  1. It usually means that one or more of the sensors has failed. If the car is less than 3 years old get it repaired under warranty. If not, the sensors are horrendously expensive. A code reader should tell you which one(s) has failed.
  2. The act of removing the rear seat usually destroys the plastic gizmos at the front of the seat as they are one-way only. They are relatively cheap and easy to replace.
  3. Hopefully this should be a picture of the said lights....sorry about the poor focus!
  4. I also have the Superskoda lights, they are fantastic and plug and play fitment.
  5. The Classic DAB station is called Classic FM, which can be confusing. You cannot mix and match presets on one screen.
  6. Well, that's progress for you, it seems that my 2013 model may have features that others long for. Perhaps their cars have features that I long for....
  7. You can cycle between audio sources with the button that is furthest left on the left pad.
  8. ECE 2016/2017 are the latest maps. ECE 2016 were the previous maps.
  9. PM me when you have time and I will let you know how.
  10. Today I took the Tiger Cub to the Sywell Aerodrome Pistons & Props show, classic bikes, cars and planes. Poor little bike, 2 up and seemingly uphill all the way. However, it made it and attracted a good deal of attention on our motorcycle club stand.
  11. I put a cheaper version of SilentCoat type adhesive material in the spare wheel well, across the whole rear floor and under the rear seat, then a barrier foam under the rear carpet and also under the rear seat. There was a significant reduction in road noise from the rear after this.
  12. You have just jumped onto a 3 year-old post. The latest firmware for MIB Columbus is 0390 I think.
  13. I also just tucked the wires behind it, very easy to do and the wires are not visible.
  14. I have an estate and the part number is 5Q0 513 049 CQ. These come from a MK7 Golf TDi 1.6. The less powerful Golfs have torsion beam suspension, as does the standard Octavia. I got mine from eBay for £40 from a low-mileage Golf. There is a full thread on this from some time back, to which you contributed I notice... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/318282-octavia-20tdi-firm-hard-suspension/page-5?hl=firm+suspension#entry4446742
  15. I fitted shock absorbers from a Mk7 Golf. They are a direct fit, 3 bolts and are much more compliant than standard.
  16. I used a place in Kettering to recover parts of my old Focus fabric seats with leather. They made a very good job but I cannot remember exactly where they were as it was 3 cars ago. If you need it I will attempt to remember the name of the place.
  17. Today I fitted a new clutch cable to the Cub, much smoother now (the clutch, not the Cub). The oil is keeping my hands nice and soft..
  18. With the lights on Auto, the switch symbol lights up green when the lights are on.
  19. Filled up the Beemer ready for the Brackley Festival Of Motorcycling tomorrow, a fantastic day out.
  20. I have had exactly this problem for some time. I have a Columbus on the latest firmware but no matter what I do it will not let me add any logos to the DAB presets. The only one that shows is BBC World Service, but that is OTA. The odd thing is that when I first got the car the logos added correctly and even stranger the logos work perfectly with the FM presets. I have tried rebooting, resetting, different logo formats but nothing works. If anyone has a magic wand to fix this I would be very grateful.
  21. In the DAB setup there is an option for Traffic Announcements, separate from the real button on the front.
  22. Andy, The update portal is now showing the correct maps for the Columbus but guess what? The download button goes to 404 File Not Found. This is comical.
