  1. Nice to see a little Fabia with a sunroof! Looks like a very mint car indeed!!
  2. SE No. 841 is for sale on Gumtree right now for £2,700 just near Carnoustie, Angus, Scotland. https://www.gumtree.com/p/skoda/skoda-fabia-vrs-se-/1414072278
  3. Ordered mine on the 28th of August and they were marked as dispatched on the 30th and accepted by China Post on the 6th. Someone is taking the proverbial surely to god!
  4. Nothing been done to the little car yet since; 1. the weather is less than stellar currently, 2. the centre caps are arriving via 'China Post' and may arrive sometime this decade with any luck. In the meantime, have a photograph of it from a yesterday morning. I managed to park a few spaces down from a rather smart looking Mark II Fabia, in '2' trim I'm guessing based off of the alloys but also the lack of foglights. Just as a teaser - I have some interior things planned, but those are a work in progress currently!
  5. Also having this issue as I don't have the wee metal bit that makes the cap pop out so I have to jam something under the cap release and then pry it open.
  6. Recently decided to fix a little thing that had been niggling away at me for months, the stereo didn't fit right and I accidentally left a CD in the factory one. It now looks a bit better since the adaptor bracket now fits without jutting out quite as much. Next is going to be repairing the gouge in the passenger mirror, fitting the alloy centre caps, and begin to repair tired suspension parts. Watch this space...
  7. I'll admit, it's grown on me a little. I'd very much like to have one with the red interior actually! There's a need for one with all the different editions listed, like a big catalogue type thing. I support this!
  8. Would be nice if the door cards were of a matching colour but I like it very much!
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the gear knob was also available as an option for the Ambiente? It's quite an interesting design over all. It's a tad too bright in there for my liking but it's very nice 🙂
  10. Thanks Lofty! I had seen it before actually but I wasn't sure if it was another DIY one but I also got a hold of the options catalogue and sure enough, it's there. Thank you for clearing that up though!
  11. Thank you! I was aiming for a set of the 14" 5 spoke ones from certain Elegance spec (ideally pre-facelift) models but there weren't any local or on eBay at the time, but these do the trick! That's exactly what I did, I grudged paying £20 for tatty ones pinched off a set of alloys off of eBay but Amazon were advertising these ones from China for just shy of a tenner so I bought 'em. Sounds pretty scary if you ask me!
  12. If I had had my glasses on last night when looking at the advertisement, then I'd probably have picked up on that.
  13. I believe you may be correct, there's a photo showing the drivers seat which looks as if it's been taken apart and sewn back together blindly! 🤦‍♂️
  14. My most sincere apologies haha! Agreeing with this, a fool and their money and so forth...
  15. I pity those who may stumble upon this thread
  16. So I was strolling through the AutoTrader web-page, as one does, and I came across this blue 1.2 Fabia Comfort and at first I noticed the Octavia (?) alloy wheels, and then I saw this blue interior including blue seats and door cards! Was this a factory/dealer spec option or what? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202108306790967
  17. Well, the car now has a set of tyres to compliment the lovely alloys which have been lying in my loft for the past 5 or so months. From the front: And the back: I don't have anything else planned for it quite yet as I'm happy with it as it is... for now. There's no centre cap on one of the alloys and the rest are missing their Skoda emblems so I have sent away for a set that'll arrive sometime next month apparently. I managed to procure a set of locking wheel nuts from my local TMS branch so that I don't have to sit beside the car at night!
  18. Well, it's time for an update I think! First of all, I passed my driving test! So now insurance is a little bit more expensive than before! Secondly, the wee red nugget is still going as strong as before! Managed to average 50.4mpg on it somehow. I'm highly doubtful of that figure but here we are. And a little snap of the car itself. Unless you're hard of sight or just genuinely unobservant, you'll notice the plastic wheel trims are gone! This is because I have a set of Sport/Bohemia alloys going on it tomorrow hopefully since they were declared on my new policy! I shall post a photo with the alloys soon.
  19. I end up dropping my seat down accidentally getting in and out quite often. It's a slight inconvenience for me but I just pull it back up
  20. Yep, got it in one! Bought them off of the 'net for just shy of £38. I reckon they smarten it up a bit.
  21. Well, here's all of the fabulous things I have done to the car since the last post: nothing. absolutely nothing. The car is as it was, except with more fuel and in need of a wash. Snapped this pic today when it finally dried up at a wee bit near me! Also, I am aware of the fact that some of the photos are broken, it won't let me edit the posts to include them as the issue has been rectified on my website. Photographs have been fixed.
  22. Love that this has been updated! I've loved looking through this project and watching it all come together since I joined the forums!
  23. Well, it hasn't died quite yet. Had to get my drivers side wheel bearing on the front replaced since it was getting really bad. Car is now running sweet as a nut as before! Next things on the list are: Get air-conditioning serviced. Look at replacing the gas struts on the boot. This will be a home job but isn't a necessity right now. Look after it. And that's about it for now!
  24. I had an issue with power steering and ABS along with it not starting, the issue was the ground connector that @Wino shows in his newest post. We took the connector off from the body and gave it a clean up with a nail file and my little car is running like a charm still!
