  1. I suspect that there may be more recommendations for aawireless as its been available for longer, I got my initial unit in '21 and still use it daily. As you say it's very adaptable (removing the click limit and altering dpi is great) and in the early days the dev was great at resolving issues with different oem quirks. Of course the last point is moot as we all have Superbs here. They were also adding ios support but I've not looked into that as I've always been with the green robot. My hunch is that the issue is the lottery that is alibaba, like most I've had some great stuff and some utter garbage.
  2. Another vote for AAWireless, it works flawlessly in 2 cars.
  3. Mine was a broken wire where it feeds from the front wing in to the drivers door
  4. I can't find the thread, but I'm sure others have used a wrap
  5. I had this last year. Main dealer said it was a fail, I took it to a local garage I trusted who wanted to know why I thought they needed to be replaced. The re MOTed and off I went.
  6. Yep, I bought one of these link not perfect, but better than the ones that came with the vacuum
  7. I'm liking the look of that dispenser pen - I may have to retire my toothpick!
  8. I've noticed a couple of stone chips on the wheels that are starting to corrode. Rather than just take a punt I wondered if anyone know of a black touch-up paint that matches? Cheers
  9. I mixed it myself from the various supplied colours until i was happy with the match.
  10. I had a go using dye on our sofa . Whilst the results were not perfect it helped really helped take the edge off. Here's the kit I used: https://amzn.eu/d/73hzwXA
  11. I had the same symptoms and Kenny R's post was the solution. Why reverse auto wipe also impacts occasional wipe when in drive isn't immediately obvious to me, but it worked nonetheless.
  12. Thanks @ChrisCh and @Chazzy you were on the money. 10 second with a torch and a push of the seal around the neck and all is well. A bit of a design flaw really, but easy enough to fix.
  13. Sorry thread revival. My 190tsi has started to wiff of petrol too. There are no drips, leaks or visable signs that I can see. @ChrisChDid the evap cannister sort it?
  14. Someone tried a relay attack on ours, but the Superb was immune. Thatcham results here Click. The LEAF is susceptible (but was ignored by the tea leafs), so our keys now reside in this Click and it seems to do the job
  15. If it is by design I've not got the option enabled in mine!
  16. I'd not though of wrapping. Please report back if you do!
  17. Sorry, I never updated this. The dealer replaced the cluster (to my pleasant surprise). But it was under warranty.
  18. Mine is identical. The dealer somewhat condescendingly told me that it was the "chemicals" I used to clean the car. I 1) invited him to inspect my autoglym chemicals, and 2) asked why it was only on the quarter light and not the door trims. Having previously been down the path of having glass replaced I decided that increasingly purple, but sealed and flush glass from the factory was preferable to any replacement I may argue for. @UndertheRadarmakes a good point. I've not had mine since new, so wonder if it was part of the prep when I got the car (although it is slowly getting worse)
  19. Interesting, I guess improved MPG (as well as a bit more protection) is the motivation?
  20. This thread may be of use Click
  21. I had similar, it was the cable into the door
  22. You're not going to like this, but my '10 plate was repaired several times yet it always came back. A new tailgate was ultimate solution. I put it down to a poor quality weld.
  23. Sasha fitted mine, and is also based it Wales, although North not South. I'm not sure if she's still active on briskoda as she sold her Superb.
  24. Another vote for rotating and replacing all 4 in 1 hit.
  25. I'm not so sure if you can have lane assist coded any more. Mine did have it, and the the garage updated the software and the ability to recode (I'm told) was removed. In truth it wasn't great without the relevant sensor enabled steering wheel - without it you have to move the steering wheel even if the assist has you perfectly in the lane (which on the motorway it would). I'm sure there will be more details elsewhere in briskoda.
