  1. Why make it an option when they can sell replacements to their customer 🤔
  2. Welcome. And I thought it had been cold here today, +3 centigrade 😂
  3. Nothing to do with safety, it’s the kids or their parents getting lazier, easier to ride than walk. Obesity crisis, what obesity crisis
  4. And enforce the zigzag lines outside schools. These are the parents, not people who’ve gone to the shops, taking a walk in the park.
  5. The settings icon on that same line when pressed opens into a new screen. Does pressing the car icon not open up?

The name of each mode obviously lends itself to what style of driving it’s intended for. I was intrigued more by whether for general running about it’d pay to use normal or ECO? Guess it wouldn’t make a lot of difference

Ever since we’ve had the car the drive mode has been set to normal, which I believe to be the default. And then subject to how I’m driving, ECO will intermittently appear in the dash. If we’re only running out a few miles say to the shops, does it make any odds whether I’m in normal mode or should I adopt ECO mode? Similarly if we’re on a longer run, on a motorway or A road, am I better to change to something other than normal? I assume that the various modes would marginally affect my mpg but wondered if the car automatically adjusts any way as it’s certainly seeming to do so at present. Had a look in the handbook and all it says is what each mode is best suited for 🤔
  8. I bought a 2020 Karoq Sportline last year and that had no spare or spacesaver, just the repair kit. Not sure that’s a hard and fast rule though, might just vary car to car, some have a spacesaver some the repair kit. I managed to source a spacesaver from a member on here and then bought a scissor jack. Enjoy the test drive; don’t be deterred by the ride if it’s fitted with the 19in wheels which aren’t the most comfortable! Lot of discussion on here about those rims - possibly a case of downsizing or swapping the Bridgestones
  9. Hi, we bought a 2020 Sportline last year that came on 19in rims with Bridgestones. Awful, we felt very single pothole and bump in the road. Advice on here generally was to downsize but having weighed up the costs I decided instead to keep the rims and fit Michelin CrossClimates which I’d had previously on a Subaru Impreza, Forester and Freelander. Changed the ride quality and comfort immeasurably, chalk and cheese. And Significant Other is happy 😄
  10. Welcome. You might have seen my posts on here already about the 🤬 wheels and tyres. I’m of a ‘more senior’ age and bought a 2020 Sportline Karoq in May, having been forced out of our lovely Freelander by Mr Khan. We hated the 19in Bridgestones, you could feel every single hole and bump in the road so within a month had changed them for Michelin CrossClimates, absolute revelation, chalk and cheese experience and what’s more Significant Other is happy as well. And it was a lot cheaper than replacing with smaller rims and tyres
  11. We have what looks to be that same wheel on our Sportline Karoq and there is a small insert on the flat edge with the Sportline logo on it. Not sure whether this is the same badge as you’re referring to or if yours sits in the centre of the wheel? Somehow after our car was delivered to our local dealers said insert ‘went missing’, needless to say they replaced it but I was advised it would have been £120 😱
  12. We bought a 2020 Sportline 1.5dsg in May and within the first few weeks the 19in Vega rims and OEM Bridgestones had driven us up the wall, noisy and an all around pita. They picked up every bump and hole in the road, nightmare. Switched to Michelin CrossClimates, absolute revelation, far less noise and the ride improved immeasurably
  13. Had this constantly showing in our 2020 Karoq, noticeably when we hit a bump in the road, cornered a bit sharpish etc. We’d only had the car a few weeks so I called the dealer who assured me it was ok to use as normal, it was simply a software issue. Left the car with them for a day and it’s not cropped up since so assume that what the dealer said was correct and they’ve not simply whipped out a fuse 😂 I did read somewhere, possibly here, that it may be an issue with the fin on the roof not fitting as tight as designed and it could be water ingress? Worth investigating if the software route doesn’t clear it?

Fully appreciate that significant time can be saved by not having to switch on the lights 😏
  15. BTandSid replied to AVTUR's topic in Skoda Karoq
No idea what’s causing the problem but why not turn the lights off when you leave it then switch back on to Auto when you next go out?
  16. Missed the bit about monthly payments. Agree with you entirely
  17. If as you say the T&Cs are clear that the plans non-transferable and non-refundable that really doesn’t say much for VW does? It’s difficult to believe that OP had his Skoda written off, he replaced it with another Skoda and yet VW have said “🤬 you, why should we help, you’re just the customer, we’ve had you’re money, you’re getting nothing for it, but will gladly take it again” I love that they did suggest he could transfer the plan to the scrapyard 😂 That’s beyond insulting
  18. Thanks guys, looks as if the answer to my question then is no 🙁
  19. Nothing to do with the electricity you’re using by leaving the heating on whilst you’re out then 😏
  20. BTandSid replied to Speedy29's topic in Hellos and Goodbyes
Ciao. Don’t be too impressed that’s the extent of my Italian 😏
  21. Can contact details be used as a satnav destination? In other words instead of inputting an address into the location line, I simply type in my sons name for example? Tried it with my phone in the car connected to wi-fi but without success. Obviously the car picks up all my contacts for the purposes of the phone, so just wondered if same would work for satnav. If it’s any odds, it’s a 2020 Sportline Thank you
  22. Been running CrossClimates on my Karoq having previously had them fitted to a SubaruForester and Freelander. No issues although appreciate there’s probably less deep snow in SE London than up north
  23. Heated screen on my 2020 Sportline as well, though nowhere near as fast as that on my 2013 Freelander
  24. Been running on Michelin CrossClimates for years now - Subaru Forester, Freelander and now our Karoq. Very impressed.
  25. Got shot of the 19in Bridgestones within a month of buying ours, horrible ride. Swapped for Michelin CrossClimate 2s
