  1. Wow, many many months have passed... holy ****. What have I done in that time? I could say absolutely nothing, but that would be a blatant lie. I can't be bothered to write out a big detailed post, so you'll get it in list form with pictures... New tyres - Falken EcoRun Ziex tyres. Very nice. Hole in the exhaust... Cleaned it. Cupholder. Broke down. P0171, running lean. It's been away since I cleared it. Thanks to @Breezy_Pete for delivering over the phone tech advice when I was having a meltdown in the Tesco car park in Carlisle. Horns, ****ing air horns. (They're not actually musical) 20220905_162002.mp4.712e3c4ee358625090800d5428746d91.mp4 Met up with a mate with a C5. Tow bar. And now we're here. Smashing. Now... any questions?
  2. I mean, you could go mad and strip back the both to nothing, respray the shell, and then fit with some sort of engine. However, that would cost a fortune. Would look amazing though.
  3. JAYSUS... and aw that. The pillar rust isn't too bad, IMO. Mine is a good few years behind that one, but beginning to rust in similar places.
  4. I think it's a Manchester registration originally so I wouldn't be surprised. It's also a pre-facelift vRS by the looks of it.
  5. Reshelling into the cayenne would definitely be interesting to see. I'll have a wee look at the photos whenever you get them up if you need a second opinion, remove the rear arch liners on the new one too. Mine is beginning to rust in there. Also while I remember, I've got the rear crash bar in the back of the hut for you to collect next time you're over, no rush as its no longer in my way.
  6. So what's the plan for it? Do it up? Without a turbo it's basically an SDI at the moment anyway...
  7. I'm on the Fabia Owners Club on Faceache so I'll keep my virtual ear to the ground for you.
  8. @Jaspire - would you mind if I popped over at some point and had a wee nosey at some parts you have? Very interested in that GT bumper... Canny take the car tho or else I'll get battered.
  9. Same as the seats from a decent-spec 9N Polo by any chance?
  10. Little old woman next door to me used to have a 2002 Saxo VTS with a noisy exhaust on it... Still makes me chuckle even now.
  11. I think the obvious sporty versions of the 306 will soar in price. I think the XUDs will become more valuable for their ability to run on almost anything. Which leaves the later HDi models often in Meridian spec or the 1.4/1.6 petrol engines.
  12. It was a joint effort between my Grampa and I since he's got experience with fitting tow bars.
  13. Just as a note for the OP. The vehicle check thing on eBay continuously recognises my 2006 Mk1 Fabia as a Mk2 for whatever reason. To overcome this I enter the info to say its a 2005 model instead.
  14. Jeez a lot of overthinking going on here. These are what I've got, they're very good.
  15. I just went online and bought a set that said they'd fit my model. They did. The boot doesn't try to decapitate me anymore. Job done.
  16. The solution, quite clearly, is to buy a **** ton of stuff from the site and it takes the sting off postage. Say, buying one of the underseat boxes or something. Alternatively, get a friend or relative in an EU country to break up postage costs a bit.
  17. Guy in parts refused to tell me anything nor would he give me a part number (although he did at a separate time). I tend to avoid them as a dealers now, that and a previous issue with them has soured my opinion. Anyway, I reckon most dealers should be happy to help though.
  18. Be grateful the OP isn't near Ingram Skoda then... they're the reason I came to you for the headrest guide tube things.
  19. @DieselMonte do you still have the remnants of your old Fabia seats?
  20. ... full fumigation more like...
  21. Yeah... new trousers were needed when mine did it.
  22. Just to clear this up and remove any/all blame from South Ayrshire roads - I eventually replaced both front bearings last week - and, we have been back driving on Ayrshire roads with no signs of front bearing noises! That's more like it!
