  1. Ah ******. Just had a closer look at your unit, it's one of the early ones with the speaker button top right. I don't have anything to replace that other than a complete unit.
  2. There's a few different models of screen, but all made by Continental. The one you linked to is a VW branded one and as such will have red LEDs rather than green like yours. The boot screen and menu colours are driven from the main board though. Ultimately it depends how handy you are with a set of torx drivers and ribbon cable connections as to whether or not you go for a self fix. But I'll ship you a tested Skoda display like the one you linked to for less than he wants for the wrong one.
  3. You could look at VCDS but there's not much it's likely to tell you I'm afraid. The screen is driven from a different board to the rest of the unit, and most likely it's a screen or screen board failure. Shoot me a message if you want it looking at.
  4. But put it like this, if anyone thinks they're being ignored by someone they could try sending them a pm, that would make them aware if they were I suspect.
  5. We had a thread started on another forum titled "Who's on your ignore list". It didn't end well, only lasted a day or so before the lock... 🤣
  6. No, I don't generally get too involved in TV stuff, but new house, new partner, new life, gonna make sure the new TV is nice. Having said that, don't we all know that despite paying £10 a month extra for the HD package on Sky she's still gonna watch & record everything in standard definition...🤣
  7. Simple question, new TV time for new home, so which one, Oled or Qled? Or any other thoughts? Cheers.
  8. Post a picture of the unit you have please...
  9. The Columbus has a single DVD drive not a multichanger. It's entirely possible to have the Columbus with a cd changer, but it's also likely that the Columbus was added as an aftermarket by someone, and they didn't code things properly.
  10. Nothing has changed since you messaged me and asked, but I'll tell you again. The best course of action is head off to Ebay, search "Skoda radio code" or suchlike, and ask them if they can get it for you. Cost about a tenner. Country boundaries will not make any difference, so the fact you're in Australia won't be a concern.
  11. I can see Dale Stevens has posted something, but I can't read it... 😇
  12. My "Ignore" list seems to get longer week by week...😅
  13. Bolero doesn't have sat nav...
  14. This thread is ridiculous. How old are you all? Get a grip!
  15. 🤔 Because when the summer tyres are worn out, the all seasons will do all year. If winters were fitted on the other set of wheels he'd need another set of summers fitting to balance the use.
  16. Search eBay for RNS315 V12 maps.
  17. That depends, if it's an Amundsen Plus unit then you need a single use SD card for updates, if it's a later MIB unit then you can download the files for frree from Skoda or VW portal.
  18. You're correct, it needs to be either a cd or dvd for software upgrade. I couldn't honestly say if someone else / some other site is going to provide valid links for software, that's beyond my knowledge. 😉
  19. VCDS will do all the required coding.
  20. The unit will need coding to make sure all the options work correctly. It will work, but may not show the parking sensors etc. Octavia & Yeti units are effectively the same.
  21. Amundsen (4 button) has sat nav built in.
  22. Ah, if it's a DAB unit I don't currently have any replacements with DAB, but I have some spares. Cost will be as cheap as possible as you're a customer, but I won't know til I have a look.
  23. It's a common problem with Columbus (RNS510) systems. Sometimes a software fault but invariably it's main board failure. I can take a look on a no fix no fee basis, or I have a replacement on the shelf.
  24. Bulb are strongly rumoured to be about to fold imminently.
