  1. Honestly, I haven't really tried S much in this car. I've only had it a fortnight. I used to use S all the time in my previous car though (Scirocco). I have used it once or twice and there was a fair difference. I haven't really sat down and messed with the modes too much either - will investigate tomorrow.
  2. Appreciate this is the Octavia forum, but I will try this on my Superb and report back. The throttle pedal is quite annoying in that you almost need to stand on it for the car to shift, and then all of a sudden it rockets off. I suppose I could get used to it, but coming from a 2.0 TSI 180HP DSG car that apparently had much more linear response, this is driving me nuts.
  3. I've also done the Audi mod, can't feel much difference, if any. I feel I have to almost stamp the pedal to make it go sometimes
  4. Bought an alloy bolt cover puller Bidding on a spare wheel kit Drilled new number plates in preparation for when I can stick my plate on the car Bought fixings for said number plates (needed black screw caps) Found a nice short USB C cable for use with my phone in the car Oh, waiting for a boot liner. I think I want one of those steel bumper protectors I really should get a dashcam And I also fancy retrofitting a reversing camera
  5. Ok good to know, thanks. Warranty more or less paid for itself already in that case.
  6. Yes I have the same problem. Need to wait for Skoda warranty to kick in then I'll get it looked at. However, not sure I should be paying for the labour under a warranty...
  7. Ah yes, good point. I should have notes that when you said the 205 was flush. Thanks
  8. @JR RS That's perfect! Thank you so much for your reply. I'm planning a drive to Germany later in the year and I don't fancy being stranded at the roadside without a spare wheel, so good to know a full size spare works too. Tempted to get a full size alloy... But that may be a bit over the top.
  9. Well, in my case the rain was so heavy the pothole was virtually impossible to see at night. I'd gone back the next day to take a photo, but what made me laugh - there were three of us at the side of the road whom has all been caught out the night before. We were stood there, pointing at the road, yet at one car smacked it in broad daylight! In the light and not raining - you honestly would have to be blind NOT to see it!
  10. Not skinny - full size spare? How does the boot floor do, I mean without the foam insert that was there before.. I need a spare wheel so looking at options
  11. Wheel fortunately ok. Tyre destroyed. New tyre car is now usable again
  12. Here's the pothole I hit. Had a new tyre, fortunately the wheel is ok.
  13. I munted a wheel earlier. The outside looks ok, but the tyre is flat as a pancake. No idea what the inside of the rim looks like, will see what happens when I get a new tyre slapped on tomorrow.
  14. Drove mine over a huge pothole and killed a tyre. £45 later and car is now out on the street, post recovery. Hopefully the wheel is OK 😞 Bah!
  15. So the weather created a massive pothole. One I didn't see until after the BANG. Munched a tyre for sure, possibly a wheel - not sure yet, need to get the tyre changed out tomorrow first. Anyone know a good price/source for one?

    VCDS Please

Give me a shout if you still need help - I have VCDS am in Bridgend,
  17. I think 2008-2015 is the range for the Mk2. Mine was a 2011. You are right, there wasn't any Mk1 Superb Estate.
  18. My entry is old.. haha, I've since had a 2016 VW Scirocco, and now on a 2016 Skoda Superb Estate.
  19. I assume you'd be looking at the Mark 2? I had one for a while that was a 1.8TSI, I loved that car and ultimately regretted parting with it. But it's OK - I bought another one last week. Happy hunting, the Superb is truly a great cruising car capable of eating miles with ease. You will be pleased.
  20. Will do - I need to wait for the Skoda Warranty to kick in and I'll get it booked in. It's totally intermittent for me - one journey nothing will happen, others the light will flash and be present for a short while and then go away again.
  21. Good to know, the Skoda warranty was more expensive than warranty direct...
  22. OK - I'm not leaving this to chance, bought Skoda Used Warranty - I know I'm covered now.
  23. Ah, understood. OK - so what is the best way forward for me? I'm not sure the garage I bought it from will truly understand the fault (or will plead ignorance/never seen it) A Skoda warranty is going to be around £520, warrantydirect ~£300 I'm happy to buy a warranty as I factored this in anyway - anyone using a 3rd party warranty without issue here?
