Showing my ignorance,what is a clay bar and how to Use?

Most of the time we are all complaining about the late delivery times,just wonder how many get there cars on time or even earlier.what I read on other sites.there is no conformity in what model of cars are getting built quicker than other models.i know someone has said the all electric are getting built quicker than other models .yet other sites are saying pot luck.

Not with the winter weather approaching.

So. Why do people think skoda sat nav is so bad they are using google maps,waze etc.yet a few days ago some were saying the skoda own sat nave is great.getting me very confused.

Yes lucky you ,the story I got was the all electric cars were taking longer to build due to the semi conductor shortage.they must just pluck a story out of the sky these dealers.

What date did you order your car?i have had 3 delivery dates so far late September,early October now early November off skoda uk.

With all of the talk is about delivery times to the uk.just wondering what the latest figures released by skoda are .in how many cars have been shipped to the uk month by month this year.are deliveries starting to improve?

Ordered mine 20 may,first delivery date was 34 September,thrn to 4 October and three weeks ago to 5 November.mind you over the last few weeks there has not been much said about delivery dates been late.so just maybe the delivery times are getting shorter.fingers crossed.

Yes I understand what you say,what about the many who are have no problems.?why is some people having problems and others no problems?surly it has to be down hardware/software inferior compotants been fitted?just my opinion.

You say everyone else?are you sure about that?most of us on here are twisting about problems but the vast majority are having no problems at all.

My last delivery date was 5 November off skoda uk .that makes about 22 weeks from order to delivery .i hope.

the chip factory fire stopped production of the chips ,in which caused a major delay in production of these vital components.the other day a post said it was back in production.at less production volume but let all of us hope things are starting to improve in delivery dates.

Yes I hold my hand up to that one,yet when it comes to safety I do get wound up.when the thread first came out people were saying they pulled the fuse out.is that right? Other people were asking to stop them working is that right.i will keep stum on this object now I have said my piece.

Sorry about keep going on about this.are we not talking about ourselves and other drivers on the road?may I ask the moderators to look into this subject please?

Yes I agree with you hid lights led lights and xenon lights comes into this group.if this is law for cars fitted with these lights why would anyone want to disable them?they ar clean

Just maybe skoda has realised that the hardware may have been the main problem with people's cars?if they have changed a few people's hardware and there cars are working ok.what happens next?avalanche comes to mind with people wanting new hardware fitted to there cars.if so just wonder the cost skoda is going to have changing all of the software.mind you it is early days so fingers crossed for everyone.

Good news for you,I think. Someone else has said they changed his hardware and everything works now.

Baffles me why people want to disable the washers. because of getting a bit of screen wash on there cars .yet don't mention why the washers are on there cars for?they are there to wash the muck and grime off the headlight and this stops the lights from distorting and blinding other drivers.please look it up and it will tell you.it is law for cars to have these type of headlights to have these washers for.

Like everyone waiting for there news cars and hoping the delays are going to improve over the coming months.somebody has already said the plant who made a lot of chips was burnt down as started production.

Yes cars with certain types of headlights it is law to have washers.the reason is dirty headlights distorts the headlights.on skoda I think if they are fitted with led and if the light they omit more than 2000 Lumnis they must have washers.so in other words it is safety feature .so they do not blind oncoming cars.so please think carefully before disabling the washers.hids lights and xeonon are thevsame( sorry about the spelling)

My last few cars had headlight washers and to me work very well.

Sorry if I offended anyone it was just my opinion if i rejected a car and went for a different make.i don't think I would be visiting this site much .i accept what you are all saying ie trying to help people.i should of thought that before putting my thoughts on this site.

It is a open topic about software problems with there cars.i understand everyone has a opinion.yet what gets me people who have rejected there cars keep coming back onto this site.to still complain abouut the rejected cars months after WHY.i would of thought with them having other makes of cars they would be on there web sites.not on a skoda web sites.just my. Opinion.

Just buy them on the internet genuine skoda flaps.very easy to fit.just take the screws out that aleardy on the car ,fit them put the screws back on and presto you done it.

I had kerb damage on my last car and I also thought when I ordered a new skoda to go down that line.i think most of us have come in contact with kerbs in the past and dreading getting out of the car to have a look at the damage .as the looks go protectors don't loojk to bad unless you choose the bright colours (my opinion)
