  1. 1668 doesn't support wireless android auto
  2. Hardware is the same. Hardware part number changes with Software
  3. What is the top adaption channel that's cut off by the screenshot? 👀
  4. Infotainment software information shows on screen is only for the radio control unit behind the dash, above the glovebox & for the touch screen.
  5. That's hard to believe - unless your existing unit is actually defective I was reading through the available TPIs for the Octavia and I didn't see anything mentioning replacing the infotainment unit There is however outstanding updates released this month for absolutely loads of octavias for multiple control modules
  6. I'm about to check a few vehicles to see if there's any updates outstanding on them. I'd be happy to check yours if you send your VIN over
  7. It's one bit in long coding on module 13, just disable it I'd have to check which Byte/bit
  8. If any of you would like to know what software updates are outstanding, I'm happy to take a look if you send your VIN over. Worth knowing there's alot more software on your cars than just infotainment We can also carry the updates out for anybody local to us. However please bare in mind we can't cover the costs under your warranty so there would be a small charge (but we'd do everything that's outstanding). If you can, try your local dealer first - just be prepared for a few visits
  9. It's a common issue and it's usually caused due to a feature called "undertaking prevention" Obviously you aren't undertaking, but as the radar is under the impression it's LHD then it thinks you are. You'll likely notice that if you try to undertake then it'll have no problem allowing you to do so Whilst there's no fix yet, the undertaking prevention feature can be disabled in a matter of minutes. It makes no difference to the driveability other than you'll be able to overtake and undertake without intervention - apposed to just being able to undertake
  10. 2017 Skoda Octavia fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control & adjustable limiter. This vehicle had front assist from the factory We can also add ACC to cars without front assist, however there are additional costs involved. Completely error free & operating asif factory fit 😎
  11. If it has wireless carplay then you'll be able to have wireless android auto with a software update
  12. It takes us around 2.5-3 hours It's a genuine camera, it integrates with the vehicle electronics as if it was factory fit
  13. It's not the hardware. They just don't want to officially offer it for your vehicle for some reason
  14. No hardware change, the newer software changes the hardware number It's now changed from the older 16xx SW train, to 18xx Without this specific update, it was impossible to update from 16xx to 18xx (The below is true for the rest of the brand's, haven't checked with Skoda) Vehicles on 16xx can't have wireless android auto (they can have wireless carplay). They also don't display the HVAC settings when using Full Link It's unlikely it's the infotainment update that failed as they'd either have been able to sort it themselves when it went into emergency download mode or it would be completely dead, it'll have been one of the many other control units within the vehicle.
  15. This can happen with updates, it happened with our Formentor prior to collecting They'll get it sorted, dealers are just limited as to what they can do without support from further up the pyramid
  16. We'll be looking to offer a direct TPMS retrofit for MQB2020 vehicles (Octavia being amongst them) Just working on the capability to create the necessary datasets with the correct vehicle information included This would do away with the quirks you're experiencing with the indirect system Main motivation is my formentor is driving me mad, so it's reasonably high priority 😂
  17. You need a PC/laptop with an SD reader and an internet connection. You need TeamViewer installed (it's free to install) You'll also need an SD card larger than 4GB, ideally class 10 Yes it can be activated on that unit
  18. Thats a nice touch However it's unlikely people would want to pay the additional cost for this as none of the plumbing is in place. Genuine hose isn't cheap 😓
  19. It's a Saloon pictured, there's no rear washer. Estates will have a washer system. 😊
  20. Worth noting with matrix headlights, it's absolutely crucial that you keep the headlight lenses clean Also important that people don't try adjusting the height of the lights themselves as the calibration is far more complex than just height
  21. In that case you're all good to go then 👌 We've never had much luck with the units we've worked on so don't even bother attempting with VCDS
  22. It's not the security login that's not doable with VCDS VCDS doesn't allow you to change the diagnostic session to engineering mode, to allow you to enable the developer menu. Seems this isn't necessary on all units though 👀
  23. You can't enable developer mode with VCDS unfortunately We connect to prepare SD cards and talk you through each step
