  1. I'm very firmly in the other camp as almost everything I buy is with a credit card. That doesn't mean I use it to buy things I can't afford though as it gets paid off every month - so no interest incurred. I even get more interest on what I pay than most savings accounts offer. A win, win for me but I can also appreciate that people need to be strict on their spending to avoid any pitfalls.
  2. Another guess then... How about picking a contact that you do want as a preset and seeing if a 'replace' option is available?
  3. Nostalgia doesn't Top Trump a new 'UK' one though.
  4. I've got a similar engine in another VAG car and was surprised to see an additional mode wasnt available to your car as there's 4 modes in mine! ECO, normal, sport and Cupra.
  5. Now we have (hopefully) ended that little discussion, maybe @Dannylachamp could tell us what countries he intends visiting?
  6. I recall that mod being quite popular from the first Mk2's as it certainly made a difference.
  7. Could it be as simple as using silicone spray to 'lubricate' the seals? Polish would be a good reserve too!
  8. They're red to save having a harsh colour affect on your night-time driving. Edit: - Oops! Didn't actually notice the main bulbs having a red tinge!
  9. Don't forget that depending upon when you are travelling, you may need a UK sticker.
  10. If that model is what you're after then why not put a request in the Classifieds Wanted section too.
  11. They were found in two pieces (but obviously clip together) and they were found in the rear N/S footwell - but if anyone can help out as to where they actually belong please and what they do? L&K.
  12. You need to take the key out and use a thin screwdriver to pop the rear off from the place where the key has just come from. The battery is either a 2025 or 2032 but they are in essence interchangeable.
  13. I don't think so but it's imperative that a good quality cable is used to ensure exactly your sort of problems don't occur.
  14. Some cars also have a sim slot and make use of one of the free 200Mb/month Three sims that have been available. Depending upon the age of your car, you might not have this though and I can't remember which Infotainment 'parts' are fed from the eSim or real sim. I used to subscribe to get real time traffic info on the Columbus without needing to connect a phone by a cable. BTW, I'll move this to the S3 section as it might get missed in here.
  15. Did the insurance turn out to be as bad as you initially thought?
  16. Just as a guess, the radio code 'belongs' to the old instrument cluster so now you need to find it out and input it into the new one.
  17. Slightly OT but from when did keyless entry include the rear doors? Is that just on the Kodiaq?
  18. After visiting various shops over the past few days, I am gobsmacked at the number of people who either don't wear a mask or wear it under the nose - or even worse, under the chin.
  19. Lol. No I'm saying that the absolute convenience outweighs the audiophile gains which wouldn't be perceivable.
