First house built 2021, last ones still being built now in 2023, mine build in 2022.

As with so many things selling them isn't illegal but using/fitting them is.

So not all builds will have EV charger points...only those with recent planning permission. So we're both right and both wrong 😇

My last order from Kopacek was handed to the courier on 15th November 2022, tracking at one stage suggested it was in Israel, emailing Kopacek produced a useless generic response but Royal Mail finally delivered it (a Jiffy bag) on 29th Deceber.

I live on an estate of new builds and there is only one house that has an EV charge point - which the owners fitted after moving in because they have an EV. So it is most definitely NOT compulsory for new build homes to have EV chargers.

IIRC the production change happened in May 2015, my 2015 was 29th April 2015 build date.

That's the idea and most of the time my experience with HBA is that it's pretty good BUT when I was behind a Kia with some rear lights that were not a solid red block but two rows of dots it didn't detect that there was a car in front so I had to manually dip the headlights.

Early 2015 models have MIB1 (like my previous Elegance) as the MIB2 came in in mid-2015 - so @matt_jcould have either MIB1 or MIB2 since he says he has a 2015 model.

HBA (High Beam Assist) was also available on other variants - my previous Elegance had it (using a basic camera at address 20) and so does my current L&K (with the highline camera at address A5).

That depends on the engine size, it could be a DQ200, DQ380 or DQ381.

... which is what I have done, over the years I've ripped all my CDs (and some vinyl and cassettes too) so I have all my music on my iPhone and on SD cards.

What infotainment system does his vRS have - Amundsen, Columbus, something else? The Amundsen doesn't have a CD player nor does it support a CD player, AFAIK only the Columbus has a CD/DVD player.

The seller doesn't specifically state the size, but Googling that part number suggests it's a 32GB card.

The UK Right To Repair Regulations say: but says nothing about the difficulty of the repair or provides for owners to make repairs. So as long as Skoda place the information on how to change the indicator bulb in the public domain they are compliant.

Are they not pressure equalising holes to allow for changes in atmospheric pressure and altitude?

But when the card arrives check the size by putting it into a PC, the first supposedly 32GB card I got off eBay was actually 16GB so I reported it to the seller who refunded me and then changed the description of their listing. The second 32GB card was actually a 32GB card. As always 'caveat emptor'.

AFAIK the BCM monitors the element to check for open or short circuit when in normal use (not when doing output test) so if it sees 1M ohm then it won't operate the relay.

I can confirm that, my previous Octavia had a MIB1 Amundsen and I used both MIB1 and MIB2 SD cards for map updates, both of which worked. Now I have a MIB2 Amundsen and for future proofing purchased a 32GB Skoda SD card off eBay (other auction sites are available).

A fault code scan with a proper VAG tool such as VCDS or OBDeleven would be useful as we're all really just making guesses at the moment.

Given the amount of scraped data allegedly available on the Dark Web it is very unlikely to need physical searches as you suggest, complacency is what makes the task of hackers easier which is why we are constantly being advised to keep passwords out of the public domain and to, where possible, change them regularly. Facebook makes a huge amount of its income from selling personal data, so should be regarded as untrustworthy IMHO.
