Tyres for Octavia vRs Mk 2
bandit1 replied to tony crouch's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
After 6 weeks & 3700 miles the front Dunlop's are showing noticeable signs of wear, mostly motorway driving aswell. At this rate 9,000 miles may be optomistic for mine :'( -
My dealer says there is not one available from Skoda for the FL on the Octy II. I did not think the tailgate was different, anyone more informed ? Thanks

The Bolero I removed from the same car controlled the IPod in the same way as the Columbus -

Yes I am happy with it. My MDI was factory fit, Columbus & Bluetooth kit was an easy retrofit by me (under a couple of hours), just need 10 mins with VCDS to code the maxidot -

This is from the Columbus, the Bolero is virtually the same layout (except for Touchscreen) HTH Graham -

Looks good, nice moody lighting, Pity about the shoes................. -
Different spec to yours, but yes, they beat DTD, it was probably a "perfect storm", pre-price list, Vat reduced, pre-christmas & I knew the salesman. But yes, beat DTD.

I was in the same situation as you, been a Blackberry user for 4+years, totally at home with them & their quirks. I just changed to an IPhone 3GS 32GB & all is not plain sailing. The phone just does not receive signals anywhere near as successfully as a BB, with both devices switched on the BB will be at full strength, whereas the Iphone can be at 2 bars & struggling. Vodafone are aware of this (check out the VF forums) & are trying to resolve it. To sum up, the BB is a pretty capable phone with a few extras, Email etc. The IPhone is a good gadget with a (poor) phone built in. The Apps are great, but what about that battery life................. With a full charge, you will get a day & you are lucky, I am constantly looking for somewhere to plug it in

I bought from Rainworth just before Christmas, they were slightly better than the DTD quote.

Xenons are a MUST in my opinion, along with maxidot, parking senors, heated leather, only thing I am not sure about on mine is the rain sensor & auto lights. Really not that impressed with it.

These are only usually held on with silicone sealer, you know where there is one , alternatively, any of the local aerial installers will sell you one.

Usual Ford Ferrous Beetle issues of Rot around suspension top mounts, battery tray, bulkhead/inner wing joint, inner sills. Engines can be a bit tappety, look for blue smoke, could be valve oil seals when cold, oil control rings when warm, neither cost a massive amount to fix (usually engine out for oil control rings). feel for driveline shunt & juddering on transmission take up from propshaft/rear axle. For something like this, if it looks right, then go with your gut instinct. HTH G

Thats the big advantage of shooting in RAW, all is not lost if you forget to change the WB settings.
