  1. Thanks for the info 👍
  2. Thanks for that. I will investigate further
  3. Just quick one Are all hubs the same on Fabia 2? Meaning are there any differences between one from a VRS And other models and are they interchangeable? I need a hub as mine I bent and there are a few on eBay. Thanks
  4. Yes there are washers there but they are deformed. I will be taking the bumper.off tomorrow to seal round the air vents with silicone also.
  5. I didn't take the rear bumper off I attacked it from the inside removing the interior trim so I could see it easier.
  6. I have just noticed this on my fabia 2 vrs. I have taken out the rear lights and have run some water down the channel above the lights with a watering can. 2 minutes later the water is in the spare wheel well. It seems to be getting in through the black plastic air vent covers 🤷🏿‍♂️. I may have to take the rear bumper off to get a good view.
  7. Ahh ok so you can use the the same method as I did. Take off windscreen wipers (13mm socket) Take off scuttle plastic cover (10mm) Take off wiper mechanism. It comes off in 1 whole unit. (10 mm I think) Unclip the harness pull the unit away from the positioning pin and then wiggle and to to get it out from under the ledge. Behind the mechanism you will see the plastic panel shown in picture of the other post. Look at the wiring harness and cut a very small hole in the nipple. Use a very thin rod , stick, or coat hanger and put some white or yellow tape on it so you will see it easier when you are looking for it in the car. Put some grease or sliding silicone on it to help it side past the rubber and other wires. Attach your wire to end of it. Slide the driver seat right back. Look up under the steering wheel to see the main wire loom coming from the engine bay fire wall. Once you have pulled it through clean off your sliding agent and then use some rubber sealant around where the hole is at the nipple.
  8. I don't think you need to go from the engine bay then just go from the fuse box panel under the steering wheel. There are lots of spare slots on the fuse panel.

  10. What's the wire for? Check my post from last week
  11. Thanks may have to purchase
  12. Thanks very muchly. Is that elsawin manual?
  13. Hi Guys, Can anybody let me know how to remove the media in box that is underneath the glove box please. I think I may want to remove it and put something else in that space as I will not be using it in the future. I can see 2 notches down the side is it a case of sliding radio unlock keys etc down the sides? Thanks
  14. Where are you based? If you want to do this yourself and know how to do the actual work I would go to an installer and ask them. Be honest and tell them that you want to do the the work yourself but ask the for a quote. Then if it's too much just ask them if you can pay them for a little time to show you what you need to do and what bits you need. It will probably end up cheaper timewise and less frustration than trying to work it out.
  15. Yes, Battery, short run to fuse, then into the car then into a fuse block (which will be hidden passenger side of car) to split into 2 cables for 2 small amps under seats.
  16. Ok all done. I actually did not need to drill. I noticed that little nipple on the side of the main loom grommet. I snipped the nipple to leave a little hole. Put a bit of silicone spray in the hole and fed the cable through there. Then sealed around the edges with silicone sealant. Had to remove the wiper mechanism to get in there properly and to run the amp wire tidily across to the battery. Thanks for your help. 👍
  17. Thanks for that. I'll take a look tomorrow.
  18. Yes I agree there probably are holes there somewhere but as I cannot seem to get the glove box out to look behind it. I have done quite a few cars in the past and always use grommets etc but it's a real pain in the bum to have to drill but if I do drill it will be right next to the bonnet cable. Thanks
  19. Hi Guys, I have a 2011 VRS Can anyone tell me how to easily get a 4 guage power wire through the firewall for aftermarket amp install. I have seen there is a grommet on the left in the engine bay that is used for the bonnet release. On the driver's side there appears to be a spare grommet but when I took off the wipers and the plastic covering there was actually not one there going into the cockpit like the other side. I then attempted to look behind the glovebox but could only seem to get the top glovebox out. I am considering drilling a hole next to bonnet release cable but I think it will be tricky to get a drill in there. I'm sure a few people must have run I to the same problem. Does anyone have any advice before I purchase some longer drill bits and get busy. Thanks
  20. Thanks for the reply. If you can find out it would be great. I just bought a vrs and busy stripping it out soundproofing it, added an Android head unit and changing speakers adding amp. Added a back up camera, dash cam etc. I will be doing the bonnet struts once the rest of work is done but not much time as my nipper is off from school and I have to look after her.
  21. Did you do the bonnet struts and was there a write u available at all? Thanks
