  1. I think my car is on the flexible service (I have to rest the service notification using VCSD). Would it be possible to change it to fix service by VCDS?
  2. Mine is a 2013 model and it does have a battery monitoring control module under the CAN gatewat module: Battery Monitoring Control Module: Subsystem 3 - Part No SW: 5Q0 915 181 C HW: 5Q0 915 181 C Component: J367-BDMHella H03 8042 Serial number: 4869390203 Do I need to code it when changing the battery? What is the maximum Ah capacity on a 2013 model?
  3. tbf it is very difficult to hear it and I could notice it when I left the fan on randomly!
  4. Mine makes the same noise when the fan is on and it is not constantly there, it comes and goes away without any specific pattern! But, tbh I can hear it only when the engine is off and the fan is on! Maybe it is the router noise? Or could be the cooling system pump noise?
  5. My RLFS sensor with part number "5Q0 955 547" is almost died and I am looking for a replacement sensor! I cannot find any with the same part number (without any postfix letter) in the UK. Among the others, there are several options but I am not sure which one is the best! 1) Replace with the same part number but ones with ending letters, like 5Q0 955 547 A, B, C. But, these seem to not support windows closing feature! 2) Replace with 5Q0 955 559 A, B, C. These seem to be RLS only and don't have humidity sensor which is not compatible with 5Q0 955 547. 3) Replace with 8U0 955559 (B, C). AFAIK these originally belong to Audi and people reported they work in Octavia and it seems Skoda has started using them since My16. Any help is so much appreciated! Thanks!
  6. Hi David, Thanks for your answer and very kind for getting back to me anyway!
  7. @DavidYCould you resolve the issue? I have the same problem with my light/rain sensor 😞
  8. @Mikebham I have the same sensor as yours (without any letter) and I am getting the following error. Which sensor part number did you used at the end and was the issue fixed? Thanks! For me auto light works fine (notices sometimes they are on during the day recently), but wiper does not work! 1 Fault Found: 934149 - Rain/Light Recognition Sensor B1366 76 [008] - Wrong mounting position Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 4 Reset counter: 232 Mileage: 102444 km Date: 2021.07.03 Time: 16:53:15
  9. @martin_2021can I ask where did you get it from? Seems like a nice deal! Thanks!
  10. A newbie question, what is the tester look like? Is it a tool or just a chemical thingy? Mine is very unlikely that had been changed from the new as the water pump is on the other side of the engine. So, I want to test the coolant if possible and see if it is really needed to be changed, otherwise I don't want to get it changed and create other potential issues
  11. Thanks @nige8021 Do you think it could b e resolved by replacing the gel pad like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233667293629?hash=item3667a7f1bd:g:0fsAAOSwZJdevnVo
  12. @aposhtol I am getting exactly the same error. AFAIK, the previous owner replaced the windscreen. Could you resolve the issue? Does anyone else know what could be wrong? I have cleared the code many times, but it keeps coming back 😢 1 Fault Found: 934149 - Rain/Light Recognition Sensor B1366 76 [008] - Wrong mounting position Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 4 Reset counter: 232 Mileage: 102444 km Date: 2021.07.03 Time: 16:53:15
  13. I am also thinking about flushing my car's coolant (not having a Silica bag, but it is pretty old)! Do we have any guide which shows how to flush the whole coolant (radiator + engine)? My main issue is how to flush the bit inside the engine as thermostat is closed when engine is cold!
  14. Best way to figure out would be do a full scan first!
  15. @SClaudehave you tested your phone on other bluetooth devices, like a bluetooth speaker, before? First thing would be finding out which one is faulty, the phone or the head unit!
  16. The cost for cambelt and pump depends on where you do it. Skoda dealership charge you around £550 for both but independent garage do it for £350 to £450.
  17. @Carlston Thank you very much for super useful information! Do you reckon Bilstein would be as good as the genuine one? The genuine one is more difficult to find and more pricy
  18. Seems they apply the sealant by finger 👆
  19. @Carlston Thanks for the information! Regarding FN and FM endings, true that they are Seat OEM parts, but do you reckon they probably could be used on Octavia (since the above Sachs replaces these as well)?
  20. Thanks @Wino, any idea what does the data model PR-G01 mean?
  21. @langers2k Thanks for the explanation and help! Can I ask where I can find this online catalogue? It seems to be pretty useful.
  22. That makes sense! Thanks @varaderoguy! Will try to find a pair of the latest revision! Is there any online store for VAG genuine parts (apart from skoda-part)? I also need to get struct head and bearings.
  23. Hi everyone, I am going to change front shock absorber of my 2013 octy with Skoda genuine shock absorber. Part number on the current shock absorbers is 5Q0 413 023 FH. Does anyone know what the ending FH stand for? I can find genuine shock absorber in Ebay with part number 5Q0 413 023 but with different ending letters, like FL, FN, FM. Does it matter to replace FH with those? and second question, does it matter if one side is for example FL and other side is FN/FM (cannot find a pair with exactly the same number)? Thanks for your time and help.
  24. @RobMac1 I have also upgraded to MIB2 and the MQB connector which comes with the camera perfectly matches the unit. Also, I don't have any issue regarding the handle side with the camera on the side.
  25. No need to cut anything. Mine was 90x35 and I got the below one and it fits and works greatly:
