  1. Where exactly are the leak points of the thermostat housing and coolant pump? I need to have a look at mine!
  2. Urgh, my 2.0tsi MK3 seems to be consuming some coolant. I'm sure it used to sit at max, I noticed it was down mid way to min, so I topped up the other week, now it's down again.
  3. It's the BMS (battery monitoring system) doing its job, so it's not over charging a new battery that doesn't need it.
  4. When wet they like to do that, I get a good old clunk, particularly after washing the car. It's the rust that sticks them. As you've noticed, once you've used them, it's fine. Stop spending money!
  5. Sticking, staying stuck and rubbing and getting hot. Or just sticking when pulling away once, after your first pull off and then ok?
  6. I didn't code my new battery first of all, as I had no way of doing it. I monitored the charging rate and it was putting in loads of juice, as it thought it was the old battery still. I recoded a day later (ordered OBDeleven) and then the car started to throttle the charging rate.
  7. It does look a nice steering wheel, but I don't want to fall into the trap lol
  8. This is probably why, they are prone to water ingress. Mine was jamming more and more over the last few weeks. Cleaned mine all up and regressed, as the motor was still ok. All working for now.
  9. Which ones are these, i have a noise from there rear now!
  10. I had this a while ago, seal around the pump failed
  11. Was your heating working before the work and then not straight after?
  12. You sure it's def the shocks? The bushes on the lower support arms are known for being noisy.
  13. The garage you had the work done at?!?
  14. You need to use VCDS to open up all the valves to do it properly. I assume they didn't do all that....?
  15. Perhaps it wasn't bled properly?
  16. My build data 34 1Y3 DIF XDS+ So I have the electronic one, as I thought
  17. This is in my build data 0ES EDF Installation differentiation for transmission DQ250 -- vehicle components -- and its mk3 PFL that have them only? mine is not PLF.
  18. I was under the impression mine has the electronic diff
  19. Hi all, 2.0tsi VRS 2017 DSG Changed my front lower control arms a while ago and with poly bushes, after the old ones were creaking like crazy. All has been fine, but now intermittently I get a little clunk when pulling away. I thought it was the brakes, but if I just take my foot off the brake and roll, then apply throttle. That's when it does it. Normal driving along, gear changes etc.... never hear it. and I can go forwards, back, forwards, back many times on the drive and it wont do it. Just ben under the car and checked all the bolts from doing the arms and they are all solid. I cant decide if its the rear doing it, its hard to tell, but kinda feels like the front. That may just be because I'm panicing its the DSG! Any other places to check?
  20. Air trapped in the water system? Who fitted the parts?
  21. Don't know, but you can realign the list easily?
  22. My 2.0tsi will just keep coasting, unless I press the brake. Then I have the put some throttle on and come off the throttle for it to coast again. Only time it auto drops into gear is if I go slow, 15mph ish. I'm not sure what exactly triggers it, but if I coast into my road and turn 90deg into the last bit of road, it goes into gear. I don't know if thats low speed, sharp steering or what does it.
  23. 2017 2.0tsi 32k needed changing in 2021
  24. Gtechniq G4 should sort your black trim. I was amazed by the results!
  25. Changed mine at 40k, my bushes were only making a noise. But one ball joint was knocking. You can change the bushes, but it's probably faster, so cheaper, to change the whole arm. You'd have to get quotes if your paying a garage to do it.
