If it has xenon headlights they are great check for dance on startup and nice white light on both. When start going pink means new bulb. Drl fog lights change bulbs to non error LED looks better once purchased.

17” wheels hopefully makes for a better ride. Check carefully around tailgate number plate lights for any signs of galvanic corrosion and get it resolved as it ruins the car.

SE plus I think we’re well spec’d sounds like a good one. Keep those sunroof drain holes clear if it’s one that opens. Listen out for wheel bearings and check for broken suspension springs mot should spot this.

1.6 may have issues. Superb is a very large car especially estate. Will fuel and other filters be changed has it had the emissions fix applied might reduce EGR life although they can go without fix. Check for vibration and labouring at low speeds couid be DMF for clutch I love my superb elegance estate but it’s had its fair share of common issues. You have had Japanese might have been very reliable and low maintenance

Cambelt Gamble!
I gambled my high mileage Octy2005 TDi had 3 or more belts by meand when it was costing more than I could sell it for I decided not to change. I did no inspections on mine at all. Sold at 265k. The replacement recommended was 4 years or 85k whichever sooner. For mine.

Drivers door handle
Mine used to do that but always heard it click back as door was closed from drivers seat. I didnt exactly slam it shut. Never caused any issues so never addressed it.

Drivers side window.
Isn’t it 2 years parts and labour warranty on everything at Skoda?

Most likely you are not letting it complete a DPF regen or taking it on a long run.

Blower not working
Another happy customer here 2011 Superb Elegance DSG combi. Motor packed up weeks ago and it’s been cold. Only saving grace is heated seats all around heated front as well as rear screen and a microfibre to wipe the mist off the doors. Managed to break the arrow alignment tab on mine it came out with a twist. But it was a pain trying to ease it past whatever was stopping it coming down into the footwell. Copious amounts of GT85 spray later I felt it moves better but not totally free. Back in the car and I have a heater again. That you so much to all who posted and @Sanmart for assisting with the free fix. I would say it was water ingress in my case as there was some signs of it around the motor casing once removed. Any ideas where it’s coming from and how to deal with it? Where are people ordering replacement blowers from?

Trusty old 1.9tdi or newer 1.6tdi?
It’s the cam chain that worried me on these, we had a 2008 1.4 122hp Golf and it rattled on startup, always wondered if there was a problem brewing. It got wrote off at low miles so I never knew.

Trusty old 1.9tdi or newer 1.6tdi?
The 1.6 engine did have some injector issues. Perhaps stick with the 1.9 latest you can get is around 2009 I believe. Or a 2lt CR. However with 1.9 you have no DPF or EGR complexity with cooler etc to worry about, simpler on PD

Wing (rear view) mirror (driver side) indicator light malfunction
Glad you got it sorted. I broke one of the small screws once turned the head snapped off. It’s still held in okay despite all the damage the mirror casing etc took.

Wing (rear view) mirror (driver side) indicator light malfunction
No dash warnings at all. I believe they are not monitored. I already had the drivers door loom replaced a few years ago.

Wing (rear view) mirror (driver side) indicator light malfunction
Some instructions from this site maybe search thread yourself. A slight correction to the procedure I described above: I've just had to do this job on my 2013 Superb Elegance estate, it is a very fiddly procedure: Remove the mirror glass, disconnect the heating element wires. Remove the downlighter bulb. Remove the 2 Torx head machine screws. Remove the 2 Torx head self tapping screw securing the top half of the mirror housing and the two catches, then gently lever up the top half and remove it. Unclip and remove the bottom half, with the repeater light unit still attached. Remove the 2 Torx head self tappers holding the downlighter bulb holder and remove it to expose the screws securing the repeater unit. Remove the 2 Torx head self tappers attaching the repeater unit to the bottom half of the mirror housing and disconnect the wiring block from the light unit. All the Torx screws are T10. Replacement is the exact reverse, be careful not to trap the wires leading to the repeater and the heated mirror.

Wing (rear view) mirror (driver side) indicator light malfunction
My drivers side just died I bought some led dynamic ones the power connection does not fit so intermittently work. For one I know the original genuine was faulty if new one works. There are some write ups here and also these are the same I believe as the FL Octavia door mirrors. The standard ones are very expensive to buy hence me going dynamic as they cost a lot less for 2. Be careful it’s very brittle for me on a 2011 superb and I broke a few plastic clips.
