  1. Just gets better doesn’t it... rear ended today.
  2. This is just a rain and light sensor. To do high beam assist you need to have a front facing assistance camera. you may have auto dipped bean but this is different
  3. The white sticker on the face of the radar of the photo you just posted
  4. This is far from a solution, this just reconfigured the steering sensor. battery still needs coding and codes will still be present that need clearing
  5. Not at all no. The mirror is used to set the radar physically in the almost straight ahead position and it doesnt have to be perfect but within a set tolerance by using the calibration board. After this it must be electronically calibrated which does the fine adjustments and gets it perfectly set up. It isnt an either or situation but a both need doing. Only after this will the 'wrong adjustment' code clear. But before you can even start doing any of these steps above you need to have it plugged in to a genuine ODIS and run all the new module procedures else it wont be set up for the car at all and calibrating it will be a complete waste of time. Also, a sticker on the lens is not a good start for these as it could cause interference.
  6. I think it’s beyond redoing now, they’ve cut the diamond cut so low they can’t do it again. someone’s gonna have to pay for a brand new wheel it seems!
  7. Im also awaiting a response to this, sounds like the spring in one of the seats has failed to be honest. But wait and see if anyone else had this issue
  8. So the reason I was ceramic coating was because 1 of my wheels was being refurbed, 1 week away due to a small mark caused by a tyre fitter. This is the state I got the new wheel back in. damaged, bubbly, rough, wrong colour, absolute state.
  9. Well **** look at the state of that! Someone’s bodged that badly
  10. Headlight washers not working is an MOT fail and against the law. do so at your own risk alternatively, switch the headlights off when you use the headlight washer
  11. You simply need to pry in all the spots with clips, they do release, ideally a plastic trim removal tool makes light work of them but wrapping a screwdriver in tape could also work
  12. Auto finesses, use their leather cleaner with a medium stiff brush, once it’s soaked, brushed, wipe clean and see all the brown dirt flow. then use their conditioner or ceramic coating to fully protect the seats.
  13. I had same issue it would keep failing on vcds adaptations. Instead use odis-e for the 5F adaptations and it works perfectly.
  14. They are not 'bulbs' they are led lights built into the handle pieces. Can be replaced but the chances of 3 of them failing is very very low
  15. Okay, you said you found a spare sensor? Where was it from? Did it come off this car? Sounds like it might not of, so you need someone with genuine odis to run the replace module procedure which will - correctly set coding, parameters, remove component protection. after this with the correct vas tool set at the perfect location in the front of the car (perfect to 1mm) you will need to run the test plan in odis to calibrate it. cracked or hacked odis will not do the job as it needs a legit connection to vw’s online server.
  16. Have you tried just running the sun roof and blind back and forth a few times. Go to the test plan tab and it will already be there. changing the car displayed should match your original coding so should be the same, if it doesn’t it’s a coding issue. What software and method did you use for the 5F menu?
  17. Exhaust flaps are gonna be unrelated. what’s the mileage? I’m wondering if the manifold and Intake tracks are coked up with carbon a bit
  18. We are unable to help unless you give us more information? you seem to keep skipping over the questions?
  19. 1x wheel sent away for refurb, all the others getting ceramic coated for winter. We will see if it’s any good or not worth it
  20. 1K0521307A is the rear coupling part number
  21. Wouldn’t say mine looks like an octavia? Looks more like a new bmw if I’m honest
  22. This will just change the mib display and not the actual maxidot/virtual cockpit display. On the instrument cluster there’s not exactly many options for it sadly
  23. This error doesn’t mean much to us, what software are you using to get this fault? if vcds, only people that will know are rosstech as it’s not a vehicle fault code but a software one and what fault codes are stored for the radar? There’s bound to be some
  24. You also need a security access geko account from vw to enable the new unit, there’s no getting round this. you’d also need to find the vehicle specific dataset that matches up with your car, and at least run new wiring for the nav antenna
  25. Cables as in diagnostic - vcds, odis, vcp, or a combo of all 3 depending cables for the car, it’s hard to say but there’s no ‘kit’ for it, and if you don’t have a MIB unit in your glovebox then there’s so much more involved
