Yup me too..........

Mine seems to be a strange one, I activated RSAP on my Blackberry to get it connected. I upgraded to an IPhone, the IPhone does not have RSAP, but it recognises the kit in the same way, I have no contacts stored on the SIM, just the ones that are synced via my exchange server. It seems that there are exceptions to the rule, but there are no hard & fast rules as to what will work & what will not.

Skoda Bluetooth Phone Compatibility
bandit1 replied to golfturbo's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
Well today I am a happy man. I fitted a version C Factory Bluetooth unit (man. Sept 09) to my FL vRS, coded it with VCDS & the Blackberry 8900 Curve worked flawlessly, I upgraded my phone to an I Phone 3GS on Vodafone yesterday & was fully expecting the "computer says no" type of response from the head unit. But no, it connected first time to my Columbus (also man. Sept 09 FW 1164), downloaded my contacts from the phone, call lists etc etc. It all works perfectly, perhaps the new firmware from Apple is RSap compatible after all? Interestingly enough, the Bluetooth unit on my car is transmitting a "Volkswagen" name, not a Skoda UHV as others do, the Bluetooth was going to be a deal breaker for the I Phone, but I guess its had a reprieve. Big, MEGA, New Year Meet - N/E Derbyshire/South Yorkshire area
bandit1 replied to antnee's topic in West Midlands
It IS the Cinema/MacDonalds. Its in the Cinema car park (around the back). Going to try to make it if I am back from overseas, it would be a shame to miss it - its less than a mile from me ! -

After walking out of the house this morning & nearly falling flat on my back I am not going anywhere. I stood watching the neighbours who tried to go down the small incline from our house all go sideways, backwards or just hitting the kerb, I knew I had made the right choice. The rain fell during the night & froze soon after, I guess the wax on the car made the water bead & then gave the effect when it froze.

bandit1 replied to sam_underhill's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Just gone out & got P*** wet through doing it. The inner edges vary between 930mm (at the rear) & 960mm (at the front) This is on a FL vRS Estate. HTH Graham -
One way to check is to look up the codes on the decal in the service book, see Here HTH Graham

Bolero and Phone Compatibility
bandit1 replied to nigeldavies's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I had an issue a couple of times when the Bolero could not see my BlackBerry (8900 Curve), I went into Phone settings on the Bolero & reset it to factory settings a couple of times, it then worked fine. It may be that you need to disconnect the BT unit (should be located under the drivers seat & re-connect it.) HTH Graham -

bandit1 replied to Baker21's topic in Styling and Car Care
That's my car ! Simon & Jules did a fantastic job & also educated me in the art of detailing at the same time. Cannot recommend him highly enough...... Cheers Graham -
So where is this ? Matlock ? Darley Dale ? Based on the snow we have in Chesterfield, I would have thought you would have had more if it is. G

Hi Pete,
I absolutely love it, its smooth quiet, but terrible in Ice & Snow !, problem is, I came from a Diesel Touran, that was on winter tyres, so the combination of lighter weight, peaky engine & summer tyres make for interesting driving on small back roads.
I am super happy with it though.
I do like the silver , Baker21 is posting the detailing pics up when he ha...
