  4. PD150/160 isnt a straight fit, you ll need to do a couple of mods
  5. What engine are we talking about here? 1.4 16v by any chance? or vrs- asz? blt ?
  6. Catalyst failures are quite common on the 1.2, £300 to replace is massively excessive. Skoda advise NEVER using fuel additives in the owners manual and also on most engine courses techs are told in no uncertain terms not to use any additives.
  7. Sounds as if they may have put too much gas in ?? as if you had a leak that severe you would hear it hissing out

  10. Next time the idle stays high pull the throttle pedal up and see if that cures it? sticking pedal is pretty common

  12. No its massive boost/torque spikes in questionable maps that kills clutches, or re-mapping a car with a well worn clutch
  13. Its usually a comms error, your software or cable will be the cause

  16. What was the noise limit at coombe again? i recorded a 103.6db at bedford on monday so may need to bring extra silencing
  17. Hi there, if you go back a page you ll see the problem explained with pics too lol, basically its a blown fuse on top of the battery
  18. /\/\/\/\ yep spot on, mega common problem usually the motor failed
  19. You can just change the pump as its outside of the engine casing, engine runs a cam chain
  20. Just get someone to check for play in front suspension, balljoints,track rod ends etc, but it was all fine the other day, have you got matching tyres on the front now ? and similar tread depths alla round ?
  21. Devonutopia has taken it too the extreme, give him a pm, we ve done plenty of conversions to the pd100, the last one which was 150 hybrid, 150 injectors and decent map made 195hp, you ll generally need to uprate the clutch which can be a pain to source
  22. This engine suffered with valve problems, the cure was a new cylinder head, get the compressions checked before paying for all those bits
