  1. Nah spoke to james he said they have been there just over 5 years, its been running under new managment though, as before the service was far from excellent. Now there alot of people cant say a bad word against them
  2. Vauxhall diesels engines arnt brillant in my humble view. The higher power units so the 1.9 130 - 150 etc.. have got some poke. But they dont return much mpg at all. I know a few people who have owned all manner of diesel engines from vauxhall and the economy is quiet shocking. Bizzarely enough one of my dads friend changed his astra van from the old 1.9DT to the 1.9CDTi (not sure which power varient) and his getting on average 9-11mpg LESS with the same driving. His taking it back to vauxhall and they claim thats what the engines achive in the real world. Plus ive driven an astra sport hatch diesel (My boss has it as a courtest car for his saab 93) and they are pretty good to drive. Steering was a bit numb for my liking and ride rather abit to firm considering how much body roll there was. But over all there pretty sweet to drive My money would go on an octy.
  3. Looks like a good bit of tlc. Im not sure if the rear drivers door hasnt been shut properly because if thats not the case the panel gap looks quiet large....
  4. I was reading about this in the sun, I couldnt belive the amount of people driving with 12 points above. Apparently they make some crazy plea that they need there car or they will be killed, abducted by aliens, turned into a vegitable etc.... silly people. That said one of my mates got banned, nearly finished his 3 year ban and he had no points at all. However it was dangerous driving tho :S
  5. Update! The car has a fresh clean 12 Months MOT (No advisorys at all!!!) Also been serviced at well so tip top ready for another years worth of modifications. Intrestingly as well the company I took the car to (Sport Tech) found that the car was running a Revo Remap very much news to me I was always happy with how the car drove. Guess its one thing to pop on the siggy! Im not sure if you can plug companys But great service from the guys mentioned above. They did it all at a fantastic price, there very local to me as well which helps. Plus a free courtesy car! Im not associated with the company just wanted to share my thoughts! AND!!!! Am sure some of the regulars might hazard a guess what delivery came from Awesome Just thinking wether to pop this on once the uprated suspension has been popped on the car, and then throw this onto the car. AND!!!! Got these on order, as my pedal is starting to feel a bit squishy, ive got around 30% meat left on my pads. So decided to go for the good old 312mm VAG upgrade. Going to get the calipers sprayed in nice shiny gloss black from a fantastic local bodyshop. Also forgot. Done a few little bits and bobs to, metal footrest and changed all the bulbs in the car. Included the interior bulbs to nice crisp white ones. I must say my favourite is the rear plates there ever so bright haha Really looking forward to some future plans for her. I will share my thoughts on the upgraded brakes once there fitted from the above mentioned company to lol :p
  6. The thinking mans super car!! Well done buddy As clarkson once said "They havent built a new car here, theyve built a new yard stick!"
  7. My contract is nearly ending with 02, who I would like to say are useless! And been looking around for a new phone. I really cant wait to get my hands on the XP. I love the retro gaming side of things like the kiddy I am. But the hardware of the thing is awesome as well! Ive currently got a HTC Desire, and while its been a good phone it has thrown up a few problems. But im a big fan of Android over the iPhone software. For me the XP is going to be right up my street, cant wait
  8. New Car + Old 4wd System + Possible Failure Of New Car, Money And Time = W13VRS Epic Balls Good Luck Mate, I Hope It Works Out, Cant Wait to See This Progress
  9. Might be worth checking the fabia alloy archive mate!
  10. I was about to add as well buddy, If the standard arb is more expensive than the ebiach then why not go for the eibach and take a punt. But if its cheaper as you said, the original might be the way to go. As im sure you will read the rear anti roll bar tho, will make a nice diffrence to the cars behaviour
  11. Yer you would think an uprated part would. I think the standard ARB on the vRS is pretty good anyway. And certain cars respond better to certain tuning. For example a panda 100hp which is a f***** gem of a car. An uprated rarb has a negative effect and makes it rather skitty. As the little thing is planted like s*** on a workmens boot in standard form, its better left standard. Its rather hard as well, because you will only know what effect an eibach front arb will have on your vRS when you have baught and fitted it. By then its a bit to late.
  12. The problem is a skyline with ether engine varient will get very diffrent gains compared to a 1.9TDI. I do fully agree with you tho, Apexi do some superb filter solutions. But from experince all cars do seem to run diffrent with the same set up on. Plus both R32-R33-R34 Are pure animals anyway
  13. I think eibach would be the most obvious upgrade choice fella. Ive heard a few people mention that they get a little more understeer tho. Might be worth doing a quick google search to see what comes up
  14. For the money you would be spending on the nos kit, you would be better off looking at proven performance improvments for the engine. What about an intercooler?? Or use the money to save up for a new turbo, or uprated injectors?
  15. Not my cup of tea, and one license plate light looks diffrent :wonder: or is it just the way the picture has been taken. Looking at it again, I do like banded wheels am not sure if its the colour am not keen on, would like to see some day light piccys so ill withdraw my comment for now
  16. Yer thats the quotes ive been reading on the mini forums, my list of next possible projects is getting bigger. I do like the idea of a Mini S, but I must say I do want to own some VTEC in my life before I die, ether EP3, DC2 or DC5 I PROMISE THAT WILL BE THE END OF MY HIJACK!!
  17. Plenty of things can be done to the vRS to get the handling kicked up a notch. One thing I think most people overlook is one of the vRS's party peices. GRIP! The car is full of good old fashioned mechanical grip, with that said I would highly recommend splashing some £££'s at a good set of tyres! With that said brakes would be next on my agenda, replace any worm bushes with poly ones or improved oem parts. Then look at the damping and springs. Then you have plenty of torsion bar choices. Once complete you will end up with a right B Road Blaster. People will always modify there cars in diffrent ways, With that said I dont think there is a right or wrong way. Of course from your own car, take it for a good drive and work out first what needs the most attention and improvment. Try not to also set other cars as the bench mark. Learn the car and how you personally drive it. From that I hope it give you plenty of miles of smiles. Intrestingly enough am thinking of popping my vRS in storage once shes finished and was looking at a mini cooper S as my next project. Would like the supercharger one over the turbo but heard the mpg is unbelivable bad haha cant wait (Sorry for that tiny hijack)
  18. Seems to be hit and miss with these kits, I wonder if it detects if the bonnet is strait. Very hard to say mate, Have a play with the spcaing other wise if nothing works wip it off and ask for a refund. It cant be helped if the bonnet doesnt sit right. Plus no one wants there car to look like its had a brang!
  19. When of the nicest cars to modify the bora. Very easy to get one looking stunning. Yours looked tip top mate, good luck with the octy hunt!
  20. Ive pretty much changed all the lights in my interior for l.e.d ones. Have to say the glovebox amused me, because it wouldnt come out far enough on mine to make it workable. I would highly recommend just taking the glovebox off. Its a easy peasy to!!
  21. FunkyXTurd Pwning as many n00bs as I can
