  1. I have not done with a modern Car with an engine less than a 2litre diesel. Did it a couple of times (once on each) with 1980s/90s 1600cc petrols and would never try it again. Thought if you had i could be reassured.
  2. Have you ever towed through Looe in Cornwall or round the bend up hill coming out of Teignmouth in Devon?
  3. Quite possible the info goes off to the marketing dept to produce the blurb and then no-one proof reads the resulting material?
  4. The previous corsa was a 50kw battery too but they claimed 100kw power? Now the 50kw claims 81kw with the 51kw battery producing 115kw but uses less kwh/km than the smaller battery. I have no idea how it works.
  5. Same calculations that Skoda use for the Enyaq with 82kw producing 210kw? but the VRS is 82kw producing 250kw
  6. It's a strange One because in the Blurb they quote the power output of the bigger Corsa and the mileage of the lower powered one https://www.vauxhall.co.uk/cars/new-corsa/yes-edition.html "The new Corsa YES Edition Electric offers a fun driving experience. Its fully electric 136PS powertrain develops 260 Nm of torque, meaning its fast off the line whilst having no gears to shift, and best of all, driving with zero emissions. The next-gen battery allows you to drive up to 221 miles* on a single charge, and when needed can be fast-charged from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes* using a DC charger at your local Tesco with free charging credit provided^, making Corsa YES Edition your perfect partner for all trips; both long or short." Existing car stats for the new corsa range
  7. Thanks. It is possible that the removal and replacement of the battery corrupted something in the Radio system. The design intention according to the instruction book is that if the ignition is turned off, you get the message and the radio shuts down. But you should then be able to turn the radio back on for 1 hr intervals. I read in one of your replies that someone suggested doing a Factory reset? That "may" be the solution but make sure you have any codes that may be needed and remove any media that may be attached. You will also have to retune and pair phone again. https://ownersmanuals.blob.core.windows.net/ownersmanuals/en/Octavia_1Z/11-2012/OwnersManual.pdf
  8. This may be a silly question but what happens if you turn it on again with the ignition off? Does it immediately shut down again?
  9. Isn't the offer on existing stock new cars and not Really new cars that you order? So i would imagine they are already registered. The offer being available to shift them?
  10. According to Motorpoints info "At the top of the range, the Octavia vRS looks to be petrol-only now – previously there were diesel and hybrid options, too. What's more, the vRS' 2.0-litre petrol engine has been boosted by 20hp to 265hp, so it should be quicker off the line. Enthusiasts may mourn the loss of the manual gearbox, though. Later on, you'll also be able to buy an Octavia with a 204hp 2.0-litre petrol engine, which'll get an auto gearbox and four-wheel drive. It'll be the only Octavia you can buy with four-wheel drive." https://www.motorpoint.co.uk/car-news/skoda-octavia-facelift
  11. The new one is not configurable or available to order yet https://www.carwow.co.uk/skoda/octavia/news/7399/new-skoda-octavia-facelift-2024
  12. In the UK brochure the only 4x4 vrs is a diesel dsg? And the ** means only available from stock? So not yet?
  13. There was a special offer when the new model was announced, which one has he got?
  14. Maybe an idea to ring and check, but the current brochure says yes
