  1. Can the world really manage without fossil fuels for evs without going nuclear?
  2. Thanks Appears to work for previous models but not current ones for me
  3. https://digital-manual.skoda-auto.com/w/en_GB/show/9fe38e4a0dd0e65f1bd113c44aabc9ae_9_en_GB?query=usb-connections Mirror usb Charging only Centre console Data and charging Rear console Charging only USB-C ports are oval in shape and USB-C cables can fit in either way; there isn't a “right side up” like there is with USB 2.0 and 3.0 cables. USB-A ports are rectangular and USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 cables have a “right side up” – cables only fit in one way.
  4. I have read it depends upon what the sealant is made of? https://www.carlist.my/news/do-you-need-to-replace-your-tyres-after-using-sealant-as-a-quick-fix-84354/84354/
  5. I believe to Tow 1500kg it would need to be the top of the range 4x4 (1600kg) which is over £40,000? Others limited to 1,000kg for single motor and 1,400kg for twin motors
  6. Not sure what point you are making? "they are not what i class as New because they are already built and here. "
  7. Just been talking about the all electric Sangyong Korando on the ev thread Tows up to 1500kg? (reckon it will be only around 100 mile at a time though)
  8. In the video he said Range between £30-40k He then specifically mentioned availability at £31k for the elx if he went to Rotherham on the day he looked. Those i posted are today for the ultimate. No idea why they have £9k off but they are not what i class as New because they are already built and here. Just looked at the new Korando can only be configured as Ultimate spec Which suggests New models must be in the offing so they may be disposing of old stock?
  9. Probably also have to buy a new tyre after using sealant in it too. Very expensive consequence of having no spare wheel.
  10. How do you download them i have only managed to view them online there?
  11. When you need to use the sealant i would think the tyre will be flat? Because you have to take the valve out to put the sealant in?
  12. What i find strange about the instructions is that i cannot find anywhere that suggests you look for what has punctured the tyre and remove it?
  13. Owners manual https://digital-manual.skoda-auto.com/w/en_GB/show/f8ff35eb317f00339bc6d4a171c00e50_8_en_GB?ct=f8ff35eb317f00339bc6d4a171c00e50_8_en_GB I would imagine that you can use the Compressor to adjust your tyre pressures without the sealant if you don't have a puncture
  14. Petition Establish a Commission to investigate extortionate Car Insurance price rises Car insurance prices have become increasingly more expensive since the Coronavirus pandemic, surpassing pre-pandemic average costs to insure cars despite a general reduction of road related deaths. Regulations at this time allow for consumer price gouging and cause hardship for many with no benefit. More details A comission should be organised to investigate the regulatory practices of car insurance pricing and to ensure of fair competition. A commission should look at alternative models. For example, in four provinces of Canada car insurance is a government-owned and operated system, a similar system in the UK could not only provide a potential additional revenue stream for the government but also limit the financial hardship caused by purchasing 3rd party insurance from private companies which maintain primary responsibility to earnings of their shareholders. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/644067
  15. Insurance will go up if you have an accident regardless of fault. Assuming the bonus to be 60%? NCB protection does not stop the premium going up either. It only protects the percentage discount off the cost of the policy. I.E If last years payment due was £452 after 60% ncb the policy was £1,130 The Aviva policy works out to £1,420 with the 60% making it £568 Privilege have history of almost doubling premiums after incidents https://www.theguardian.com/money/2023/jul/06/no-insurance-claim-against-me-so-why-am-i-a-marked-driver
  16. The dry clutch Volkswagen gearbox appears to be sealed for life.
  17. Works well right up to the moment they don't
  18. Beware of dealers who include the first year in the list price of a used car , the supplement applies from year 2 to 6
