  2. If you go to the configurator and add all options
  3. 35kg for a towbar? 20kg full size spare wheel? 2kg for a jack? Struggling to find 100kg but not sure what all the options weigh.
  4. Some second hand dealers remove them believing it puts non-towers off
  5. Sounds like a way to get an extra £200 off people ordering from the factory.

  7. Does your slim Motorcycle trailer not have lights fitted? I would imagine if it does they will have to be connected irrespective of whether your towing vehicle lights can be seen?
  8. Mobile towbar fitters are available in Cornwall Google is very handy.
  9. The traffic sign recognition sees the actual road signs in place at the time of passing them. For the Sat nav you are correct, it gets it's information from another source. The data for that source must not be "live", it will be updated as and when the information is downloaded to the system. My understanding from Skoda's website is that map data is updated twice a year so there is plenty of opportunity for it to be incorrect, have you not had the experience of driving on a road that doesn't exist according to the Map yet? It happens in my car, it probably happens in many others. I doubt there is an easy solution. So it is best to use the information seen by the recognition system and yourself as you drive to maintain the correct limit.
  10. In handbook for 2019 Kodiaq. It is using your phone.
  11. You can pair your phone and use your phones data to use waze or googlemaps in compatible vehicles. The subscription for on-line services is why Vag are saying the service has been discontinued. (It hasn't but it will cost VAG to put it right) They want customers to learn to accept paying for satnav. Some manufacturers are even removing satnav as an option so you will pay for data services available in the new cars since the EU made them put a sim card in them.
  12. The signal is broadcast along with Classic fm Thread about how to get it back
  13. I have a feeling we are both correct The licence would be a coding to interpret the data. The TMC messages appear in the satnav system. So it is possible that the licence for the data would be held by the map provider. The code for access would be held by the system, If the car was set up with a system using only one of the providers it would cease to function when the provider stopped. I have also read on forums if they get an old map card (for an sd card system unit) the system starts working again. that suggests that newer cards had the code removed. Also that on downloadable update systems that the feature disappeared after an update of map. These also suggest the map provider paid? The information is still broadcast on TMC on FM
  14. In the UK the system has always required a license
  15. The difference in drag coefficient between a tesla model s and a kia ev9 is 0.072 https://www.evspecs.org/comparison-chart/drag-coefficient
  16. I was going to suggest tuning the radio to it then trying again. But i think it will be pointless New Volkswagen group with latest maps have lost TMC.
  17. I appreciate that and thank you, was not offended it's just that this forum has a few pedants and some reading your post would pick up on the statement unqualified. Trafficmaster was regional there is a new supplier, INRIX ,of the TMC data now and it is available if the system can receive classic fm but requires a one time licence fee paid by the manufacturer of the vehicles to fund it. It appears to have disappeared from VAGs due to licensing? Do VAG cars still have TA options where the radio switches to local radio traffic reports? (seperate to tmc)
  18. You take my words out of context. "Just had a dig around google and the only people who appear to be losing TMC are VAG customers??"

  20. On FM the signal was transmitted with classic FM,
  21. Yes, but i have seen many reports of VW group users saying they have lost it? https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5a7b576a40f0b64646935832/Traffic_and_Travel_Report_1_.pdf My 2014 car still gets TMC updates but it's a Ford and has a DAB radio
