Has anyone here got a face-lifted Karoq with the standard 8” virtual cockpit as opposed to the optional 10.25” virtual cockpit? The reason I ask is when I ordered my Karoq the salesman told me all 23 MY models are supplied as standard with the virtual cockpit however, up until now I somehow missed/didn’t realise that this means an 8” display and not the 10.25” display which is part of the Amundsen+ Pack. The Karoq I test drove had the larger display so I assumed, possibly mistakenly, that the vehicle I was ordering had the same. My question is does the 8” version allow you to display virtual dials (speedometer and/or rev gauge) rather than a digits only MPH as the only photos I can find of the 8” display all show a numerical speedometer as per the example photos attached below? I've rang the dealer but they “don’t know for sure” which doesn’t exactly instil me with confidence. The car will be a Sport Line 1.5 manual if that makes a difference, thanks.

Rang the dealer today to see there had been any movement on my order, apparently the factory have accepted the order and will hopefully start the build on or around the 16th of January with a possible delivery date to the dealer towards the end of February.

Almost a month in and I’ve succumbed to a Freedom membership, you don’t seem like a bad bunch so far…😉😂

It’s looks like now would be a good time to order a new Karoq, spot the typo… This is currently on the Škoda (UK) website.

Completely agree that they look better without the trims. I’m not sure yet what size the centre cap is or even if it’s a universal size across different alloys. Have you noticed any rubbing/damage to the lacquer from having the inserts fitted?

Not sure on the centre caps yet but I’ve already got some (genuine) covers for the wheel nuts, going to wait and see if I can either blag some centre caps from the dealer or wait and see what size they are.

I’m always been quite obsessive with the alloys on any of the cars I’ve had and the alloys on the last car I sold still looked like new after a few years on the road. I’ve been thinking much the same regarding dirt, grit and grime getting trapped behind the inserts and the fact that taking them off to clean may do more harm than good, what daft idea! 😆

Something else that I’ve been wondering about with the aero inserts is the potential for them to mark the alloys, marking and scuffing them from friction fit and general vibration from driving. Has anyone got experience, good or bad with the inserts so far?

So even though the car is a few months away it pays to be prepared right? Any excuse to buy a few goodies in advance 😁

That’s interesting to hear, I wonder if that’s still an option as the dealer said even they can’t request a different alloy to what it leaves the factory with? Good to know that the 19’s aren’t as harsh as expected, I’ve heard this from a few people now 👍

I also have the same model (but manual) and colour incoming sometime early in the new year, can’t wait 😁 I must admit I’m also in two minds about the wheel inserts, I did ask the dealer if I could swap them for 18’s but they reckoned they couldn’t. Will have to wait and see how they look in the flesh I guess. Did they offer regular centre caps & wheel nut caps when you picked it up?

Watching this with interest as I’ve also been looking at wind deflectors for when I finally get my Karoq but have run into the same issues you’ve mentioned above.
