  1. Jeeez imagine the turn around times at airports if they have to recharge after each flight. Now electric oil tankers with solar assistance, that makes a bit more sense
  2. I work for PXC (formerly TalkTalk Business) and our offices used to be opposite Awesome, was always fun seeing what they were getting in on their Dyno
  3. Yeah I get that its had the infrastructure for a long time but the way you originally wrote "Then i spotted that among the lowest number of EV,s per chargers they have Dundee. I need to get a proper read of that because someone seems to have missed the figure might be because Dundee City has so many chargers." which almost sounded as though you thought someone had fscked up I mean a place that has (and this is only an example and not any sort of reality) that has 100 Chargers and 500 EVs will have less EVs per charger than a place with 500 EVs and 50 Chargers even though both places have 500 EVs
  4. why would that be wrong? Sounds like Dundee City may have got the infrastructure in place before people have really started getting EVs, which is a good thing isn't it?
  5. That’s a more general growing risk factor than EV specific
  6. yup and the nice thing is its a new bodyshell so no classic cars were harmed (although given the price on a Real gullwing.................)
  7. I think it was meant to be OTT rather than a daily driver lol
  8. Tesla Power Gullwing beauty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwtYN4wJWjU
  9. ah these were the days lol
  10. That one was literally just around the corner from where I live. Whilst there’s no doubt it’s a sad event and the family are lucky to be with us until the actual cause is identified then it’s only supposition the incident was caused by the high voltage battery in this HEV. Many fires in all sorts of different vehicles are caused by faulty 12v electrics.
  11. it's quite impressive in a way
  12. speaking of FOS oooof
  13. a (theoretically) driveable bare bones 2CV
  14. I've owned multiple 2CVs in the past (including a Van) and they are simply awesome. Ok they can have issues with the honeycomb floor structure rotting out but the chassis is a relatively easily swapped out item and many of them now have had upgraded chassis fitted. Also worth putting in electronic ignition. Doddle to work on, the bonnet slides off with no tools (so do the doors) and only 4 bolts hold each of the front wings on then you have the whole engine sitting in front of you. Excellent vehicles in the snow and also have a starting handle
  15. currently (no pun intended)
  16. Coming to a charging station near you https://www.electrive.com/2024/07/09/electrify-america-to-charge-batteries-to-85-only/
  17. I'm waiting for the U2 ;o)
  18. Love the name, YangWang
  19. Love it, an EV with "petrol" mode
  20. Lets quickly address the elephant in the room. That is not a Capri and never will be. Not surprised though as Ford has already sullied the Mustang name.
  21. Also @Ootohere That's not the parking brake (which is what was being talked about) self applying itself though is it? Thats a system which is designed to operate brakes autonomously potentially operating outside its design parameters.
  22. however unlike ICE where performance is less affected by age & usage (although I do accept it may be influenced by service history etc) the only way of restoring performance is an outright battery swap. ICE vehicles you can swap out components such as turbos etc. Also refuelling rate isn't affected by age & useage ;o)
  23. Something I was taught many years ago: the only thing you know for certain when an indicator is flashing is that the bulb is working.
  24. I do apologies , it was @Warrior193 Not enough caffeine in the system ;o)
  25. here's a radical idea to help reduce CO2: limit the number of vehicles a household can own. Ok I know that each person can only drive one vehicle at a time (so maybe limit the number of vehicles per person instead) but if less vehicles are built then less CO2 etc is produced at source. (of course this will unlikely ever happen)
