  1. I haven't tbh, the door mirror knob is set to heat and they demist along with the rear window using the app. I'm not using it as an EV until this cold spell goes as battery life is dreadful and electricity is getting very expensive.
  2. I think he means it might not fit his car, the estate. It won't, he has a Superb estate, the car you linked to is an Octavia.
  3. It works perfectly using the buttons. If I move it when cleaning it etc I have to move it back manually it doesn't do anything automatically.
  4. What is supposed to happen? My chair never moved since I bought the car.
  5. I spoke too soon, I changed my nickname on the VW site but it never changed on the Columbus...
  6. I have never heard of auto rear wiping on any car, how would it know when the screen needed wiping? There's no camera on the rear screen. The wipe in reverse only activates after the front wipers have been activated by the detection of water on the windscdscreen. I use it until this time of year when the rear screen can be icy, I detest wipers grinding over frost.
  7. Hi guys just found this thread from a general google search. The name on my columbus was annoying me a lot. I used Amari's method of going to the vw portal and it worked perfectly. Many thanks.
  8. I had none in my ex demo Superb, turns out they only came with one originally, feckin skinflints 😏
  9. I wouldn't be crazy about the back either. The estate is a lovely looking car in fairness.
  10. Hasn't happened in 31 years of car ownership I'll take my chances 😏
  11. I've never had any fitted to any Skoda's I've owned since 2004. They're a pain in the nuts tbh.
  12. I hope they do something with that grille I absolutely hate it😡
  13. It seems to be more in the diesel cars than the petrol models, I only ever had the creaking where it was loud in the diesel, I get it a small bit in the iV but only when it's very cold and the suspension is fully extended, speed ramps etc.
  14. No. But 6 hours to charge is painful especially when it gives less than 30km. With the weather getting colder charging times get longer and distance travelled get much shorter. Eleven months and longer to wait for a car is absolutely ridiculous.
  15. It's just that time of year again, I ignore it it's always a reminder that the roads are getting slippy😆
  16. No. Because you have xenon's which heat up and dry the moisture out.
  17. I think a few tried but ran into problems with the back of the bulbs being too long. I think it's easier to get better quality xenon's than go the led route.
  18. No, I've used various different bulbs and never had any errors.
  19. Could you use a cigarette lighter type memory retaining device in the boot, hooked up to a small motorbike battery during the changeover. The socket in the boot is permanently live.
  20. I don't know tbh, I'm in Ireland and my car is a march 2021 iV style model. I think all style models here have lane assist.
  21. No joy then unfortunately, I absolutely love mine. They saved my bacon a few days ago in very bad fog I almost drove into the path of an army lorry after leaving a toll plaza, neither of us saw each other, luckily I had room to move over.
  22. Does it have the orange lights in the mirrors that light as a car approaches?
  23. Mine goes through phases of bings and bongs, mostly to do with heavy dew on the windscdscreen upsetting the tsr or the headlight dip function. You'd think they'd program it to wait until the wipers had a chance to clear the screen, I don't take any notice anymore.
  24. It goes from green to red when you switch off the engine or open the drivers door, as others have said it just means it's gone from auto hold to fully applied, you'll hear the mechanism on the rear brakes tightening the pads.
