  1. You will most likely have MIB3.0 which is a complete different setup and uses Ethernet instead of MOST Post a photo of your centre screen and we can tell you
  2. I very much doubt it, they wouldnt want a skoda to out do the VW, Audi and Cupra premium brands on power now
  3. Pull on the gear selector gaitor in the corner till it pops out. After this, reach inside and underneath the switch pack and push it upwards, it will come out and no need to remove any more trim
  4. Sounds like the door has dropped on the hinges slightly causing it to be a bit tight. Loosen the latch bracket and adjust very slightly
  5. Shouldn’t take much force at all, sounds like it’s jammed if anything. Good luck 😞
  6. press selection and change to a different menu, it shouldnt come up again after that. If you are on radio screen and restart, what comes back?
  7. It can be done yes, you need to have heated front seats already. New squib, control module and steering wheel. Then its a job of running all new wires to where they need to go and coding the body control and hvac modules. I do offer it as a service if you didnt want to do it yourself
  8. did you buy it brand new from dealership, you should run new module with odis only and nothing else as airbag modules are one time code nowadays
  9. Is the vehicle standard or has anything been messed with regarding adaptations and codings?
  10. Not sure why youd need it personally, i have the 220 and if you plant it from stand still it will happily spin the wheels up everytime. That being said look at anywhere that works on golf gti's as they are extremely similar.
  11. Im also interested in this, didnt know this was even a thing
  12. Well that was a fun journey. 2000 miles, 2 planes, 1 car and 4 buses later. I finally picked up my SLA headlight units in a suitcase. why? Because it’s cheaper since brexit to go pick it up myself including travel, hotel, covid test and a good **** up In Brno on my stop off. Than it would be to pay the import taxes
  13. Brilliant post with all the information and can’t really go wrong! only thing I’d add to it is if you are doing the work outside and it’s a bit windy, as the stream of oil starts to thin out, the wind will catch it and it will by all luck flick it all over you, the undertray, the wheels and the floor. Just be warned, I put a cardboard shield up to stop the cross winds 😂😂
  14. The EML (engine management light) can come on for any number of reasons, youll get lots of people say 'it was X so i changed Y' but there is a million combinations of X and Y depending on the fault code, fault itself and your vehicles setup. The only way of knowing is by plugging in to a reliable diagnostic scanner that will give a fault code and description that would assist you or the garage finding the cause. Whether its safe to drive or not is a unknown factor as it could be an emissions fault meaning it will be safe in the short term or it could be a timing/fuel issue causing possible engine damage. There is sadly no way to know without it being plugged in.
  15. There is a lot more to it than plug and play. You need to find parameter files for 4B to match your car and your nee requirements. Much easier said than done. if you don’t have a front facing a5 camera you’ll have no chance as this is required. as well as lots of adaptations and coding is required.
  16. You will lose a small amount of mpg yeah, I’ve noticed it also.
  17. Do not put the negative lead on the positive! if done correctly the indicator will still work no problem
  18. DO NOT run the wires by just tucking them into the A pillar! So many people make this mistake and I’m forever correcting it on cars I work on. The reason being, there is a curtain airbag that runs above your head and down the A pillar, this is made to deploy in a set way, when you run the wires straight over the top of it you are preventing it from doing its job In an accident. The A pillar trim is very easy to remove and you should run the wires behind the airbag then down the original loom and behind the dash this way.
  19. Manoeuvre brake unavailable is to do with low speed automatic safety stopping using the parking sensors. chances are you have a faulty parking sensor causing this, needs to be scanned to find out why.
  20. You’d be crazy not to go for a new style automatic. they combine the efficiency of a manual with the perfect changes of an auto. new boxes are nothing like your old torque converter style that chew a lot of power up, I would 100% recommend a automatic over the manual in octavia’s and superbs
  21. There is a lot of confusion always around coolant. Coolant is a mix of anti freeze and water. The water itself is the heat transferring 'coolant'. The anti freeze is the glycol additive mixed 50/50 with it to prevent it freezing, prevent rust, corrosion and scale build up. When water and anti freeze are mixed you get the correct coolant to put in the car. Now do you mean you want to check the correct amount of coolant is in the car or the correct concentration?
  22. Yeah you ain’t got rear heated seats sorry. It can be retrofitted if you are that interested in it.
  23. Depends on engine size and petrol/diesel. All will be different. Also are we talking pre filter/post filter/boost pipe?
  24. I mean, we get shocks refurbished for work as there is no other option as they were custom made originally. But seen as you can still buy them, id just buy new.
  25. Last letter is not always a revision letter... it is model type (3V0) Type of part (xxx) location/side (xxx) Variant (letter) doesn’t always mean a newer revision, can be a completely different piece also.
