it as it is almost the oldest infotainment system for Octavia, and I am planning to change to newer model after a while which I could save a bit more.
