New generation steering wheel swap
I was curious and assembled all this on Arduino. This adapter works with the CAN bus, intercepting commands from the GW and sending the necessary message based on them without canceling the original message. There’s a nuance for VC owners: the View function can only be assigned to the TravelAssist button. If you assign it to the lower right or left arrow, it will work in 1 out of 20 cases, as these buttons in the VC open the central menu. As a result, the VC cannot simultaneously change the view and open the central menu. It’s possible to assign the View function to other buttons, but it would be wired. For example, assigning it to the voice assistant button would trigger the voice assistant and change the VC view simultaneously, and so on. To summarize, if possible, it’s better to choose a module based on LIN. LIN modules work inline with the bus and simply replace messages. But Arduino modules much cheaper.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Ok. I know that there is an issue with the steering rack clunking on MQB, which can be resolved by lubrication and tightening of the steering rack

Retrofit heated steering wheel
Ok, here’s the result of my research: I ended up installing the 5Q1. 5Q0953569B — This variant is ambiguous. If the module is from VW, it does not include components for the third ACC stalk. The same applies to 5Q0953569A (this also concerns both A and B). It might be possible to solder the necessary components, but to be sure, it's better to get it assembled with the stalk. 5Q0953569C — Starting from 01/12/2019, the 5Q0953569B modules were replaced with 5Q0953569C, which were installed exclusively on Skoda. Apparently, this confusion became a problem for everyone, so they created a dedicated module for Skoda with support for the third ACC stalk. Transition to the new 5Q1 module — These began to be installed on facelift models and are no longer standalone "16 modules" but rather a "submodule" of the BCM. In the catalog, the stalk and the steering column module are listed together under a single part number. After spending some time on the diagrams, the following differences were identified: The 5Q1 module no longer receives the CAN Comfort connection. An additional LIN bus is added to the BCM module at T73c/54. Airbag contacts are now combined into the same connector as the others. The transmission lock switch is now routed to BCM T73a/24. This variant is possible only with newer BCMs. Visually, the necessary pins appear starting with version 5Q0937084CQ (installed from 01/06/2017). Whether it supports all functionality 100% — I cannot confirm. Will add more details later

MIB update from 2.0 to 2.5 compatible with Virtual Cockpit?
No, Travel Assist requires 2q0 camera which began to be installed from ~2020. Unless you retrofitted it before.

This is Travel Assist button, that you don’t have. Some modules have feature to reassign this button.

Check the second link, I guess this is exactly what you bought.

You need conversion module. You can make it from Arduino or buy (e.g. https://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/radio-adapter-can-bus-decoder-22/canbus-adapter-reduction-for-steering-wheel-2/)

Yes, try to change flow directions and probably you will hear noise. I read few topics and for plastic gears it’s better to use silicone. So I used silicone spray.

Put grease on white mechanism. You can reach it through left or center hole, in case you have a speaker you can remove it(left speaker mounted by 2 screws, center speaker by 4 screws). Once you reach white mechanism, hold tube and spray silicon into the tube, then change flow direction and spray again. Do it few times. I uploaded video how it works- What have you done to your Superb III today?
The climate control mechanism started making noise. I removed the top cover of the speaker, made a tool from a cheap endoscope and a Cilict Bang tube, lubricated the white mechanisms with silicone grease. Now the noise is gone.- New FL Skoda Superb 2020 tail lights - retrofit?
Swapped Here I described how https://www.drive2.ru/l/681792318050668410/ Even I developed app to sync most of the adaptations- New FL Skoda Superb 2020 tail lights - retrofit?

Finally, I've finished today. Now I can add all details Wires schema. All wires 0.5mm except mentioned, for RH rear fog light will be on right inner side T4e/1 - T6bh/1(double check it). Preset, all adaptations for FL BCM, but you can use it for preFL BCM. preset And video- Superb 2.0 tdi frequent regens.
