1. Episode 2 out today. He might be releasing a new episode each week, every Saturday. I've subscribed to the channel, not watched this one yet.
2. Lets have another Holy Thread Revival, Batman!! Edd is back on Youtube. and will (hopefully) making a new series of vids. Edd China Workshop Diaries. Here is the first one https://www.youtube.com/c/eddchina/videos
3. The 15 inch spare wheel is 6J ET 38.
4. This is what we got when we asked for a spare before picking up the car.
5. Do you mean how much should be sanitized to remove possible Covid germs? This should be in the procedure that the garage should do after the service. If not minimum should be to wipe door handles, bonnet leaver, front seat(s) and steering wheel. Possibly also switches/buttons they may have tested. Of course the key-fob, unless it was placed in a plastic bag.
6. The pollen filter and ducting would be the first thing I'd look at. I'd imagine if they were blocked it would restrict airflow. If that doesn't fix it, you could always search and/or join and post on here. https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/forum/1-ford-fiesta-club/ I am a member of it (as a Fiesta owner) and find it useful and helpful.
7. It really is Project Binky.... in colour. I have just watched it and was going to post it on here, but you beat me to it. Everyone was hoping it would be painted BRG, but the finished result is absolutely stunning . I have a feeling it has been done too early though. I think the car should have been started and gone for some test runs to find and faults and problems before the final painting is done. Things may need to be changed, more brackets made, etc. I really do hope that once it is on the road, there is isn't a tree out there with Binky's name on it.
8. You won't gain any more power if you change the filter. I changed my dirty-ish paper one to a K&N panel whilst on a rolling road. I gained a massive 1.1BHP (0.5%). I'm sure there are people on here with modified engines (200+ BHP) who still use paper filters.
9. I have enjoyed watching all of these interviews. Part 2 of the Mat and Jason interview was just as entertaining as the others.
10. A month on and there's a small update vid on Youtube. It's all about how the wheel arch extensions were made. Not sure if the end was a teaser or a red herring. This is the guy they mentioned in the vid. https://www.youtube.com/user/superazote
11. I'm not sure about other manufactures, but I know Ford have an active Grille on their cars. My Fiesta has one. It only covers the side intercooler. I've seen it working when switching my air-con on and off on my drive.
12. The boosted air is cooled by a water cooled intercooler (charge cooler), This almost has it's own cooling system. It has a small electric pump and radiator, located under the main radiator. https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2016-797/1/121-121020/ https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2016-797/1/121-121021/ You are right, you want to limit the airflow to the main rad, but not so much the small one. The upper grille, will feed most air to main radiator, however I don't think air is separated.
13. Just a thought. Does "battery" refer to the one in the key-fob? It is known on here that they don't last very long. However I'm not sure if it's only cars with keyless (push button) start though.
14. If you are correct then not only are the calipers different, but the whole wheel hubs are different. They were on the mk1. If so the best bet is to upgrade the quality of the pads and discs to 'fast road' type.
15. Is there any way of getting a service book for the Fabia? We use independent or small family run garages who probably won't have access to the service database. If in the future if decide to sell/trade in the car or even use different garages, how would they know the service history and what has been done?
16. Update I now not only follow them on Youtube, but recently joined their Facebook page. Tonight they posted this update vid. https://www.facebook.com/badobsessionmotorsport/videos/1263842360656099/
17. I wondered about updating this thread and showing that they are up to now, but didn't. I was lucky enough to see them racing at Croft a few weeks ago (see part 8 + 9). I was Flagging at Sunny in corner. In the short lunch break we had I was able to go to the team and met Nik, who was very nice. He assured me Binky will be finished soon. There will be more updates on the truck too.
18. If this site stays up and is useful, can I suggest to the Mods, to make it a Sticky thread, or maybe merge it with the owners manual download sticky thread, please.
19. I have just found this from another forum for my car, so looked and found free pdf manuals for Fabia mk3. https://cardiagn.com/skoda-fabia-mk3-2015-2019-2020-workshop-manuals-wiring-diagrams/ If they don't work, please check your browser setting to enable all cookies. You will probably need to go through the CAPCHA system (clicking on pics) to finally access them.
20. I thought seat belts are checked for wear and tear at every MOT. I'm sure I sure I saw the 15 year inspection on my Fabia too. I wondered if it had anything to do with the seat belt pre-tensioners.
21. Is this a Brigestone thing? Our 3.5/4 year old ER300 on our 66 plate Fabia mk3 have cracked on the edge too. Not sure if we should replace them as have plenty of tread left. They were on rear until earlier this year.
22. All dampers are oil filled. However some also use high pressure gas as well, and these are the best ones to go for. If you have standard ones at the front I would go for anything special (sporty) ones for the rear, only gas (and oil) filled ones.
23. I ended up using a plastic syringe. You can not only reach to fill the reservoir easier, but can accurately measure how much you add.
24. I have a Halfords sheepskin mit which is ok, (was a xmas present), One of these however after a year it has started to fall apart, so I'm after a new one. I am very tempted to buy a Microfiber madness incredimit as they get good reviews and should last longer than my current one, however at the moment, I can't seam to find anywhere with them in stock.
