Not your imagination. the Karoq has a slower takeoff.

Took the car in for service yesterday and had a chat with the service manager who checked the Skoda specs. It seems the spec that cannot use a tow bar is the SEL model while mine is the SE so I am good to go with a tow bar. However, unfortunately I sold the boat that I wanted to tow. AAAAArrrrrggghhhhhhh 😡 I may look for a tow bar later in the year or early next year

I concur. It is normal clicking when the indicator is turned on and the steering wheel is turned in the same direction as the signal

Just took the car in for a service at Mervyn Stewarts Skida main dealer in Belfast this morning. I had booked a courtesy car which I assumed would be something basic like a spartan Fabia which would do me, no problem. Instead I got a 21 reg Karoq for free. No charge. I was only asked to top up any fuel I used which is about £2.50 for doing a 12 mile round trip to work. Very happy to put in £5 worth of petrol 😁

get a normal USB A to USB C cable and plug it into the USB socket in the centre console. That should do the trick. Mine charges the phone, no problem.

In all fairness it was not a receptionist or a telephone chappie/girlie; I actually spoke to the Service people themselves about it. I assumed (righly or wrongly) that they may know about these things since they are the ones that deal with installations also unless they outsource it. The Octavia that I bought off them in 2006 was outsourced for a tow bar so maybe they too do not know much about it. i have not had a look at the plate but will do so today

Booked the car in for a service in early October. I had a chat with the Skoda people and they were surprised as they had not heard anything about it or so they said. They will look into it when the car is in for a service and see whether a tow bar can be fitted (officially and legally) for that model. Fingers crossed and here's hoping.

Cheers but the list also says my car does not need addblue, however I have an addblue on my fuel inlet and have a notification for adblue after 5000 miles on the display. Its all veery confusing

It is a manual gear change. No idea about ratings. I have never heard of such a thing. For the past 48 years I have had tow bars on other cars without any 'ratings' etc. What is that supposed to be?

This has probably been discussed umpteen times, however, I did not find any answers to my question (although I have not asked it yet 😁 ). I have a 19 reg 1.6 diesel bought lat February from maindealers in Bolton. I now need to install a towbar for occasional light (very light) use. No need for electrics etc as the trailer is very low and lights, number plate etc are easily visible. I have looked at some towbars on eBay and othe rplaces and the cheapest I found was just the curved hook itself for around £150. I know I will need to cut a hole in the rear bumper. Question is: how easy are they to git? The light use is for towing a small row boat and I will attach a reflector bar (red reflectors) at the astern.

Hi, Just joined the forum. Bought a 19 plate 1.6 diesel Karoq. I also got myself a Jansite dashcam with reversing camera. The dashcam is a mirror dashcam which can show front, rear or both together in a split screen. The back camera also functions as a reversing camera. The unit also came with a GPS module and it is voice controlled and is also touch contolled so the views can be changed with sliding the finger up or down or sideways. I read quite a few reviews about various dashcams and Jansite was up there with the best. I have just ordered a hard wire kit for it instead of plugging it into the cigarette lighter. Hi, Picked up a 19 reg Karoq 4 weeks ago. So far I like it; very comfortable but a little stiff gear stick. It's a 1.6 diesel in Black. I had an Octavia estate that I kept for 7.5 years until Itired of it and went on to a few different cars. Finally decided to go back to a Skoda.
