Those cars decades ago had halogen lights. Those make a lot of heat. Led’s dont do that. Hense the condensation.

First water then wipers engage in mine. Maybe frozen screen wash?

Hey guys. Noticed that when I park my car and do not lock it, after some time front low beam LED flashes for a very short time. Only noticed this because there is a lot of snow nowdays in my country and the very first thing I do is getting it shoved 😀 so it means I stay by the car after a drive. Of course there is a lot of snow and humidity so maybe it is it? Anyways never noticed this behaviour of lights.

Hey, its the same on mine 2022 vRS. I think it is a root of talks about how rubbish Canton is 😀 it is just the settings gets reset every time! I googled it, but found nothing so far about this bug.

Yeah I was surprised too, that there is no dimming mirror even in my top spec vrs. Cost saving probably, because i had one in the very basic mk3 from work. But to be honest, you don't really need it.

Hi, Yes. I think bluetooth on MK4, atleast Bolero can connect up to 3 or 4 phones at the same time.

Hi all. Canton in this Octavia, at least for my ears, is pretty good (given I listen to Spotify which isn’t perfect). But I had side by side comparison to Canton found in Kodiaq and it is definitely better, more bass. Of course Canton in Kodiaq is more powerful as a whole. But that being said I found something interesting in my Octavia that affects sound quality. When i first got the car and started fiddling with equaliser and set it up to my preference and thought it was done. Later I started noticing that music doesn’t sound right and then discovered that every time I cold start my car (or it sits for a longer time) i have to change back and forth equaliser to activate it, dunno how to say but it gets “flat” every time car is shut down even though it shows your setting or preset. Im on SW 1889 and every time I start my car i firstly change driving mode and then sound preset 😀 frustrating, hope updates will fix it.

I’ve read that in India they will release mk4 Octavia in 2024, so presumably it will be facelift. I’m guessing its when we will se facelift here in Europe. And Skoda in the past released facelifts about 4yrs into model production.

Yeah a lot of wheel spin if launching, but it depends on the surface and tyres. Mine is with factory summer turanzas (Bridgestone). If tyres are warm and surface is warm too i can get pretty decent launches with TCC in sport mode (and launch control). I even managed to beat factory 0-100 and did it in 6.4 (factory 6.7). Not driven in winter tet though.

It was in the list of available purchases in app store. I think after one of the OTA updates it was gone and never to be seen 😀 I was going to buy it actually, but i guess waze will do for now 😀

I had it for a few months in the beginning (got my car in February), but now it is gone.

They said they updated infotainment. But i call that bull, cuz software number was left the same. I suppose they just enabled it system with some sort of vcds or whatever tool they use.

I have 2022 RS, software 1889 and then updated to 1896, and from start havent had any issue’s whatsoever. Only thing that didn’t work from the factory was the wireless android auto/carplay, wich i had to enable at the dealer. Thats it. Great car.

What is your milege? Because first 5k kms its normal that oil is consumed. Myself added about 1ltr of oil after 5k kms,, but no light has come up. There is even in the manual saying to check oil level first kms and add it if necessary.

I had mine wireless disabled from factory too (22 vRS). Got car to the dealer for oil change and asked to enable it. They have admited, that it was disabled from the factory by some sort of a mistake. They have enabled it and it works now.
