ULEZ and other similar schemes we are being told are all about clean air for everybody but are they really just a means of making money from motorists?
The speed limiter on my minibus is a stalk. Goes up and down in 5mph intervals. ( Mercedes)

Assigning different phones to each user.
Whilst reading that owner manual i couldn't find any settings in the car that are assigned to the Key. Should there be a Mykey feature?
-
Assigning different phones to each user.
I don't understand how the phone connects if it's bluetooth is off. The car should have a list of telephones in it's memory, the one rememberedd as device one is always the main telephone.
-
Assigning different phones to each user.
That is my thinking. Device one could be the phone the car looks for first, carrying on if not present to device 2. Another option to cure it could be your wife turning blue tooth off when you are together in the car.

So yours is the first in the list?

the truth about electric cars
To encourage people to get a smart meter there will be all sorts of offers to make people believe they can have "cheaper" times. Once everyone is sucked in, using AI the provider will be able to work out when you are not in and offer the Cheaper tariffs at those times and hammer you when they know the times you cannot avoid.

the truth about electric cars
In 2022, 40% of electricity came from renewables. So 40% supplying 65% of the domestic market? Does that mean no business or industry can claim to be using renewable energy? Households have consistently ranked as the largest electricity final users in the country. In 2022, households in the UK consumed 96 terawatt-hours of electricity, or roughly 35 percent of the total consumption.11 Oct 2023 So there is a bit left at the moment then

Have spent a bit of time reading the brochure It appears that the SE does not have Lane assist So why the button is there i have no idea other than the suggestion that the same steering wheel is fitted whatever model is produced.

But if they sign more people up for "green tariffs" than the amount of green energy generated that would be fraud?

Music on SD card playing in random order
I think the answer may be On your computer you can name folders and right click and change details on screen , your computer then shows them on screen. The car may read the details in the "properties" of the files so if they are different that is probably the difference you are seeing on the car screen.

Steering Wheel Buttons
"But you have this already?" I cannot find the part in the book where it says lane assist does not work unless you have ACC They are separate systems sold within a package if not fitted as standard. Are you saying that your car does not give a nudge of the steering wheel if you try to change lanes without indicating?

Insulating ultra high voltage cables to put underground for great lengths would be cost prohibitive. The cables between pylons are bare for heat dissipation?

I may be wrong (i have been before) But I don't think the fibre being put down in your road/pavement is for your current provider to use. It is a competitor We had city fibre dig up all our streets and then leaflet drop us to switchover We now have another firm erecting dinosaur telegraph poles and running a cable in the air and doing the same. My understanding is the your copper cable will not be changed to your house unless you pay for it and BT and suppliers who use their network will carry on supplying your broadband as they do now, fibre to the street and copper to the house. The telephone will be disabled unless it runs through the router with an adaptor. Your existing landline phone will still work after the switchover, the only difference will be that your phone connects to your broadband router via an adapter. While the change in infrastructure is a huge undertaking, most end users won't have to do much. In fact, the official guidance from Ofcom is that your phone provider should supply you with an adapter. The four main phone providers- BT, Virgin, Sky, and TalkTalk- have all said they will do so, and you can find links to their statements on the switchover process at the end of this article. These four companies provide 85% of the UK's landline service. If you are in the remaining 15%, we recommend contacting your provider to find out if they will be supplying customers with adapters too. - the truth about electric cars
