I fitted Ring Xenon Max (identical to Philips Extreme) in my vRS and found they were a big improvement over OEM. However if you want the best lighting go for a HID kit. I have now transferred the Rings Xenon Max's to swmbo's Golf and they are a perfect match to the Philips Blue vision side light bulbs. Bulb fitting is a piece of cake in the Octavia as you remove the entire headlight, 1 x nylon screw and a pull hook in the lower inside corner of the lamp.

I like it Bryan, especially the fading, I know it was only done for simplicity, but it works really well! Now for some pictures of the items fitted?

I did drive like I stole it on several occasions ......... How can stage 2+ be more economical then?

Everytime I start the car the above light comes on, if I turn the lights on it goes out. After physically checking no bulbs are out ....... I do have a HID kit and LED sidelights fitted, with the controller coded to accommodate, but these have been installed for over 18 months! Any ideas?

I've said this in a recent thread but don't mind repeating it, a couple of weeks ago I did a brim to brim test and achieved 26.4mpg, but everyone of those miles put a smile on my face. Last week I did a trip to work at a leisurely pace and according to the trip computer I achieved 37.2mpg ................... B O R I N G !!!

This bad boy continues to rear it's head, about 6 months ago I negotiated a group buy with SS which worked out to 30% if I could get 10 people interested ............ unfortunately I think only 3 people came forward including Harry and myself. I was eventually put off by correspondence with SS where they claimed a fitting kit wasn't included due to the issues with glues getting damaged because of climate, WTF???

Where's my bling for all the recommendations? Spoke to Fred at work this morning, he seems pleased.

Great sales pitch but utter BS I'm afraid! @ OP, going straight from standard to stage 2 is defo the way forward, I was running stage 1 for over 2 years before I took the next step, besides the software being far superior, the car pull, like a frigging freight train, 4th gear from 60 mph is just brutal!
