  1. Could be a blown fuse (or two). That's where I'd start.
  2. You either have an RNS310 or an RNS315. They're very different despite looking the same. If that's your actual unit in the pic then it's an RNS315. Maps for an RNS310 will not work.
  3. I'm not certain VAG ever did maps for South American countries, but to answer your question. The unit you have is not an MIB Amundsen which is the topic of discussion here. The maps for your particular unit are supplied on a single use SD card which is VAG specific, and you can't use any other SD card to copy maps tomthe unit.
  4. Yep, that's something I could look at. I'll message you.
  5. Got as far as reading this and thought b0llocks.
  6. The end...
  7. Maybe (just a guess) the engine is producing too much soot when under load, so it's not going to burn it off fast enough as it's just producing more all the time.
  8. Did you buy it from main dealers or private?
  9. Your problem (at least for the purposes of the MOT test) is the lack of an engine management light (EML) on start up. This doesn't in itself indicate a fault, but it does mean a failure of the test as this light is supposed to work. So don't be trying to fix a fault with the engine or exhaust emissions stuff, because the fault doesn't lie there. You need to find out why the EML isn't working. That may be simply a failure of the led for that particular light, or more sinister someone has mapped out the EML to hide an expensive fault which they didn't want to fix.
  10. Did the local garage who did the work hear the noise and also diagnose the clutch, flywheel, timing belt etc. or did you just give them the car and tell them to do the work?
  11. Check my post earlier on. That should be what you need I think.
  12. Then you need an updated software version.
  13. On the radio screen touch "Extras" at the bottom of the screen, then select "Radio Text"
  14. It's an Amundsen MIB, probably MIB1 if it's the original. I can fit a new touchscreen if required, I think I have one in the workshop.
  15. Was there something you wanted to ask?
  16. First pic, red arrow points to where the pot of snot (tyre repair glue cannister) would sit if required. Second pic left hand side, just storage. Second pic right hand side, most likely compressor to go with the pot of snot.
  17. You might be right, I'm on the mobile so limited functionality here.
  18. I might be going daft, but it seems to me that the files are hosted on lighthouselabs.eu. I'm not sure that's anything to do with VW...
  19. There will be once VW release the actual maps. Currently these appear to be bootleg or pre-release maps.
  20. Rustynuts replied to deepu's topic in Skoda Yeti
If he were using a genuine tool then yes, but alas...
  21. Does it have TUV certification or does it just have a TÜV sticker on it? In reality a sticker means nothing.... In the same way I see CE markings on many items. Then I go on Amazon and find someone selling CE mark stickers for pennies and realise that maybe not all (or even some) cheap ****e stuff is actually CE marked, and is simply "chinese tat" with a 2p sticker on it. Add to that the fact that the Chinese have enterprisingly produced their own China Export logo (and sticker) which is strikingly similar and can be stuck on anything exported from China it seems, and there's nothing reliable in a sticker or marking.
  22. Viofo A119 V3 QuadHD, just bought two for my car's.
  23. The water is in the drivers side, nowhere near the pollen filter.
  24. Yeah, that's an Amundsen Plus unit. So it's something which would be fitted to cars of that age perhaps, but possibly not to your particular model. It shouldn't be causing any battery drain unless someone has been doing something silly. One thing that does puzzle me. You made mention of fitting a new relay, can you explain what this was please?
  25. Again, you'd best post a pic of the actual unit. There are slight differences which to the untrained eye make a big difference. Posting a picture is not something which should defeat you as you've posted a pic right there already.
