Hello
Not sure you’re going to get much advice without saying why

Karoq Order
Decisions decisions, do you go and collect it or cancel that GP appointment you’ve been waiting six weeks for 😂

Nephew broke light switch - based on a ticktock
I would suggest you let your ‘idiot nephew’ take the bus in future - he’ll have plenty of time to watch fellow idiots on Tik-tok then

Mats !
Sorry I can’t see where the problem is? They’re surely what you’d get from CarMats if you order with the contrast stitching? I ordered a set a month ago, without the contrast stitch, they came with those fittings. I ordered with the heel pad and in my feedback to the company I said the heel pad should be extended right across to accommodate my left heel as I have an auto. I should add that I have no vested interest in this company, ‘other car mat suppliers are available’

Mats !
Perhaps I’ve misread your post but as far as I can see CarMats sell black mats with red trim in all but their Home Comfort, Main Dealer and Standard Rubber range,

Data Protection Information
Anyone? Am getting the same message on my Karoq and it’s annoying

Skoda Connect - worth it?
How do you set the privacy to minimum? I get an annoying message on the screen of my Karoq about this every time I set off but don’t know how to clear it
-
Infotainment screen
That’s it - but how to clear it? It’s no real nuisance as it disappears by pressing ok but I just wonder what it’s to do with?
-
Infotainment screen
When I first start up I’m getting a message about ‘data transfer and personal location’ which I can apparently deal with in the control centre. I’ve looked everywhere but cannot see where. Anyone?

New Fabia auto
I’ve a 2020 Karoq Sportline so not sure if the bits and pieces will be the same, but here goes. I can fold the mirrors using the knob on the drivers door. My ‘blank’ infotainment screen defaults to a clock - I have three faces I can choose from. Not sure about your satnav query.

Karoq Panoramic Sunroof Seal
If the cars under warranty I’d certainly speak to the dealers before slapping sealant about

Huge jump in premium!
My renewals in, up from £335 to £624! We had a Freelander until early April, trading it in for our Karoq Sportline. At the time we paid a minimal amount upon transfer so I assumed the change in the vehicles wouldn’t greatly affect the premium upon renewal. Clearly wrong. So went on line to run the usual searches and not much joy, no significant decreases anywhere. We have a linked buildings/contents policy which I hoped might afford me some bargaining power. Called insurer who without little effort dropped the car premium down from £624 to £484! Home policy dropped from £205 to £189. Still a few weeks to renewal so holding off payment, may call again nearer the time to see if they really are their final figures 🤞 It seems that premiums have gone up across the board yet the insurers can still reduce the renewal at the drop of a hat. Must be recovering the saving I’ve been offered from some gullible punter who simply pays what’s asked 🤔

Not a a Skoda owner.... YET
Can’t comment on that as I believe the ride will even be different across the Karoq range - there’ll be others on here that can give you more of a rundown on that aspect

Not a a Skoda owner.... YET
I was told at a dealership I visited that the Karoq and Ateca were fundamentally identical, although the Karoq had the edge when it came to the interior, driving assistance. It was also said the Skoda badge was preferred over Seat

225/35/19 All season tyres?
I’ve run Michelin CrossClimates on a previous Subaru Forester, Freelander and just fitted them to my Karoq with the 19in rims. Never had a problem with them, apart from the price but then you get what you pay for. Michelin were running a cashback offer so that eased the pain but think that ended last week. Might want to add them to your list to consider, but certainly shop around for whatever you decide upon.

Not a a Skoda owner.... YET
We were forced out of our lovely Freelander by Mayor Khans ULEZ forthcoming expansion plans and I’d spent a long while deciding on a replacement. The Freelander was never really used to its full potential of a thoroughbred off-roader, but more for its driving position as I have a few access issues due to dodgy knees etc. My youngest son, at 6ft6 and with two little ones, recommended us to the Kodiaq which was my preferred option as it fitted the bill as far as access was concerned, although Significant Other suggested we’d never need the seven seats, so this led us to the Karoq. We opted finally for the 1.5 dsg Sportline over the SEL really due to it having the panoramic roof - the seats are more fitted and remind me of those in my old Impreza (oh how I still miss that car and its performance 😥) although not electrically adjustable. Have taken a while getting used to the infotainment system, for example having to play our own music via Amazon rather than downloading cd’s but perhaps that’s just my ‘older years’ 😏. And I don’t think there’s anything else I could need by way of driving assistance. And the forums been very helpful for any general queries I’ve had. Now been owners for three months and enjoying it. Car had to go back in for a software issue but that hasn’t created any problems since. The Sportline has 19in low profiles as standard which look good on the Vega rims, but you’ll find many that comment that they aren’t the most comfortable ride. However having just replaced the Bridgestone OEM tyres with Michelin CrossClimates it’s been like chalk and cheese 😊

Amundsen navigation
We’ve a 2020 Sportline and initially found the destinations just as irritating insofar as I understand the system centres on the midpoint of the postcode. On another members advise I now use the street name as my location, it takes a fraction longer to input but seems to work fine. Ironically I had a ten-year old Freelander before the Karoq and never had any issues with that satnav system

Extended warranty for Karoq
When I bought the car all I received was the owners manual (inside the similar folder to the one you’ve shown) together with a sheet confirming there was a warranty in place. I was promised that full details of the warranty as well as the breakdown cover would follow and I assumed these would take the form of the booklets you kindly ‘linked’ in your earlier post. My contact at the dealers has been the salesman we’ve been dealing with from the outset and he’s referred our enquiries and subsequent chasing on to his admin team. It’s someone in that team that has come up with the ridiculous statement about data protection. I’ve emailed the manager about this issue, and a couple of other matters, and hope he’ll respond

Extended warranty for Karoq
Downloaded both items, thank you. Coincidentally heard back from dealers who have sent a single page in respect of the warranty, basically giving dates, policy number, but no detail as to what is actually covered. As for the breakdown service, I’ve been in regular contact with the sales guy who’s in turn been told by his Admin team they cannot let me have any details due to ‘data protection implications’ 😂😂 Have you ever heard anything so absurd? Do Skoda Assistance work undercover, turn up in unmarked vehicles so no one knows who they are and what they’re about? So without anything from the dealers I can only assume I’m entitled to the breakdown cover detailed in that booklet. Needless to say I’ve lodged a complaint with the manager at the dealership as there’s a couple of other small issues that have cropped up since we bought that could have been dealt with better by the ‘back room’ teams. I may get a reply 🤞 Data protection 😂😂

KESSY unlocking temperamental
Been reading this thread with interest since we’ve owned our Sportline for a couple of months now and it wasn’t until recently I even realised we had KESSY as it wasn’t pointed out by the dealer; I’ve always been in the habit of pressing the key fob buttons to open/lock doors. Looking back I now realise why I’d spent ages a few weeks back checking the car was properly locked and yet every time I pulled the handle it opened. 😂

Extended warranty for Karoq
When we bought, the dealer said there was a 12 month warranty included. He then said they couldn’t offer the p/ex price I was pushing for so instead put their figure through on the paperwork and gave us the second twelve months ‘for free’. So I effectively gained something extra by way of the p/ex.

Extended warranty for Karoq
Thank you, I’ll try and print off details as I’m not sure the dealers are going to get around to this in the next fortnight 🤔
