  1. plenty of candy colours to choose from, ideal for brake calipers click here
  2. dont get from ebay, i used the cheap stuff from ebay a few years ago on a 1m LC and within 4 months all bushes were torn or completely come away from housing, i ended up using lemforder parts, that car still feels like new with over 200k, I orderd full front and rear lemforder bush kit and few other bits from auto doc around £200 just waiting on shocks and springs to arrive get from Autodoc as they'll have everything you'll need, it'll cost you around £300 you may need other nuts/bolts but gives you an estimate there's a few good brands on autodoc you can use to bring costs down,
  3. on very light throttle, gears change below 1300 revs, 20 mph 3rd, about 24mph it changes to 4th, at 30 mph its at 4th but if i go 32ish it'll change to 5th and stay at 5th when i'm at 30mph, (annoying at big roundabouts) at 40 its still at 5th but 42ish its at 6th, uphill it usually at 3rd or 4th at 30mph, but if i'm on a gradual decline at 30/40mph in 5th it shifts into 4th then 3rd then i have to change up manually
  4. dont use the cheap stuff from ebay, they won't last very long, the bushes will tear after a few months, you can get from carparts4less, optimal, lemforder, trw, these are good quality, have you considered getting the bushes changed, i priced up for mine few weeks ago and it was alot cheaper than buying the arms, wishbones etc (around £400), the full bush kit (front and rear) from lemforder was i think around £170 inc inner and outer track rods, lower balljoint and drop links and all bolts/nuts.
  5. no mine is standard with box in place, mates gtd has the hornet, straight through from downpipe, he said he paid £150 for it from ebay, it does have a good tone to it, also can hear the dsg farts slightly, hope that helps
  6. my mates blackline has a nice exhaust note, sounds like a petrol, mine also has a deep bass note, both stock exhausts, my other mate mk6 gtd has a hornet exhaust (straight through) and it sounds pretty good, no drone check youtube there's a few vids, "2.0 tdi hornet exhaust"
  7. hmm interesting, my mates vrs is the same, some days it feels on point and some days its kind of slow, mine felt sluggish hence the reason for mani change, dont know what it was its sorted itself out, i ended putting the original back on as it was in very good condition and stuck a new genuine gasket and bracket, its been a while now no issues 🤞 🤞 🤞 you can get genuine refurb from ebay uk from germany £120 while the mani is off give the egr and throttle a good clean
  8. i got my service kit from euro car parts, (bosch) air, fuel, oil and pollen filters and castrol edge oil, my service is due again, this time im ordering from car parts 4 less, its slightly cheaper,
  9. if no lights on dash then it's definitely electrical, check the canbus module might be wet,
  10. yes i fitted one to mine it started leaking (warped) and the motor lasted a few weeks, i paid around 130 for it,
  11. its definitely plastic, you need the plastic mani bracket as its slightly shorter, if you're doing it yourself you're looking at a few hours, need to remove fuel lines, brackets, connections, mani comes off with egr and throttle attached, 1st time it took me around 3 hours, 2nd time less than 2, trying to do it with mini socket set was a ball ache, tried on mates car wasted around an hour, didn't get anywhere so just removed mani another 2 hours i got few quotes myself it was between 700 to 1100, skoda wanted over 1200, this is with mani and motor if you're doing it yourself dont forget new mani gasket around 15 quid for genuine
  12. SELL IT, put another grand or 2 in and buy another car, you can get decent octy with lower milage or another vag car for around 2k in my experience high mile cars seem to have small niggle every month, thats why i have a note 1.5 dci as 2nd car i paid around 2k for it with 70k on clock,
  13. im having same issue with passenger side, it kinda skips over some man holes and motorway lines/cats eyes, i read a thread couple of days ago about bushes in the arm where the coil spring sits, whether this fixes it i dont know, mine also makes a weird thud type of sound rear is adjustable as had mine aligned but still doing it,
  14. mines got over 170k on clock, dsg service was well overdue, it was over 52k before i got dsg serviced, still feels same as before service, i tested launch control couple of times and once a month i take it for a good blast my mates got a gtd with 60k, my dsg feels exactly the same as his, so smooth
  15. if you're taking mani off there's alot of fuel lines, clips and brackets to remove/move to get to the mani bolts, the mani, motor, egr and throttle come off together just remove hose from bottom of throttle and pipe on egr, first time took me around 3.5 hours second time less than 2,
  16. autodoc took around 8 days, ebay or darkside might be quicker
  17. thats what causes the belt to flap around i ordered a SKF pulley from autodoc, the tool from ebay,i bought the belt and tensioner from ecp, but you can get pulley, tensioner and belt as a kit from autodoc, ebay, maybe ecp, they had some vag pulleys but said wouldn't fit mine,
  18. i just bought h7 bulbs today, osram long life, 4 year warranty, these have a good pattern, for standard look bulbs very good, £11 from ecp, as above night breakers are very good, ive got them in my fiesta, or try phillips racingvision GT200, got them in my nissan note, abSOLUTELY fantastic bulbs, feels like im drivING in day light
  19. its the altenator pulley that causes that rumble, cost me around 30 quid for pulley and spline tool
