  1. There are several orange warning symbols, please post a picture of the orange warning symbol you are seeing.
  2. Is that also true of the FL that @hermanekhas as well as the pre-FL which is what the illustration appears to show?
  3. Are you 100% sure that the H7 bulb is fitted correctly?
  4. I thought the FL only came with LED headlamps? I could be wrong...
  5. Your 2013 Octavia 3 will have a MIB1 infotainment system, I doubt that screen from Halfords will be an equivalent replacement.
  6. What exactly did you buy off eBay, just the screen or the glovebox unit as well? You only mention the screen (BTW the screen is JUST a screen, the intelligence is in the glovebox unit), and since 3 of them don't work that hints you may have a faulty glovebox unit or the cable between the glovebox unit and the screen?
  7. Don't even think of buying a copy of a VCDS cable, buy the real thing from a local distributor or direct from Ross-Tech in the USA - unless you like using unknown hacked software and are happy to get no support...
  8. Genuine Skoda/VW cat or aftermarket - there's been a lot of recent discussion on the Ross-Tech forum about how aftermarket cats efficiency is much lower due the lower metal content.
  9. Slightly suspicious at that low cost - I sold a 12 year old genuine HEX-USB for slightly over £100 on eBay a few years ago and that was cheap at the time! Try downloading and installing the latest VCDS version which is 22.9 from here, if you join the Ross-Tech forum and ask for tech support they'll need you to be using the latest version with all the bug fixes and upgrades.
  10. Did it come with a CD with software? If it did then it's a clone. Did it cost less than £100? If it did then it's almost certainly a clone.
  11. 1} Leuchte programming is not on the PQ24 platform. 2) Is your VCDS 12.12 genuine, that's usually a sign of an illegal clone? Try updating to the current VCDS version (upgrades are free for life fro the Ross-Tech website if you have a genuine cable). BTW we have a policy of not supporting owners of illegal clone cables.
  12. Get a USB power adapter for the 12V socket and use that?
  13. My understanding is that the Haldex does not share fluid with the differential, so just because the Haldex fluid is contaminated does not necessarily mean there is any damage to the differential. I would just repair/refurbish/replace the Haldex as a first step as it is very likely to fix the problem.
  14. So do you have HID headlamps since you mention ballast? Removing the headlights is a bumper off job as the headlights are bigger than the hole in the bumper!
  15. Corrosion in connector, broken/bent pin in connector, wire barely attached to connector now not attached... Time for the mark 1 eyeball and multimeter to take a good look at the connector.
  16. My iPhone 12 Pro gets hot when charging overnight using a genuine Apple magsafe wireless charger, so the heating is not restricted to aftermarket wireless chargers and even happens when the phone is almost idle sitting on my bedside table overnight.
  17. As I mentioned previously, direct injection petrol engines have a tendency to sound like a diesel, principally because of the high pressure direct injection. They're not quite as bad nowadays as the 2002 Audi A2 I experienced as a loan car (the injection now tends to be multiple small bursts rather than one single big burst which improves the burn as well as reducing the noise).
  18. It looks like something Goblin Works Garage dreamed up on a day they all had a bad hangover.
  19. While Component Protection is active all bets are off as many functions are disabled.
  20. Towbar prep includes the wiring (can't answer about the gauge of the wire for the fridge) but doesn't include coding - it can't because towbar prep does not include the trailer module so something that isn't there can't be coded and other modules that need to know the trailer module is there (ABS, BCM, etc.) can't be coded as it's there when it's not present without them throwing lots of error codes.
  21. An independent garage with online access to the Skoda servers can also clear Component Protection.
  22. Comparing the allowing for inflation price I paid for a new Fabia in 2005 with a similar spec Fabia now against the same comparison for a Polo shows that the 'no brainer' choice is no longer the Fabia.
  23. Over the many years I've been watching F1 it's been very obvious that Ferrari have been given 'leeway' that no other team was given to exploit loopholes in the regulations (maybe even outright cheating some would say) so IMHO it's a bit rich when they complain about other teams.
