New clutch, high bite point
Memory slipping... just like an old clutch...? Best joke I could make here.

Skoda Dealers last in Driver Power 2022
I believe I have recanted my tales of agony involving one Skoda dealer local to me. But yes, I'll leave it at that before I get annoyed again.

Front bumper lower grille replacement
Honestly, it would be wise take the bumper off and see how these grilles are held on, particularly on your facelift model. I'd do the same, but I've just parked up at work and a bumper removal is not something I'm doing in the car park.

MOT FAIL - FACTORY XENON HEADLIGHTS!
There's better independent garages than hellfrauds ever will be. Or maybe even seek to using a council-owned MOT station next time.

Fabia VRS LE Register Part Trois
I don't like it when cars like this become local and my Mum's talking about buying one of these...

@Breezy_Pete seems to be a bit of a window specialist around these parts.- Intermittent Cutting Out and Other Electrical Witchcraft
Yep! In fairness, the computer helped a little with diagnosis, but only through pulling live data from these sensors. It was mostly smell and a light wallet that alerted me to the running rich issue.- Intermittent Cutting Out and Other Electrical Witchcraft
This saga appeared to progress beyond the realms of being able to be fixed by sticky tape and the prayers of a man praying to a non-specific deity. The car was overfuelling... and as a result, skinning me alive in petrol alone. I threw quite a few sensors at it, but it appears both my pre-cat lambda and MAP sensor had both given up the ghost without setting the engine light into a screeching frenzy. So maybe the moral here is to rely on your brain (or whatever is in that bit of yer heid) and not always on the OBD readings. All I know is that it works now and that isn't bad. Electrical witchcraft seems to have sorted itself out mostly, too. Win win.- Se Number 571
Lovely looking car. Must have been a late registration too.- Recent pics of your fabia for no reason, just stick em up!
Haha indeed. As is hoovering the inside of the Duster to get all the dog hair and sand out. Dog hair and sand are the base requirements for any Arnie Shark trade-in these days.- Recent pics of your fabia for no reason, just stick em up!
Seems to affect the newer models too, we've had a few Mk3s in work with it. May replace the screen on mine at some point as its been keyed previously and refracts light at night time making driving hellish.- Standard silencer "peeling".....
The outer skin will shed, but it'll be fine. I believe @sepulchrave can confirm this information.- Remote Locking - Cannot Pair Key

I'll do the dogbone myself, eventually. Going to be under the car as I'm not sure that's all that's knocking. There's definitely a knock when changing gear and there's a continuous one, so will prod everything. The bushes can be a job for the garage in a few weeks time.- DieselMonte's 2012 Monte Carlo Project.
You've reminded me that I've still a Febi dogbone mount in the boot of mine I need to fit... and some PSB polybushes. Will do both eventually.- Photographs of Past Cars...
Agreed. But the ~280hp in the one I drove was pretty decent. It was an earlier one, so started with 250hp. This is all relative anyway, I drive a car with 216hp less than the 9-5 I drove.- Recent pics of your fabia for no reason, just stick em up!
Clean again. Was absolutely minging since it's been doing a heck of a lot of mileage in all weathers.- Photographs of Past Cars...
What that needs... is a stage 1 map. They get scary fast after that.- New clutch
Get a Dacia Duster, Lee. I honestly thought I was going to roll ours the first time I took a corner like I would in the Fabia...- Stolen grey mk2 Octavia estate FN07 WCF Preston area
@john999boy - could you possibly pin this?- Fabia vrs smoke map?

Very nice. The one I drove was a 2004 red estate on 205k miles (stage 1 map too!!)... was told it was quick as fk, but didn't believe it... then gave it welly. New trousers were needed.- Photographs of Past Cars...
You're making me want one now... been looking at various VAG 'classics' (at least old enough to get classic insurance) to tinker with. Just need a garage now! - Strange window switches
